10 hours and 5 minutes before the event begins...
Rain Shinobi Village — the tallest tower, top floor conference room.
Around the round meeting table sat eight people: Yahiko, Konan, Kakuzu, Deidara, Kisame Hoshigaki, Hidan, Sasori, and Nagato.
Obito was absent — currently eating barbecue with Kakashi in Konoha.
"Regarding the deployment for the Faction War event…"
Nagato swept his gaze over the Akatsuki members present and continued calmly:
"Obito and I will head to Mary Geoise to assassinate the Celestial Dragons.Kakuzu, Deidara, Kisame, Hidan, Sasori — you'll rendezvous with the Sand Village team.Your target is the Seven Warlords of the Sea. On the way, hit a few Marine bases to rack up points."
The Seven Warlords, though pirates in name and deed, were still officially affiliated with the World Government.
"Sasori, you're in charge of contacting the Sand Village and setting a rendezvous point."
Under the insistence of his parents, Sasori — now restored to flesh and blood — gave a slight nod to show he understood.
The rest of the organization were long used to following orders without question.No one spoke up — except Deidara, who grumbled.
"What a shame! They say Mary Geoise is called a 'Holy Land.' I really wanted to see what a holy explosion would look like!"
Nagato's face shifted slightly at Deidara's words, and he added a reminder:
"Deidara, unless absolutely necessary, do not use area-of-effect attacks.Kakuzu, keep an eye on him."
Faction War was a points-based event — and friendly fire deducted points.If Deidara went "Boom! Boom! Boom!" as usual, their score might very well end up in the negatives.
"Wh—"
Deidara had barely gotten a sound out before several pitch-black tendrils coiled around him.
"Relax," Kakuzu said coldly. "From now on, he won't leave my sight."
When money was involved, Kakuzu was dead serious — the sheer intensity of his aura made Deidara swallow all his protests.
So scary…
After handling Deidara, Nagato turned toward the other troublemaker — Hidan.
"Kakuzu, watch Hidan too. Don't let him go around killing people at random."
"Got it."
Hidan, who had been grinning at Deidara's misfortune, froze and blinked blankly.
"Wait, what about me? What am I supposed to do?"
When everyone else had spoken, Yahiko finally pointed at himself.
As the leader of Akatsuki, surely he should have a mission too?
"Yahiko, you…" Nagato hesitated for a moment at the eager look in Yahiko's eyes, then sighed."You and Konan will head for the Four Seas. Find some Marine bases, get some battle experience."
He had originally meant to say, "Yahiko, stay home and study leadership — leave the fighting to us,"but when he saw Yahiko's hopeful face, the words changed on their own.
"Alright! Leave it to me!" Yahiko declared, thumping his chest.
"Meeting adjourned!"
After making the announcement, Nagato stood and walked over to Yahiko, quietly reminding him to stay safe.
"You're sleeping with me tonight," Kakuzu said, dragging Deidara toward the door as the latter protested loudly.
Kisame and the others followed, grinning as they watched the scene unfold.
Sasori, meanwhile, started chatting privately with his grandmother, setting a meeting time and place before moving on to small talk.
The next day — clear skies, a gentle breeze.
56 minutes before the event begins...
Konoha Village — inside Hashirama's residence.
"To think I'd one day be personally invited by the First Hokage himself to join his team… This is… youth!!!"
Might Guy — clad entirely in green — clenched his fists, tears streaming down his face like wide noodles.
Beside him, Hinata stood nervously, Neji's stoic face was so stiff it was clear he was tense,and Rock Lee, though excited, wasn't quite as exaggerated — perhaps because he wasn't yet Guy's student, and had yet to master the essence of "youth."
Hashirama roared with laughter, finding Guy absolutely delightful.Madara, on the other hand, looked increasingly dark-faced — feeling oddly embarrassed for once.
46 minutes before the event begins...
Sand Village — at the village gates.
The clay bird carrying five members of Akatsuki had barely landed when Sasori was immediately besieged by his parents, grandmother, and great-uncle — all pressuring him to get married.
Completely stunned, he endured the auditory assault helplessly.
Meanwhile, the other four single men of Akatsuki stood with their arms crossed beside Rasa and Shukaku, smiling and watching the drama unfold — not one of them lifting a finger to help.
36 minutes before the event begins...
Longhu Mountain — in a pavilion within the Zhengyi Celestial Master's estate.
"Didn't send it out, huh…"
Looking down at the terminal in his hand, Zhang Zhiwei sighed.
A few days earlier, he had healed his junior brother's limbs. After some rehab, the man could walk normally again.
He'd planned to invite him along to the other world,but the younger man had refused flatly after learning what the terminal meant — telling him to give it to someone younger instead.
"A young person, huh… But who?"Zhang Zhiwei pondered in silence.

After selling Transforming Gaiba Eggs and using Qi to control scissors, Wu Liuqi had saved up a decent sum — enough to buy a terminal and medicine to cure his amnesia.
But instead of buying the medicine, he spent his money to view all his past memories as an observer —thus regaining his memories while keeping his current personality intact.
The only problem was… he hadn't regained his full power.
But as they say, anything solvable with money isn't a real problem.A few more Gaiba Eggs and he'd earn enough to restore his strength.
Turning back, Wu Liuqi replied seriously:
"Da Bao, even if you claim they're from another world, no one's going to believe you. They won't sell for much."
