Chapter 104 - Nagato: Since We’re Here Anyway

When the countdown reached zero, a vast map unfurled within the minds of the group members — the world map of the Pirate realm.

In the upper-right corner of the map, a small compass spun. The islands were marked with names, but almost all of them were greyed out. Only six islands were lit — located across the East, West, North, and South Seas, plus two in the Grand Line: one in the first half and one in the New World.

These were the islands available for them to descend upon.

In gaming terms — these were their spawn points.

Those who aimed for victory and ranking naturally chose the Grand Line, specifically Twin Cape or Dressrosa.

Those content to simply earn participation rewards picked the safer options, such as Foosha Village in the East Blue.

As each member made their choice, beams of teleportation light flared to life.

The Year 1520 of the Sea Circle Calendar. It was a turbulent year, with one earth-shaking event after another.

Not long ago, the shocking news that Enies Lobby had been attacked sent panic rippling through the world. The public everywhere lived in fear and anxiety...

But there were exceptions — such as in the Kingdom of Dressrosa, the nation of love, passion, and toys ruled by Donquixote Doflamingo.

Perhaps because Doflamingo's public persona was well-crafted, or for other reasons, the citizens of Dressrosa trusted him deeply. They believed he could protect their kingdom.

Thus, within the borders of Dressrosa, life remained tranquil and untroubled — just as always.

"What a beautiful country…"

From the edge of a mushroom-shaped cliff, Hashirama gazed over the panorama of Dressrosa and sighed in admiration.

Beside him, Might Guy was eyeing the cliff's rock face eagerly, clearly itching to climb it.

"Hmph."

Uchiha Madara snorted coldly, drawing both their attention.

"Stop wasting time. Hashirama, contact Sengoku and find out where we're meeting. Guy, reach out to those three brats and check their situation."

"Got it."

Hashirama immediately opened a private chat with Sengoku.

Guy withdrew his gaze from the cliff and contacted Lee to check in.

The three kids — Hinata, Neji, and Rock Lee, still academy second-years — naturally couldn't be brought along to a battlefield where top-tier powers were clashing.

Madara had assigned them to Foosha Village to hunt wild beasts and small fry pirates, earning safe participation rewards.

For extra safety, Hinata carried in her storage space clones of Madara, Hashirama, and Guy.

Communication took only a few moments...

"Sengoku said to meet them soon at Green Bit, the small island north of Dressrosa." said Hashirama.

"The northern island…"

Madara looked northward — he could faintly make out the island's outline.

Guy soon reported that Hinata and the others were fine and had begun training under the guidance of the three clones.

"Good. Then let's move—"

Just as he spoke, a glow flared beside them — and Nagato and Obito stepped out of the light.

Their gazes met, and a chill filled the air.

"...Killing intent!"

Guy's face hardened as he dropped into a fighting stance.

The chill paused, then gradually dissipated. The two sides brushed past one another in silence.

Madara's trio walked north. Nagato and Obito headed south.

"According to the intel I got from Mr. Dragon, the king of Dressrosa is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea."

Walking along the cliff, Obito spoke as he looked toward the distant royal palace.

"A pirate… is a king?!"

Nagato frowned, clearly surprised.

"Yeah."

Obito nodded, confirming his words. Dragon wouldn't feed him false intel that could be so easily disproved. In other words, the King of Dressrosa truly was a Warlord.

"Should we take him out while we're here?"

Obito made a slicing gesture at his neck.

"...Since we're here anyway, might as well."

Nagato's tone was calm, as if they were merely running an errand.

"Let's just fly straight—"

Obito pointed toward the palace.

"You make a scene and scare the civilians off. I'll handle the palace."

Nagato interrupted, then soared into the sky.

"Fine…" Obito shrugged. "You're the boss."

His Mangekyō Sharingan spun slowly, and a massive blue Susanoo erupted from the ground.

???

At that moment, Minato, Itachi, Shisui, and Fugaku had just arrived — and the sight of the towering Susanoo left them stunned, question marks practically floating above their heads.

What the hell?! You trying to take on all four of us at once?!

They figured they'd better strike first before things went south, but then Obito suddenly shouted:

"Sensei! You wanna go fight a Warlord?!"

How did he know their alignment?Simple — the word "Pirate" floated above their heads.

Just as "Marine" floated above Madara and Hashirama's.

Oh… so he's not here to fight us.

The four hesitated for a second — lucky they hadn't attacked.

Then they caught on to the key phrase: Warlord of the Sea...

Warlord = points.

"We're in!" they replied immediately. "What's the plan?"

"Sensei, you help Nagato. The rest of you—come with me. We'll cause chaos and drive the civilians to the edges of the island."

"No problem."

Three more gigantic Susanoo mechs erupted from the ground.

Pirate faction—action initiated.

Watching the five figures disappear into the distance, a lone Black Zetsu, half-buried underground, contemplated for a moment — then decided not to interfere.

Not because he feared they'd stop attacking the Warlord and turn on him — but because he knew he wouldn't be able to steal many points from four Mangekyō users and a Rinnegan wielder.

So instead of getting involved in a thankless brawl, he decided he might as well go bully some Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise.

But first…

"I'll make a quick stop at Marineford," Black Zetsu murmured.

He was thinking about the deal with Sengoku — easily the most lucrative contract he'd ever taken.

Meanwhile, in Marineford's conference room, forty-five elite officers — all vice admirals or higher — gathered, ready to follow Sengoku into battle against the Four Emperors.

"When do we depart, Sengoku-san?" one impatient vice admiral asked.

"I've arranged substitutes for all of you," Sengoku replied. "If forty-five high-ranking officers vanish at once, it'll cause chaos. We'll cover our tracks. Once the replacements arrive, we move."

As he spoke, a notification pinged — a private message.

Black Zetsu:I'm at Marineford, at…

"Your replacements are here," Sengoku said, standing up. "After you leave, scatter and regroup at the civilian docks."

The officers rose to their feet and began filing out, one by one…
