Grass — a kind of plant.
As the mud came surging toward them, Madara and Hashirama both silently cursed in perfect unison.
Without hesitation, they flickered away instantly to avoid it.
Might Guy escaped even faster—since he didn't waste a heartbeat swearing internally, he naturally moved one step ahead.
The coastline… was no longer a coastline. The aircraft's violent crash landing had completely collapsed the shore, sending everything—sand, rock, and wreckage—sliding straight into the sea along with the plane.
Moments later, the plane burst back out from the waves and plunged nose-first into the island's dense forest.
Hashirama, Madara, and Might Guy: "..."
There was no language strong enough to describe such driving skills. "Road butcher" didn't even begin to cover it.
A short while later, a private message notification sounded in Hashirama's mind.
Sengoku:"Get into the plane."
Thinking back to the last two crashes, Hashirama's lips twitched. There was no way he was setting foot in that flying coffin again.
He passed the message along to Uchiha Madara, whose expression immediately froze as well. He wasn't interested in riding what was basically a bumper car with wings.
"Tell Sengoku," Madara said dryly, "I'll carry the plane myself. He can give directions."
A light-blue Susanoo rose up, gripping the entire aircraft. Standing on its shoulder were Hashirama and Might Guy.With a flap of its ethereal wings, it took to the skies, following Sengoku's guidance straight toward Cake Island.
Meanwhile…
While Madara, Minato, and the others were busy in the air, the rest of their allies weren't sitting idle either.
Before the operation even began, Whitebeard had already taken his flying carpet to Impel Down, hovering in the clouds above.Every so often, he privately messaged Marco, asking whether he'd run into any danger.
The terminal Marco carried had been given to him by Whitebeard seven or eight hours earlier, just to keep in touch.
Marco's answer had been reassuring—no danger so far.Every ship in the Whitebeard Pirates had been coated and hidden a thousand meters under the sea, drifting along ocean currents.Finding them in that vast, shifting darkness would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
Once he confirmed his sons were safe, Whitebeard waited patiently—until Garp sent word.
Garp:"Sengoku and I have taken most of the Navy's top fighters. We're heading to Dressrosa to join Uchiha Madara and the others, then moving on to Cake Island."
Reading that message, Whitebeard froze for a second—then quietly bowed his head for Big Mom.
Let's hope she survives this. 🙏
After three seconds of silent mourning, Whitebeard's expression hardened. He guided the flying carpet down toward Impel Down.
The raid was about to begin.
Since he could fly, he didn't bother with the front gate.Instead, he smashed through a high window with a few earth-shaking punches, widening the hole and sailing in on his carpet.
He dismissed the carpet and charged through the corridors at full speed, completely unconcerned that every surveillance Den Den Mushi was capturing his every move.
In the monitoring room, the guards stared at the screens as Whitebeard's massive figure appeared—terror slowly dawning on their faces.
BEEP—! BEEP—! BEEP—! BEEP—!
Shrill alarms blared through the corridors of Level 1 (Above Sea).
"Emergency alert! Emergency alert! Intruder detected! The intruder is Yonko Whitebeard! I repeat—the intruder is Yonko Whitebeard!"
The guards on that floor froze in panic. The name Whitebeard wasn't just a title—it was a symbol. The symbol of the world's strongest man.
Just as a rookie pirate would collapse in fear at the sight of an Admiral, so too did the junior Marines and prison guards quake at the presence of a Yonko.
Whitebeard heard the announcement echoing through the halls, but paid it no mind.He charged deeper into the prison, unleashing waves of Conqueror's Haki that blasted away anyone in his path.
Ordinary guards stood no chance—one glare, and they fainted on the spot.
From the sea-level floor to Level 1 Underground, Whitebeard took only about two minutes.
The reason it was so quick? He didn't use stairs.
He spent a minute finding the center of the floor—then slammed his fist into the ground.
With the quake-quake power roaring through his arm, the entire stone floor shattered, and Whitebeard dropped straight into the next level.
"Emergency alert! Whitebeard has broken through Level 1 and entered Level 1 Underground! Currently confirmed in Corridor 3 near the single-cell block! Stop him immediately!"
The guards on Level 1 Underground cursed internally.
Easy for you to say! Why don't YOU stop him?!
That's Whitebeard, damn it!
Even the prisoners were stunned. Their hearts pounded with disbelief.
In one cell, Buggy—wearing standard shackles—heard the broadcast. Seeing that the guards and blue gorillas had all rushed out to deal with Whitebeard, his eyes lit up.
This was… his chance to escape!
When the hallway was clear, Buggy crept to the bars and whispered the name of his skill.
"Bara Bara Great Escape!"
His body split into dozens of pieces, slipping neatly through the gaps between the bars before reassembling in the corridor.
"See ya, suckers!"
He waved cheerfully and ran, laughing maniacally—only to sprint back moments later, chased by a mob of furious blue gorillas.
Whitebeard's objective was crystal clear—Level 6 Underground.He didn't stop for anything else.
After smashing through the floor of Level 1 Underground, he dropped into Level 2.
By the time the guards and gorillas gathered, he was long gone.Buggy, meanwhile, was being chased through the corridors like a clown in a horror movie.
Whitebeard hit the ground on Level 3, then shattered it again, falling into Level 4.
Level 4 was nothing like the floors above. It was shaped like a giant cauldron—the air thick with heat. In the center, a boiling blood pool bubbled violently.Flames raged around the perimeter, leaving little safe ground to stand on. Even the floors were burning.
So, Whitebeard summoned his flying carpet again and glided toward the stairwell leading down.
By now, eleven or twelve minutes had passed since the invasion began. The alert had reached every corner of Impel Down.Officials were gathering on Level 6, ready to ambush him—or at least, to stall him.
Their goal wasn't to defeat Whitebeard—just to buy time until the Chief Warden got out of the bathroom.
That warden was Magellan, known as the prison's strongest man and wielder of the Venom-Venom Fruit.
With his strength, he might just hold off Whitebeard long enough for Marine reinforcements to arrive.
Indeed, the moment Whitebeard was spotted, the surveillance team had already phoned Marine HQ for backup.
The call was received by Fleet Admiral Sengoku (White Zetsu), who assured them,"We'll dispatch support immediately. Hold on as long as you can."
After hanging up, Sengoku (White Zetsu) thought for a moment—then decided to send Borsalino (White Zetsu) as reinforcements.
The Glint-Glint Fruit user—the fastest man alive. It made perfect sense.
Only one problem remained…
How on earth was White Zetsu supposed to turn into light?!
