When trouble arose, they immediately used a Den Den Mushi to contact Sengoku.
Sengoku, upon receiving the news, wasn't surprised at all.He had long expected Whitebeard to take advantage of the chaos and could already guess his intentions.
Whitebeard was simply seizing the moment: with the Celestial Dragons under attack and the Navy's top forces being drawn away, this was his chance to strike at Impel Down while it stood isolated — to rescue Fire Fist Ace.
The only problem was—
"Mariejois hasn't even been attacked yet…" Sengoku muttered in exasperation."That old man Whitebeard is so impatient. Always adding trouble for me."
Inside Impel Down, the only people who could actually pose a problem for Whitebeard were Magellan and Shiryu.
The two of them together might hold him off for a while — but how long depended on how much "money Whitebeard had recharged," Sengoku thought grimly.
If Whitebeard was "well-funded," Magellan and Shiryu would be instantly crushed. If he wasn't, they might last a few exchanges before falling.
Being instantly defeated or holding out for a few minutes — that was the only real difference.
After thinking for a bit, Sengoku finally said,"Send Kuzan and Borsalino to Impel Down."
They probably wouldn't make it in time for a fight anyway. If Whitebeard dared to attack early, it meant he was confident he could finish the job before Kizaru and Aokiji even arrived.Whether they got there early or late, it wouldn't make much difference.
After ending the short communication, a little while later, Borsalino (White Clone) and Kuzan (White Clone) led two warships full of elite troops straight toward Impel Down.
Even if they were late, they still had to show up — appearances had to be kept up, and they could help clean up the aftermath.
At the same time, in a sea forever shrouded in thick mist — a region known as the Triangle of Terror.
Chiyo, Kakuzu, and the others rode a massive clay dragon into the fog-covered sea.
They had only been able to find this strange region thanks to the map provided by Muyang.
After entering this alternate world, the map that had appeared in their minds remained. Whenever a group member silently thought of "map," the painted scroll of the area would reappear in their mind, showing their location marked with a small arrow — just like an in-game minimap.
Looking at the dense fog around them, Kisame felt a hint of nostalgia."This feels just like being back in the Hidden Mist Village."
Chiyo and Kakuzu, both old enough to remember such things, nodded quietly. The fog here truly rivaled the mist of Kirigakure.
Hearing Kisame's comment and seeing the others nod, the young and curious Deidara couldn't help asking,"The fog in the Hidden Mist Village is that thick, hmm?"
"It's called the Hidden Mist Village for a reason," Kisame chuckled."Of course the mist is thick enough to be its trademark."
"How's it compare to this place, hmm?" Deidara asked, more intrigued.
"Not quite as extreme," Kisame replied.
Before Deidara could ask more, Kakuzu grabbed his shoulder and said in a low, gravelly voice,"Deidara, you've flown past it. Turn back."
"…Got it." Deidara's face stiffened.
The clay dragon turned around and flew back a short distance.
Moments later, a huge sail marked with a skull came into view.
"Whoa… a ship-island?" Kisame exclaimed softly. "The guy who built this has some imagination!"
The others also showed faint expressions of surprise.Even they were impressed by someone who could turn an island into a ship.
After circling the island once, Deidara asked,"Where should we land, hmm?"
"At the island's edge," Kakuzu said, pointing to a corner where several ships were docked."Let's gather some intel first, then plan how to deal with Gecko Moria."
The information they had — whether from Sengoku or Obito — was basic at best: just simple notes on identity and status like Shichibukai or Great Pirate. No real data on combat power — basically useless.
Ever since the assassination attempt on Hashirama, Kakuzu had stopped fighting unprepared battles.Information was essential — even a little was better than nothing.
And since they were new to this world, caution was necessary. Getting heavily injured and being "disqualified" was the last thing they wanted.(The terminal's safety system would teleport the user home if it detected a fatal threat.)
"I've got no objections."
The others nodded in agreement.
Seeing that no one disagreed, Deidara guided the clay dragon toward the corner where a ship was moored.
As the dragon slowly descended into visible range, the crew members on deck all spotted the approaching white shadow.
"What's that?" asked Luffy, tilting his head in confusion while holding a net and a cage.
"It's white… could it be a… a… g-g-g-ghost?!"Usopp's imagination, as vivid as ever, immediately terrified himself. He trembled, eyes rolling back, and collapsed — no one sure if he'd really fainted or was just pretending.
"Eeeek!"Nami and Chopper, also part of the "Coward Trio," screamed, hugging each other in fright with tears streaming down their faces.
"It's got wings, a long neck, a long tail, and four limbs…" Robin said calmly, watching the white figure in the sky."It looks somewhat like the dragons in old legends."
"Ho? A ghost dragon, then?!"Zoro's eyes gleamed with interest as he gripped his sword and drew it slightly."Sounds like something worth cutting!"
"I wonder what dragon meat tastes like," Sanji mused, cigarette between his lips."Hey, moss-head — if you're gonna cut it, hurry up. I'll figure out how to cook it after."
"Stop it already!!!"An enraged Nami darted forward at lightning speed, appearing behind Zoro and Sanji in an instant, and smashed both of them into the deck with her fists.
"Gomu Gomu no…"
Still fuming, Nami suddenly heard the ominous sound of rubber stretching. She turned around to see Luffy grinning, winding up his right arm with gleeful anticipation.
"No, don't!!!" Nami cried, reaching out.
"Stop, Luffy!!!"Usopp and Chopper ran toward him, trying desperately to restrain their captain.
"…Pistol!!!"
But Nami's heartfelt plea and the others' frantic efforts couldn't stop him.Luffy's elastic arm shot skyward — straight toward the white dragon.
Pugi!
His fist sank into the clay dragon's body.
"…Pugi?"
The entire Straw Hat crew froze for a moment, heads tilting in confusion at the strange sound.
The clay dragon had drawn close to the Thousand Sunny, so Luffy hadn't hit it too hard — the impact caused little damage. But it did alert the one controlling it: Deidara.
"Who's the idiot that dares attack me, hmm?!"Deidara leaned over the dragon's shoulder, glaring down furiously.
"There's… someone up there?!"The Straw Hat Pirates shouted in unison.
