Chapter 126 - Dimensional Mercha… Ship?

Returning to the previous topic, Byakuya sipped her cold, refreshing drink, glanced at Muyang from the corner of her eye, and voiced the question in her heart."So, why exactly are you taking a boat?"

"Why?" Muyang tilted his head and thought for a moment. "Mainly because I want to. I've never taken a boat before, so I wanted to experience what it's like."

"I see." Byakuya nodded with understanding. In other words, it was just a spur-of-the-moment idea that suddenly popped into his head.

She herself had moments like that. For example, when she was out shopping and saw some pretty outfit, she would occasionally imagine how Black Rabbit would look wearing it.

Once the thought started, it was impossible to stop. Until she actually saw it with her own eyes, it felt like a feather was tickling her heart—itchy and unbearable.

Because of that, she completely understood Muyang's choice and didn't say anything more.

With her curiosity satisfied, Byakuya shifted topics."When will we reach the next island?"

People are different. What interests you might not interest me. Rather than sailing across the blue ocean on a sailboat, Byakuya preferred strolling through towns in search of beauties hidden among the sea of people.

Not to mention the uniquely structured geography of the Pirate world—each island was vastly different from the next. Traveling to a new island was like opening a blind box. You never knew what you were going to get.

It could be a winter island of swirling snowflakes, a spring island bursting with life, a hot summer island full of flowers and birdsong, a cool autumn island with falling leaves…

Or it could be a futuristic tech island, a desert island of yellow sand, a thunder island where lightning fell like rain, or an ice-and-fire island split between frost and flames…

Anything was possible, full of surprises—and that was why Byakuya was having so much fun.

"No idea~~"

Muyang's flat reply was like a bucket of cold water dumped over her head, extinguishing the excitement that had been burning as she imagined what the next island might be like. Her stiff neck twisted bit by bit, the way it creaked made it feel as though you could hear crack… crack…

"What did you just say?"

As the captain, you dare say you don't know where the ship is heading? Are you kidding?!

"I said… I don't know where the boat will drift to."

Byakuya quickly extracted the key word from his sentence: drift.

A brief moment of thought—and she exclaimed in shock,"You're not steering the ship?"

"Just as you said," Muyang admitted calmly. From the start, he hadn't controlled the sailboat's route. The ship was being pushed forward by the currents and wind. Where it drifted depended entirely on fate.

"..."

Byakuya opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out. She realized that letting pure fate decide what island they'd reach next… seemed oddly interesting.

Thinking that, she lay back on the deck chair, closed her eyes, and enjoyed her sunbath.

Creaaaak—

After one or two minutes of peaceful silence, the friction of a turning wooden door suddenly broke the calm.

"Why did a person suddenly appear on the ship?"

With her sharp senses, the moment the door opened, Byakuya noticed that a third person had appeared inside what should have been a two-person boat.

She wasn't responsible for the extra person—meaning there was a fifty-percent chance it was Muyang's doing.

So she cast him a questioning look.

"A customer," Muyang explained. "I temporarily turned the cabin door into a space-time gate. Which means this boat is now a dimensional store… No, to be precise, a dimensional merchant ship."

Once she confirmed it was Muyang's fault, Byakuya stopped caring and closed her eyes again to continue her sunbathing.

Muyang, however, couldn't stay relaxed—he had a customer to receive.

Standing up, Muyang examined the newcomer.

When you look at someone from afar, your eyes are usually drawn to their most distinctive feature.

And right now, the most eye-catching thing about this customer was his three-colored, star-shaped hair—black with red, and blond bangs.

Following the hair downward, there was a lightning-shaped bang on his forehead, slightly lighter crimson-purple eyes, and sharp, well-defined facial features.

He wore a pure black V-neck sleeveless shirt, revealing arms with visible muscle lines. A belt around his waist added a hint of style.

Combined with black casual pants and boots, he exuded a cool, edgy vibe.

[Yu-Gi-Oh · Mutou Yugi]

As information about the newcomer surfaced in his mind, Muyang walked toward Mutou Yugi—who appeared expressionless and calmly observing his surroundings, and in fact really was calm.

Yugi had been through many storms. He had saved the world multiple times, met people from the future, learned about parallel worlds. After experiencing so many bizarre events, suddenly being invited into a dimensional store didn't really shock him…

Okay, fine—he was actually pretty shocked.

At first, when he sensed the space around him changing, Yugi's first thought was:Ah! Am I getting dragged into another inexplicable incident again? I wonder what I'll face this time.

Then, when a bunch of information about the dimensional store suddenly appeared in his mind, his thoughts became:This situation seems different from the ones before.

And when he stepped onto the deck, his thought became:Where's the dimensional store? Why did it turn into a ship?! Is this new enemy that sloppy?

"Welcome. I am the dimensional merchant, Muyang."

As he spoke, Muyang clapped his hands.

Following the clap, a sleek, high-tech bracelet-like terminal appeared on Yugi's left wrist.

Staring at the terminal on his arm, Yugi was just about to say "So it begins?", when a sudden flood of information poured into his mind and interrupted him.

The information included how to operate the terminal, how to use its features, how to recharge it, and so on.

Perhaps it was because too much information was dumped into his mind at once—or maybe for another reason—Yugi felt that among all the things he learned, the part about how to recharge was the clearest.

"…Is that my imagination?"

Yugi asked himself quietly.

"Probably." He gently shook his head and stopped dwelling on it. Instead, he moved on to verifying whether the store was real.

Verification was simple: first confirm whether he was currently in a hallucination or in reality; then check whether the items in the store were real.

Muyang didn't stop him. After introducing himself, he stood quietly to the side, like a spectator watching an actor perform.

Once he confirmed everything was real—and not some conspiracy—and truly an unbelievable stroke of fortune…

Yugi's emotions surged. If the descriptions of the dimensional store were all accurate, then fulfilling his deepest wish would be incredibly simple.

"Atem… we'll be able to meet again soon…"

With that thought burning in his heart, Yugi looked at the terminal again—and instantly fell silent at the prices.
