"Sir Lancelot, it is a knight's duty to slay monsters and protect the innocent. Go! Do not let the Unbroken Lake Light be stained by that foul miasma!" King Arthur spoke with the pride of a king, though her heart surged with emotion when she saw Lancelot. She could tell this Lancelot was completely different from before. A glance at Tia confirmed her suspicion—Tia must have taken the Command Seals from his former Master back when he was still Berserker.
"Yes!" Lancelot answered loudly, then turned toward the giant sea demon. His aura flared with full force, and the Unbroken Lake Light shone with a dazzling brilliance.
"In the name of the Round Table! Reach the end, surpass the limit. O king beyond, witness this light! All bonds severed—Overloaded Lake Light!"
Lancelot's steps shifted at lightning speed as he charged at the giant sea demon. With both hands gripping the Unbroken Lake Light, he leapt high into the air and brought the sword down in a mighty swing. At the very moment the blade descended, the sword's glow intensified so much that everyone had to shield their eyes. The light turned the surrounding land, stretching for a kilometer, into bright day.
When the light faded, the massive sea demon had been completely vaporized by the sword's overloaded magical energy.
Lancelot stood still where the monster had been.
A gentle breeze passed by, making his white cape flutter softly and rustle in the wind.
Meanwhile, on the roof of the Holy Church, the golden king still held a small, blue, hand-sized object—the Mooncell. He looked down at the group who had just slain the giant sea demon and let out a light scoff before turning his gaze to Matou Sakura.
"This is a treasure I grant to you, little girl. Take it with gratitude," the golden king said, towering above Sakura. But Sakura was still in a daze, unsure of what was happening.
When the King of Conquerors first pulled Sakura out of the worm pit, her body was awake, but her mind was completely shut down. Only after he slapped the worms off her did she slowly regain awareness. Then he tossed her into the ox cart. She stared blankly at him, then at Tia and Waver, still not realizing she had been saved.
It wasn't until Tohsaka Tokiomi picked her up that she saw her father's face and suddenly understood she was safe. Later, Tokiomi carried her up to the rooftop, where she saw the golden king giving her something. Before she could figure out what it was, her attention was caught by the huge sea monster pounding against the barrier in front of her.
After the monster was destroyed, Sakura finally saw the people on the ground—those who had saved her while she was out of it.
But then the golden king's voice pulled her back.
When Tokiomi saw the golden king gifting something to Sakura, he was stunned. He quickly set Sakura down on the roof and respectfully accepted the Mooncell with both hands, saying, "Thank you for your generosity, my king!"
Tokiomi looked at the blue object in his hand, completely clueless about its purpose, but he didn't dare to ask. He knew it was meant for Sakura, so he
"Sakura, this is a gift from the king. Hurry and thank him," Tokiomi urged.
Sakura seemed to understand and mimicked Tokiomi's gesture, bowing slightly. "Thank you for your gift, my king."
Her childish voice was so adorable that even the golden king couldn't hold back his laughter.
"Hahahaha! Little girl! Use this treasure well! It is the core controller of an ancient relic I stumbled upon. With your imaginary element, you might even be able to unlock it!" After saying that, the golden king laughed loudly and left.
Tokiomi remained formal and respectful until the golden king was gone. Only then did he relax. But when he looked at the blue cube in Sakura's hands, he still had no idea what it was.
As for Sakura, the moment she held the Mooncell, her eyes lost their light again, like she had returned to that self-isolated state in the worm pit.
"Sakura, do you know what this is?" Tokiomi asked.
Sakura suddenly snapped back and looked at him. She shook her head. "I don't know."
"Is that so…" Tokiomi sighed. "Never mind. Let's go home. Looks like tonight's battle is over."
Even after the golden king left, his words—"the core controller of an ancient relic, your imaginary element might be able to unlock it"—still lingered in everyone's minds.
At this moment, Tia strongly suspected that this golden king wasn't just the Gilgamesh from the Fourth Holy Grail War. He might even have the memories of Fate/EXTRA and Fate/EXTRA CCC.
Fate/EXTRA and Fate/EXTRA CCC take place in an alternate timeline of the Fate universe, completely different from this world. Fate/EXTRA CCC is the sequel to Fate/EXTRA.
The Mooncell appears in Fate/EXTRA as a supercomputer on the moon, and the entire story happens inside that supercomputer.
In Fate/EXTRA CCC, an AI named BB, who was created from Sakura, invades the Mooncell. And now, here in front of Tia, she had just seen Sakura receive the Mooncell…
While Tia was lost in thought, Lancelot's Command Seal time limit ran out. He reverted from Saber back to Berserker, his armor turning pitch black once more.
This sudden change drew everyone's attention—except Kayneth, whose eyes were still fixed on Sakura.
"Sir Lancelot, you…" King Arthur's face darkened when she saw him like this.
"I… when I was summoned… Matou Zouken… put a Mad Enhancement spell on me… so now… I can't control… myself… If not for my Master's strong mana… I wouldn't even… be able… to speak…" Lancelot said with great effort.
"Is that so..." King Arthur looked a little down. She really hoped she could fight alongside the Knights of the Round Table once more.
"No need... to worry... my Master... is very strong... he will find a way... to free me... from this madness..."
Like I'm really that capable.
Tia had just turned her attention away from Matou Sakura when she heard Lancelot bragging about himself.
