Tia knew very well that Gilgamesh's treasury really did contain all the treasures of the world, and this was because of the conceptual power added after it became a Noble Phantasm.
It didn't matter if some weapon was made in later generations and had nothing to do with Gilgamesh. There was no way its original version existed in Gilgamesh's treasury. But once it appeared in this world as a treasure, its original concept would automatically be collected by the treasury.
But if this concept wasn't clearly explained, no one would ever think of it. Neither King Arthur nor Alexander the Great ever imagined that Gilgamesh's treasury worked with such a conceptual rule.
Even though she understood, hearing King Arthur complain that Gilgamesh was as crazy as Gilles de Rais made Tia happy, especially since both Gilgamesh and Gilles de Rais were called "Gil." Enkidu called Gilgamesh Gil, and Jeanne also called Gilles de Rais Gil. That was… quite a coincidence.
When she saw the look on Gilgamesh's face after hearing King Arthur say that, Tia felt very amused.
Watching it live was nothing like watching through a screen.
"Hahaha!" Alexander the Great burst out laughing at King Arthur's words. He was also a bit amused that Gilgamesh called something like the Holy Grail a treasure. "Gilgamesh, do you really call that Holy Grail a treasure in your vault?"
"Hmph! Of course! What's the problem, you mongrel!" Gilgamesh said as if it was only natural.
"Oh, that's troublesome. A great King of Heroes calling something so filthy a treasure? That hurts your kingly image!" Alexander the Great said casually.
"Filthy? Conqueror King! What do you mean? The Holy Grail is a sacred thing! How can you call it filthy!" King Arthur still hadn't recovered, or rather, this was her first time joining a Holy Grail War as a Servant. Her real body hadn't even entered the Throne of Heroes yet, so her obsession was deep. And since she had seen a real, omnipotent Holy Grail before, her understanding of it was based on that.
"Conqueror King, are you insulting my treasure? Are you trying to make me think it's filthy so I'll give it up, and then you can win without fighting?" Gilgamesh had a similar thought to King Arthur and didn't consider it could be some huge conspiracy.
"Oh? So you think I'm trying to trick you into giving up the Holy Grail with words? You're wrong! I am Iskandar, the King of Conquerors! My life has always been about taking! If I wanted the Holy Grail, I'd take it openly, never with cheap tricks!" Alexander the Great shot back immediately. "Ah, so tonight's banquet ends here? That's a shame."
But not everyone there thought the same as Gilgamesh and King Arthur.
Waver already knew the truth and just sighed quietly.
Tia, however, started doubting Gilgamesh even more. The same Gilgamesh who gave Matou Sakura the Moon Cell—could he really not know the truth about the Fuyuki Holy Grail? Or was he just acting?
Irisviel and Emiya Kiritsugu both began to doubt the Holy Grail because of Alexander the Great's words.
"We need to investigate the Holy Grail carefully. Iris, do you know anything?" Emiya Kiritsugu asked Irisviel.
Irisviel shook her head. "But… I feel like the Conqueror King is telling the truth. The head of the family seems to be hiding something from me."
They weren't far from King Arthur, so their words carried clearly through the quiet night.
"Iris, are you serious?" King Arthur turned to ask her.
Irisviel nodded.
"Oh?" Gilgamesh noticed King Arthur and Irisviel's reaction, narrowed his eyes, and looked toward the Tohsaka mansion. "Looks like I need to ask Tokiomi a few questions."
Just then, an Assassin suddenly appeared behind Waver, holding a dagger, aiming straight for his heart.
Tia never expected Hassan of the Cursed Arm to attack so suddenly. She froze, but someone reacted faster—Lancelot.
Lancelot had been in spirit form near Tia all along, though he hadn't shown himself. That didn't mean other Servants didn't know he was there. King Arthur and the others knew, so even Alexander the Great didn't move to save Waver.
In an instant, Lancelot thrust the demon-slaying spear Tia gave him through Hassan's heart, then lifted the spear with one hand and tossed Hassan away.
"Beautiful skill!" Alexander the Great praised.
"As expected of Sir Lancelot," King Arthur nodded with a calm tone.
"Hmph! Just a mad dog turned into trash," Gilgamesh sneered. "But… that spear… and the two swords on his back…" He seemed to notice the Noble Phantasms he had thrown during the fight with the sea monster at the church. His brows furrowed slightly, and in an instant, those treasures returned to his side.
Tia noticed too and was glad she remembered what they were.
Seeing the treasures return to him, Gilgamesh frowned, looked at Lancelot, then turned his gaze to Tia. "Oh? Interesting…"
Tia had just been relieved, but the moment Gilgamesh looked at her, her whole body went cold.
Lancelot, after killing Hassan, also saw Gilgamesh looking at Tia and immediately moved to stand in front of her.
"Master… use… a Command Seal…" Lancelot said.
"Yeah… but not yet," Tia replied. Even though Gilgamesh's stare gave her chills, she hadn't lost her composure. She knew King Arthur and Alexander the Great wouldn't let him act recklessly.
Sure enough, both King Arthur and Alexander the Great turned toward Gilgamesh. They didn't move, but anyone could tell that if Gilgamesh tried anything, they would step in.
