Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: It’s Here

Lancelot hadn't gone far yet, so he was the first to hear Gilgamesh and Tia talking. He turned around in shock.

"Master, you…" Lancelot looked at Tia, "No, you're not Master! You're… a Servant!" Lancelot suddenly realized, "The God-Slayer!"

But the battlefield didn't give Lancelot any time to freeze. In the brief moment he was shocked by Tia, huge tentacles were already striking.

Far away, Waver, Emiya Kiritsugu, and Irisviel were also staring at Tia in surprise, and even King Arthur and Alexander the Great, who were still fighting, looked over—only to be forced back into hacking at tentacles in the next second.

"Hey! God-Slayer! If you came here to kill that thing, then hurry up and do it! We can't hold on much longer! No matter how many tentacles we cut, they keep coming! If we leave it alone, they'll start attacking civilians on the riverbank!" Alexander the Great didn't care what Senji Muramasa was thinking. He only knew that the God-Slayer was here to kill the god, so he should act now.

"Oh my, oh my, that's not the true god—just a simple projection. Your Noble Phantasms can kill it. I have to save my strength for when the real god comes down," Senji Muramasa replied with a calm smile.

"But I can't even get the chance to use my Noble Phantasm! These tentacles never stop attacking me!" King Arthur knew that one blast of his Noble Phantasm could finish this giant octopus, but he had no chance to release it.

Just then, Tia forced her way out, shoving Senji Muramasa aside.

Senji Muramasa, move aside. I need to say something.

Tia said that to Senji Muramasa as she pushed him away.

"Tia, I'm your ancestor, and you can't even show me some respect?"

Grandpa Muramasa, move aside, please. Let me speak.

By now, Tia had already forced him out, but she still replied politely, playing along with his words.

"Such… a rude descendant," Senji Muramasa muttered, but he didn't really care.

"Great King! Use your Noble Phantasm to trap the big octopus inside your Reality Marble, then throw it toward the exit of the river! The King, get ready to fire your Noble Phantasm the moment it comes out! Hey! Emiya Kiritsugu! How about using a Command Seal to refill The King's magic now?" Tia shouted first to Alexander the Great, then to King Arthur, and finally to Emiya Kiritsugu without holding back.

Emiya Kiritsugu sighed helplessly in the distance.

"Looks like my identity as a Master is already exposed," he muttered and then used a Command Seal. "Saber, full recovery."

In the next instant, King Arthur's aura completely changed.

He had already used his Noble Phantasm earlier against Alexander's army in the Reality Marble, and before that, he had fought Diarmuid, so his magic was almost gone. Still, as a Saber-class Servant, he naturally had more magic than Alexander, so he could still handle the tentacles, though he couldn't release his Noble Phantasm anymore, which made him seem weaker.

Now that King Arthur was fully restored, his aura burst out again. Huge magic filled his body, and the sheer force of it blew away the attacking tentacles.

"Oh? So it's back to little Tia now?" Alexander the Great sounded curious after hearing Tia's words. He seemed surprised that Tia could come out of being possessed by a Servant, but then he laughed and said, "Haha! So little Tia knows so much about my Noble Phantasm? Hahaha! That's right, I can do it!"

Alexander agreed to Tia's request, and in the next instant, a violent storm erupted around him. The entire giant octopus was swept straight into the Reality Marble of Alexander the Great's Ionian Hetairoi.

"Whew~" King Arthur let out a breath of relief, then looked at Tia. "Tia, just like you said, I'll get ready to release my Noble Phantasm!"

Tia nodded.

King Arthur took a deep breath and quietly stood on the water. Unlike the last time she fought Alexander the Great, when she just spoke the chant and fired a light blast without even charging, this time tiny points of light began to appear around her, like stars in the night sky, lighting up everything around.

Yes, this time King Arthur was building up her power. More and more glowing motes floated up from the river, gathering around her and not fading away.

"My King…" Lancelot was visibly moved when he saw this scene.

"Heh." Gilgamesh smirked as he looked at King Arthur, clearly amused by her current state.

"King Arthur…" Waver muttered to himself, but in the next moment, someone appeared out of thin air beside him.

Tia looked over and realized Alexander the Great's Ionian Hetairoi wouldn't hold for much longer.

Right then, King Arthur slowly raised her holy sword, her gaze fixed seriously on the enemy ahead.

Seeing this, Tia knew she was ready. "Teacher Waver!"

Waver heard Tia call him and understood what it meant. He nodded at the man who had appeared, and that person instantly vanished.

In the next moment, the giant octopus appeared in the exact spot Tia had mentioned before.

"Never thought I'd live to swing my holy sword at a god. No matter where you came from, evil god—this is your end! Ex—calibur!!!!"

In an instant, dazzling light once again shone from King Arthur's holy sword. The massive pillar of light, far stronger and greater than the one she unleashed on Alexander the Great earlier, roared forward and swallowed the octopus completely.

A few seconds later, the light faded, and the giant octopus was gone.

However…

On the water, Gilles de Rais was still standing there quietly.

But this time, even though the Caster-class Gilles de Rais was standing right in front of them, no one could sense his presence. If they couldn't see him with their eyes, they would have thought he had vanished along with the octopus.

"Hmm!" Gilgamesh suddenly glared at Gilles de Rais with a look of deep seriousness, as if something about him truly shocked him.

"He's here," Senji Muramasa warned Tia.
