Chapter 31 - 1) Darion

washed my face off after a long while of staring at the mirror. Lately, I've been depressed. I've never just been emotionally disappointed in myself. Now, I was tired of everything. Giving up is never an option though, I've got to always figure out something to make it work.

I lost Rose, I committed myself to being with her. Without being ready to lose her, I lost her to two females. I didn't comprehend with the situation when I first saw them. The state of being shocked consumed me. It didn't take long to realize I didn't satisfy her though, but I couldn't have her around after we were finished. So disbanding her was the best thing I could do.

I unwrapped the bandage over the stab wound Rose gave me. I poured alcohol over my wound, the sting caused me to grimace but I've been through far greater pain in my life. She's strong, I knew she was a savage but I was prepared for that shit. I was angry, she was angry as well. Her anger overpowered mine, she's strong as there comes from a woman. That's why I'm in love with her.

I bandaged my stab back up and left the bathroom. Today, I'm going out into public for an interview. Simon Dyson, an international interviewer sent me an offer. I couldn't deny it, if I did it would be stupid. This way, I could announce my going to Rome and my breaking up with Rose.

I took the elevator down to the lobby room when I fully dressed. I chose the most expensive hotel room in New York that I could find and told nobody, yet she still seemed to find me. I guess choosing the most expensive room was pretty obvious.

"You look handsome, camera perfect." Morgan said as I approached her.

"How did you know I was here?" I asked.

"I just lurked a little."

"On what?"

"That truly doesn't matter." She laughed.

"Whatever you say." I said as I continued walking.

"This interview is going to be simple. Try your best to keep your temper, God knows how crazy you are." She started. "Answer each question short and easy, don't throw mixed signals. That shit ain't going to do none but lead to more questions. Try to make this thing quickly as possible."

"Yes, thanks for the reminder Morgan." I replied.

"So are you ready?"

"For the interview?"

"Yes, the interview. I'll ask questions to help you if your not ready."

"I'm ready, I don't need the help."

"Are you going to replace Rose?" She suddenly asked.

Replacing Rose isn't easy for me to do. Everyone knows she's a genius, there's not many people like that. Nobody else in the world is another Rose, so going without her will never be easy for me. I didn't expect things to end like that, I never expected things to be this way.

I've been studying her ever since I saw her that day in her class at Harvard. It was about a year ago, I was visiting as I normally do. She wore a red dress to class that day, her hair was long and over her shoulders, her beauty staggered me. I couldn't help but feel like she was special. Her body frame was stupendous in that dress. Her skin was so flawless, all I could think about is what she would look like out of that dress. I was stuck on Rose Castro, the very first day I caught glimpse of her.

She rose her hand for every question I asked. I knew she was smart from that, it was a brilliant first impression. She sat near the front of the class and raised her hand to every question confidently, that's when I realize how genuine Rose is.

After the class period, when the students were all gone I had a chance to speak with the instructor of the class. I asked her questions about Rose, individually. She found it weird, but still answered my questions. She told me Rose is her top student and had the potential of being a five star lawyer. I knew I had to get her.

It was sickening maybe, but my addiction for her wasn't going to be easy letting go of. So I kept it, I furthered my knowledge of Rose. I was expecting her to be from some wealthy household, most likely from somewhere warm. A California, or a Florida, maybe even Arizona. I expected her to have a probably have a rich white dad and a sexy ass black momma with nice ass tits and fat ass. My inference was that her parents were married, my inference was terrible wrong all around.

Rose wasn't wealthy in a warm state. Her parents were both dead, she grew up in a hard city of St. Louis. One of the worst cities in America, for decades. Not many cities topped St. Louis with crime rates, there wasn't too many good parts of the city. Rose just happened to be born and raised in the worst part.

I found out her father had been murdered back in 2013, but I didn't know until recently it was her who murdered him. She didn't have a good relationship with her father. She barely knew the man, but I'm guessing she knew him well enough to take his life. Her mother died early in 2014, a drive by shooting killed her.

She took countless amount of lives growing up. She grew up in an area where everyone had the kill or be killed mentality. Most people would attempt to kill her, because of the gang she comes from. She was born into a gang called 5150, founded by Starlin and her mom. But she switched into a gang called Zero Tolerance founded by Jordan.

I read from a diary that Starlin and Jordan were close friends. But Jordan was kicked out of 5150 by Starlin, just for some agreement with other gangs around the city. So Jordan continued on and built a gang of his own, with help from others in 5150 who wanted to leave with him. Like Rose for an example, she thought kicking out Jordan was stupid. Let me remind you, she was like seven years old. Her maturity level is always too high for her age, her mother made sure of that.

"Well are you?" Morgan spoke again, snapping me back into reality.

It's too much to replace Rose Castro. It's too much to just stay in this miserable state wishing I had Rose Castro. Either way, it's going to be too much.

"Yes, I've got no other choice." I finally answered. "Are you riding with me, or separately?"

"I'll ride with you, be ready."

"Ready for what?"

"Media boo, this is New York. They on yo ass."

"Wait, what?"

I thought coming to this hotel meant I would be left alone and unfound. Not only did Morgan find me, but the fucking media did too. I sighed softly as I stepped outside the hotel doors. I held the door open for Morgan as the cameras began flashing.

I knew fame, I knew flashing lights and random questions about random things. I was used to this, I can ignore the questions. I learned to remain focus on one thing and evade the rest from my mind. It's actually easy when everyone's talking to you simultaneously, you'll only hear a bunch of yelling if you don't pay too much attention. That's all I heard as we walked to the limo car that just pulled up for us.

"Where did you park?" Morgan pulled me to her and said loudly.

"Garage." I answered.

"Well your car is staying there," She opened the limo door. "Get in."

The partition was already up. When Morgan closed the door behind her, the driver began driving to our destination. I appreciated Morgan's presence, going through this alone may be more difficult. I'm capable of doing it, because I've been alone before. It's just simpler with her around to assist.

"Thanks Morgan." I said softly.

"For what?" She replied.

"Everything."

"Don't get sentimental." She rolled her eyes. "You need Rose, because your soft side isn't for me to see."

She was right, I can't show my feelings to anybody. I've got to keep the impression they already have of me. I sighed, and straightened my frame.

"Thanks for just being my secretary then." I acknowledged her again, but differently.

She laughed softly. "Much better Mr. Waters."

"Okay," I nodded. "So we're running through the questions?"

"Thought you didn't need help."

"Ask me questions Morgan."

"Okay Mr. Waters, why haven't you shut down your company even after the President's death?"

"What does his death have to do with me?"

She smiled. "Perfect, next question."

I nodded. "Okay."

"So Mr. Waters." She started. "Are the rumors of you being homosexual true?"

I looked at her sideways. What the hell kind of question is that? There's no way that they would ask me that. Apparently, my stare cracked her. She busted into laughter, she's a hell of a character. Even after one of her best friends were assassinated on live television, she's humorous and smiling. Jordan got me the most solid secretary he possible could, he told me she'd be great. I just didn't think he meant this great.

"No, those rumors are definitely false."

"Okay, what about the rumors of you killing the President."

She stopped laughing, her face has became serious than I've seen. Does she really think I killed the President? I have nothing to do with his death, even though I so wish I did. Whoever killed the President is a genius, they had to be in order to get the bomb in the Oval Office.

I sighed softly and spoke. "No, I didn't kill the President of the United States."

"There's no other explanation, your the ones he were targeting. He wanted GTAU to shut down, so you killed him. Am I correct?"

"Incorrect."

"There's no other explanation-"

A click went off in my brain. "Yes, there is another explanation. An American citizen was beheaded, just hours before the Presidents death. To my knowledge, it would only be smart for them to make another attack on the heart of our country and use GTAU as leverage for escape."

Morgan clapped. "You are amazing, your a true genius. Make sure that's known, that's the main rumor trending on the media so it's sure to come at you. Say that exact same thing in reply Darion, it'll put all the attention on President Dangers. Everyone will want the President to make a stronger move on the terrorist group, not GTAU."

"Thank you, I'll be sure to say that." I said softly.

We sat the remaining of the ride talking about how the President may have died. She said she thinks the President may have died of a terrorist attack as well. The thing is, I wasn't completely sure if that's what I really thought happened or not. Everything just didn't add up or make any sense at all. The President gave Jordan to the terrorist and paid them money, why would they kill them. Morgan was too smart to believe that stupid lie I made up was actually true, I didn't question it. When we arrived to our destination, I prepared myself for an interview that could change everything forever
