Ray finally felt that, at the very least, the internal conflict within the Walker family had come to a stop. Everyone was now free from bindings and constant protection. All the children had been sent to their own courtyards. Ray, however, still had no courtyard of his own. He continued to live in the same courtyard as Diana. The four wives and Robert were currently gathered, discussing something.
Ray finally got the chance to see what the system has to offer. He blinked his eyes, and his matrix black box activated. When he opened his eyes, a screen appeared in front of him.
It displayed his stats. He could interact with it using either his mind or his finger. Since no one else was around, he used his finger. He touched the screen.

Ray had been a gamer in his past life, so he understood most of the concepts. Each tab he selected displayed a description. When he clicked on his name, it showed information about his reincarnation, his past and current family names, his life story, and much more.
What intrigued him the most was the library and the system: 2/3 sections.
He clicked on the Library tab first. As always, a description appeared:
[Description: The Library contains everything you've read so far in both your past and present lives—novels, manga, books, articles, and more. To store a book in the library, you must finish reading it. If you only read part of it, only that part will be stored. You can access any stored book with a single click. A list of available books is below. Click to view.]
The list was long. However, he had read very few books in his past life. Most of the books on the list came from his current life. They were organized into different sections—for example, the Formation section included topics like protection formations, cultivation formations for mass energy gathering, trap formations, killing formations, and many more. The list went on and on.
Next, he clicked on System: 2/3.
[Description: You have managed to discover two of the three core mysteries needed to create this system. One more essential component is required to make the system faster and more efficient. So far, you have obtained two types of soul techniques: Formation and Talisman. You must now find the third—either another soul technique or a cultivation technique or a unique item—to complete the system.]
There was no further information on what the third component might be. He had to guess—either another soul technique or something rare and special that would empower the system even further.
Thanks to the system, his soul was constantly cultivating on its own. Whenever he used soul energy to create formations or talismans, the system helped regenerate that energy. Although the auto-cultivation speed was only one-tenth of what he could achieve through traditional meditation, it was still much better than nothing.
After exploring the system, Ray realized that it was like a newborn baby—like using Windows 95 or something even slower. His system clearly needed an upgrade. He had to find the main ingredient that would evolve his matrix, unlocking its full potential and revealing everything the system could do in the future.
For now, though, he was content with what he had.
Even though the system held much for him to learn, Ray had something else on his mind—a creation. He had noticed that his mother always had to physically walk to someone whenever she needed to deliver a message. There were no devices in this world to communicate over long distances.
So, he started thinking—could he make a communication device, like a phone, but powered by magic?
He had already attempted this a few times. But since he wasn't a phone engineer or any kind of engineer in his past life—just a business student and gamer—progress was slow. After finishing his studies, he had worked a desk job for a short time before becoming a successful online gamer. That is the time he would earn money online.
Still, he was determined to make it happen. Using the concept of the matrix, he envisioned a small tower acting as a magical signal transmitter.
All of a sudden he made a small matrix tower. He felt a connection to the tower.
Next, he began creating two magical wristwatches that could connect to the tower. After confirming they worked, he moved on to designing wireless earbuds, similar to Bluetooth—but powered by magic instead. Once completed, he needed someone to test the devices with.
So, he waited for his mother to return. He was excited to share his creation with her.
However, his mother didn't return for another two hours. In that time, Ray managed to make three more pairs of the watch and wireless earbuds. He planned to give them to his third mother, Angelina, and Aunt Mary. Then another person came to mind, and he made one more pair.
Just after he finished the final pair, he saw his mother opening the door. His excitement grew.
When she stepped inside, she immediately noticed Ray's beaming expression. Her heart lightened. After an exhausting verbal clash with the other wives and her husband, seeing her son's happy face felt like a breath of fresh air.
Ray asked excitedly, "How did it go, Mother? Everything good?"
"For now, everything is good. It went too smoothly. Hopefully nothing bad happens. Anyway, little Ray, what were you doing all this time? Were you missing your mother?" she asked with a teasing smile.
Ray nodded. "I missed you for quite a while. I wanted to give you something. It's a present. Give me your right hand and close your eyes."
Diana obeyed with a smile, closing her eyes and raising her right hand. Ray placed something on her hand and said she could open her eyes.
When she did, she saw a band-like device with digital numbers and what looked like a keypad. Confused, she asked, "What is this?"
"It's a communication device," Ray replied. "I noticed that you always have to walk or send someone just to pass a message. With this, we can talk to each other even if we're 100 kilometers apart."
Diana's eyes widened in shock.
Ray loved her reaction. He continued, "Let me show you how it works. This watch only has one contact right now—me. My number is '1.' Dial '1,' and it will ring on my watch. Then take the earbuds from the watch and place them in your ears. You'll hear me and can talk just like this."
He demonstrated the process. When she dialed, Ray's watch rang. He placed the earbuds into both their ears. When he answered, they could talk clearly.
To test it further, Diana walked far outside the Walker mansion—and it still worked. She returned, visibly impressed.
"How many do you have?" she asked.
"I've only managed to make four more. I'm planning to give them to Third Mother, Angelina, Aunt Mary, and Princess Alice."
Diana nodded. "Can you make more?"
"I can make another four," Ray replied. "This tower can only handle ten people."
He showed her the tower. She inspected it and nodded. Then she asked if he could make another tower.
Ray shook his head. "I don't have enough strength to make another."
According to the system, it is full.

[Telecommunication Device: 6/10]
A new tab had appeared in Ray's system—a sign of a new beginning. This was only the first step on his path… before he eventually builds the internet.
