"George, thank you for seeing me out!"
Walking out of the gloomy Knockturn Alley and into the bustling and prosperous Diagon Alley, Harry finally breathed a sigh of relief and immediately thanked George.
He felt that if George hadn't seen him out just now, the strange and eerie Wizards on the way might have eaten him.
"Harry! Harry!"
Just then, a small girl with thick, fluffy brown hair ran towards them from the street.
"It's so good to see you. Why are you covered in dust, and what about your glasses?"
"I'm happy to see you too, Hermione."
Harry adjusted his cracked glasses, a happy smile on his face.
"It was an accident."
"Alright, let me fix them for you first! Repairing Spell!"
Hermione pulled out her wand and cast a Repairing Spell on Harry's glasses.
As if time had reversed, the glasses, which were originally full of cracks, returned to a brand-new state in just a few seconds.
"It seems I need to practice this magic well too."
Harry looked at his new glasses and couldn't help but sigh.
He wasn't Hermione; not only had she learned all the magic in the first-year textbook, but she had also self-studied many spells. He hadn't even fully mastered those basic spells, including the Repairing Spell.
Like Harry, George had the same thought at this moment.
The Repairing Spell can not only repair small things like glasses, but if practiced well, repairing collapsed buildings is easy.
In the future, in the Marvel Main Universe, he could earn a lot of money just by relying on this magic.
"You are?"
After helping Harry fix his glasses, Hermione turned to look at George, who was standing next to Harry, a puzzled expression on her face.
"He's my new friend, George. This is Hermione Granger."
Harry quickly introduced the two of them.
George also extended his hand and smiled:
"Hello, beautiful Miss Granger."
"Hello, George."
Hearing George praise her beauty, Hermione's favorability towards George immediately shot up, and she happily extended her hand to shake George's.
Aside from her parents, it was the first time someone had praised her for being beautiful; there were many who praised her for being smart.
"Harry, since your friend is here, I should go back now. See you at Hogwarts."
After shaking hands with Hermione, George didn't linger, waved his hand, and walked into Knockturn Alley.
For the first meeting, getting to know each other was enough; there was no need for too much contact, as that would seem too intentional. Moreover, his time was precious, and he still needed to continue studying magic.
The most important thing was that he didn't intend to stop Lucius Malfoy from secretly slipping Lord Voldemort's diary to Ginny.
Lord Voldemort's diary contained Lord Voldemort's soul, which could bewitch people. Even with his mental abilities, he wasn't confident in resisting it, so he didn't plan to touch it or claim it for himself.
There was no need to try and stop it either, as with Dumbledore around, it would ultimately become a test for Harry and no young Wizard would be truly hurt.
He was also thinking of using this incident to see if he could gain some benefits.
"He seems quite nice. Why haven't I seen him at school before?"
Hermione looked at George's retreating back, a hint of confusion in her voice.
George's age didn't seem to be older than hers; he was either in the same year or one year above her. She shouldn't have not seen him.
Harry smiled upon hearing this:
"Because he's only going to Hogwarts for first year this year, of course you haven't seen him."
"So he's younger than us. How did you two meet then?"
Hermione walked with Harry towards Flourish and Blotts, asking curiously.
And Harry began to recount his recent experience.
On the other side, when George returned to the shop entrance, he unexpectedly saw a very burly figure standing and looking into his shop.
Calling him burly was actually an understatement, as his height had already exceeded the limits of normal humans.
Roughly estimating, he was probably around three and a half meters tall. If George approached him, he might not even be able to reach his waist, giving off a strong sense of oppression.
"Why is this guy at my shop entrance?"
With such a build and attire, George immediately guessed his identity.
It was Rubeus Hagrid, who possessed both Wizard and Giant blood, the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts, and a master of magical creatures.
Thinking of Hagrid's background, he couldn't help but give a big thumbs up to Hagrid's father, Mr. Hagrid; he was truly a formidable man.
It should be known that normal Giants are usually seven or eight meters tall, and Mr. Hagrid, as a male Wizard of normal height, could actually combine with a female Giant and even reproduce offspring, which one couldn't help but admire for his astonishing special talent.
"Sir, may I help you?"
George stepped forward and asked.
Hagrid turned and looked down at George, realizing it was a scrawny young Wizard, and immediately replied in a gentle tone:
"I'm looking for a Potion to get rid of carnivorous slugs. I heard only this Potion shop has it, but unfortunately, it seems to be closed."
Although his voice was gentle, due to his massive size, to George's ears, it sounded similar to a normal person shouting.
"Mr. Merton, the owner of this Potion shop, accidentally passed away while brewing a Potion a while ago. I'm in charge now. I know the Potion you're talking about and can find it for you."
George took out the key, opened the door, and quickly went to the counter to get a bottle of Potion.
Although Dora couldn't brew Potions, she was well-versed in herbology and all the Potions in the shop because she had to introduce and attract customers.
"This Expelling Potion is very effective not only against carnivorous slugs but also against cabbage caterpillars and cabbage heart worms."
"Oh, thank you, young boss."
Hagrid took the Potion with a bit of surprise, a satisfied smile immediately appearing on his face.
"How much?"
"Fourteen Sickles, please."
George smiled and held out his hand.
"It's much cheaper than I expected."
Hagrid pulled out a handful of silver Sickles from the pocket of his huge mole-skin overcoat, counted fourteen, and placed them in George's hand.
He had thought such a rare Potion would cost at least close to two Galleons.
"Because I'm going to Hogwarts soon for school, I'm in a very good mood, so I've given you half price."
George put the fourteen silver Sickles into the box on the counter, intentionally saying it happily.
Since he could communicate with animals using his mental abilities and had the potential to become a master of magical creatures, he naturally couldn't waste it.
Getting along well with Hagrid and learning more about magical creatures would be a good choice, whether for making money or raising some magical animals to increase his strength.
So, after recognizing Hagrid, he decided to befriend him.
Hagrid was enthusiastic, kind, and straightforward, without many hidden intentions, so getting along well with him wouldn't be difficult.
Indeed, upon hearing his words, Hagrid was visibly stunned for a moment, and his attitude instantly became much more friendly. He looked closely at George's face and smiled:
"So you're a new student this year. I'm Rubeus Hagrid, the Hogwarts Gamekeeper. You can come find me when you have time after school, and I'll make you rock cakes."
