Chapter 20 - Rebecca's Final Move

Rebecca's POV

I pulled the trigger.

The gunshot echoed through Chairman Crain's office like thunder.

He fell backward against his desk, blood spreading across his shirt.

But he was still breathing.

Still alive.

"You missed my heart on purpose," he gasped.

"I need you alive long enough to see what happens next," I said.

I grabbed the keys to his car from his desk.

"Where are you going?" he wheezed.

"To finish what Sarah should have done years ago," I said.

I ran out of his office and down to the parking garage.

My hands were shaking as I drove toward the hospital.

Not from fear.

From excitement.

Tonight, the Kingston bloodline would end forever.

Both twins would die.

And everyone would think their crazy grandfather killed them before shooting himself.

It was perfect.

I parked behind the hospital and walked to the service entrance.

The security guard recognized me from when I was pretending to be Dr. Wilson.

"Working late again, Doc?" he asked with a smile.
