At that time, I looked at the fist of the mech that was about to hit my face and the imaged of the tamaranean who was hurled and got crushed into the wall appeared in my mind.
Suddenly, everything around me slowed down to the point that the mech's fist was moving in slow motion.
I immediately jumped out of the way of the fist and everything around me returned to normal speed.
Because of my unexpected disappearance, the mech's fist that was meant for me ended up hitting the mech that had been chasing me.
This caused the mech that had been chasing me to stagger and fall backwards.
Not wanting to let go of the chance, I ran to the fallen mech and struck it's head 3 times consecutively with all my strength.
Doing this made it's head to open up and I saw a spherical like object in it's head which I assumed was the core that Edith was talking about.
So I pulled out the core from the mech's torn apart head and it stopped moving and it's eyes dimmed.
The mech that had punched the now non-functional mech in front of me ran towards me and punched at me.
Using my super hearing I had already noticed the mech running towards me so when it punched at me, I turned and grubbed it's large fist.
And then I used it's own momentum that it had built up running to lift it and throw it towards another mech.
The mech flew in the air and collided with the other mech.
The collusion of the 2 mechs made a loud screeching noise and produced some smoke.
Edith was surprised at my display of strength and skill because although she did did not know me well, she knew that I was considered young since I physically resembled tamaraneans.
The smoke soon disappeared and the mechs with one on top of the other tried to get up.
As soon as Edith saw this, she collected herself and rushed to remove the cores of the 2 fallen mechs trying to get up.
I was a step ahead of Edith.
I ran towards the fallen mechs and jumped high into the air then I added my flight powers to the gravity pulling me downwards to stomp on the mech on top of the other mech while falling.
Both mechs that were trying to get up from the ground were slammed back into the ground.
Edith soon arrived and started hitting the heads of the fallen mechs until they broke open then she removed their cores causing their eyes to dim.
Still standing on top of the fallen mechs, I looked around and reduction of 3 mechs had eased the pressure that the tamaraneans were facing.
Thinking back to the moment when time slowed down which I guess was my super speed powers, I invoked that feeling again and everything around me slowed down once again.
I turned my head and saw another mech, the mech's actions were in slow motion so I ran towards the mech and jumped onto it's head then I punched it and crucks started developing on it's head.
I then used my hands to tear open the mech's head and pulled out it's core causing it's eyes to start dimming while falling to the ground.
I jumped off the mech before it's body hit the ground then looked for another mech and repeated my actions.
I did this for all the other mechs until only one was remaining.
The reason as to why I did not destroy the mech was because constant using of my super speed had now left me feeling tired and anything can happen once am unable to move.
I stopped using my super speed powers and started looking around the battlefield while resting.
I was alert even as I rested.
The tamaraneans were shocked at the speed at which I was moving at because I had become a blur moving at that speed but since they were on a battlefield they did not stop fighting.
The tamaraneans shifted their attention to the gunners since only 1 mech was remaining.
A few tamaraneans stayed fighting the mech and they managed to remove it's core from it's head.
All the remaining gunners were dealt with by the tamaraneans and I had also finished resting sometime back.
Edith then approached and said "The control panel is probably in the direction from which the mechs come from."
She added "We should push forward and turn of the mechs in order to escape before we are no longer able to."
"Agreed" I responded
Then Edith ordered the tamaraneans to continue flying forward.
As we were flying, I used my super hearing with my X-ray vision to inform them of incoming enemies which were the psoniconians and their mechs.
And we would deal with them together in the shortest period of time possible.
We continued flying and we came across a door on the left side of our path.
