Chapter 16: The Light's Child, Forced to Become the Angel of Light, vs. Li Xin!
Goodness, Li Xin hadn't expected that even now, Ye Ling would still dare to tease her.
However, after being teased like that, her earlier shock completely dissipated. She silently drew a magic-grade sword, a dangerous glint flashing in her eyes, clearly intending to fight Ye Ling.
Seeing this, Ye Ling hurriedly dodged away. Over the past two years, he had experienced this many times and was already used to it.
Watching Ye Ling flee, Li Xin also quickly gave chase. She was determined to give this cheeky little brother of hers a proper lesson.
Meanwhile, Ye Hua was quietly observing the light of Ye Ling's inner spiritual power, carefully savoring it until the glow faded away without manifesting further.
It was obvious he was pondering something. After a moment, he looked at Ye Ling and quietly asked, "Ye Ling, what is your innate inner spiritual power?"
Hearing this, Li Xin immediately stopped and looked at Ye Ling with some curiosity.
Ye Ling also came to a halt and said, "It's not bad. My inner spiritual power comes with a title recognized by the Knights' Temple."
The moment Ye Ling said this, Ye Hua silently took a step back.
Based on his understanding, an innate spiritual power of sixty was already terrifying, but it carried no title. Only from seventy points onward did one receive a title.
Seventy points of innate inner spiritual power was called Angel of Light.
Eighty points was called Guardian of Light.
As for ninety points? Ye Hua did not know. In fact, within the entire Alliance, fewer than a hundred people understood that concept.
Ye Hua automatically assumed Ye Ling's talent was seventy points—an Angel of Light. This terrifying talent left Ye Hua stunned, a trace of shock flashing through his eyes.
"A seventy-point Angel of Light... as far as I know, over the past six thousand years, apart from those who died prematurely, nearly all have become ninth-tier knights, and some have even gained recognition from the Divine Thrones."
"In other words, Ye Ling, you already have the preliminary qualifications to become a Divine Knight!"
Ye Hua muttered, a flash of amazement in his eyes, finally having a concept of Ye Ling's strength.
Goodness, it was terrifying!
His talent was seven or eight times stronger than Ye Hua's. Speaking strictly of talent, even a hundred Ye Hua could not compare.
"What?" Li Xin's eyes showed confusion when she heard this. She hesitantly looked at Ye Ling, unable to believe that her own little brother possessed such frightening talent.
Was he cheating or something?
How was she supposed to compete?
"Something like that." Ye Ling nodded, without explaining further.
If he said that his current physique was actually the Light's Child, with an innate inner spiritual power of one hundred points, Li Xin and Ye Hua might explode on the spot.
After all, the concept of Light's Child was so rare and overwhelming that for the knights of this branch temple, it was better to present himself as a seventy-point Angel of Light.
"So you've increased eighty points of inner spiritual power in just one month."
Hearing this, Li Xin really didn't know what to say anymore.
Wasn't this way too much?
"Something like that. After all, I have the blessing of the God of Light, Sister Xin." Ye Ling laughed proudly, looking a little smug.
"And you dare to brag about it!" Li Xin gritted her teeth, then tightened her grip on the sword in her hand. A fighting spirit flashed in her eyes. "In that case, little brother, come spar with your sister. Let me see just how strong this so-called Angel of Light really is!"
Li Xin spoke loudly. She understood that her little brother had experienced a great opportunity and had outstanding talent. Her own talent paled in comparison, and he would only grow stronger in the future.
She wanted to defeat him now while she still could, to have at least one story to boast about later.
Otherwise, she would only be crushed in the future.
"Seriously?" Ye Ling's eyes lit up.
He also wanted to see if, with everything he had learned, he could defeat someone stronger.
A true Grand Knight might be difficult to overcome, but Li Xin was only a level or two higher than him.
Winning might not actually be that hard.
Moreover, Ye Ling had long wanted to defeat Li Xin. It wasn't something he had thought about just for a day or two.
Having crossed into this world and become Li Xin's little brother, they had sparred dozens of times over the past two years—and every time, he was brutally beaten!
Now that he finally had a chance to suppress Li Xin, how could he not seize it?
Thinking this, he stopped speaking. He instantly summoned the Angelic Holy Sword, his gaze fixed steadily on Li Xin. A slight smile appeared on his handsome face as he said, "Sister Xin, then I shall respectfully accept your challenge. Here I come!"
Seeing this, Li Xin also assumed a combat stance, faint golden light flickering around her.
Ye Hua silently backed away, giving the two space to battle.
At that moment, a side door opened, and Nalan Shu walked in, his chubby figure trembling with each step, creating quite a comical sight.
"Zombie Face, what are you guys doing? I could hear your voices from fifty meters away!" Nalan Shu asked, puzzled.
"Don't speak. Just watch closely—the battle between Li Xin and Ye Ling," Ye Hua said seriously.
"These two again? What's there to see? Xin'er is a third-tier sixth-level knight. Even though Ye Ling is close to being a full knight, the gap is still huge!" Nalan Shu clearly didn't have much faith in Ye Ling.
Ye Hua ignored him and continued watching intently. He had a feeling that the research he had been stuck on might find inspiration from this battle.
"Little brother, if you end up crying after getting beaten, don't blame your sister for being too ruthless!" Li Xin smiled playfully, then charged forward, her aura exploding out with a powerful shockwave.
"Then please show mercy, Sister Xin," Ye Ling said with a faint smile.
He raised his Angelic Holy Sword and met her charge head-on.
The two swords collided, dazzling sword light flashing, and terrifying power exploded at the point of contact. Li Xin's magic-grade sword even developed visible cracks from the overwhelming force.
The terrifying impact then surged toward Li Xin, causing her to instinctively jump back several steps, her eyes wide with shock.
"Little brother, your strength—" Li Xin exclaimed in astonishment, at a loss for words.
But Ye Ling didn't explain. He continued pressing the attack.
In a flash, he charged at Li Xin again. Seeing this, Li Xin swung her sword to meet him once more, aiming for another clash.
But Ye Ling didn't give her the chance. He instantly canceled his attack, leaped upward, and faint golden light flickered around him. He summoned his second halo.
In an instant, a pair of angelic wings spread out behind him, lifting Ye Ling into the air.
Li Xin: "???" Since when did her little brother grow wings? Was this some kind of genetic mutation?
However, Ye Ling remained silent, focusing on controlling his second spirit—Time-Space Dragon.
He activated its first skill, Time-Space Traversal, and his figure instantly disappeared.
"Where is he?" Li Xin, gripping her sword tightly, looked around in confusion.
The next moment, Ye Ling's voice came from behind her: "I'm right here, Sister Xin!"
