Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Transaction—Forging in Front of Nalan Shu!

Chapter 27: Transaction—Forging in Front of Nalan Shu!

Li Xin was stunned.

Good heavens—Spirit-Demonic grade?

Someone capable of forging at that level, even without strong personal combat ability, could still be accepted as a guest elder by the Knight Temple. In fact, they could even be appointed as the head of a Knight Division Hall!

Even without combat power, no one would dare provoke them—after all, many relied on such blacksmiths to acquire powerful gear.

A Spirit-Demonic grade blacksmith held value equivalent to a Tier-5 Earth Knight. Though people didn't usually compare the two, it was widely understood that to forge Spirit-Demonic equipment, one typically needed to be at least a Tier-5 Level-8 Earth Knight, possibly even a Radiant Knight with awakened spiritual apertures.

A few gifted individuals could awaken at Tier-5 Level-1 or 2!

But him?

Just a basic knight?

What kind of absurd situation was this?

Li Xin genuinely didn't know what to say anymore. She simply stood there silently, gripping the sword in her hand.

Getting such a weapon thrilled her, but the shock to her worldview left her speechless.

She just wanted some peace and quiet.

Why was her little brother such a genius?

Why hadn't she noticed it before?

"What's wrong, Sister Xin?"

"Are you not satisfied with it?" Ye Ling asked curiously, seeing her reaction.

"No, I'm very satisfied. You're insane, little brother. You forged a Spirit-Demonic grade weapon and just handed it to me. I really don't know how to repay you," Li Xin said helplessly.

"Sister Xin, you don't need to be so formal with me," Ye Ling said with a relaxed smile. Then, as if he remembered something, he added, "But if you really feel bad about it, offering yourself wouldn't be a bad deal. I wouldn't feel shortchanged."

Li Xin rolled her eyes at him, though she didn't blush. She knew exactly what Ye Ling meant and went along with it, saying, "Trying to buy me off with just one Spirit-Demonic weapon? That's nowhere near enough. If you ever become strong enough to forge an artifact-grade weapon, maybe I'll consider it."

Hearing that, Ye Ling's eyes lit up with a mischievous grin. "Really?"

Seeing this, Li Xin was speechless. Absurd. Did he actually want to forge an artifact-grade weapon? Was that even possible?

Still, she couldn't help worrying. Now that she had made that kind of promise, wouldn't her brother end up being stolen away by someone else?

That must never happen!

Just then, while she was still deep in thought, she suddenly remembered something. Smiling slyly, she glanced at the rare metals behind Ye Ling and asked, "By the way, little brother, what are you planning to do with all those rare metals?"

"Sell them, of course," Ye Ling replied.

"Sell them directly? Or forge them into finished products first?" Li Xin asked.

"Either way works," Ye Ling said honestly. Then he paused and asked, "Do you have a plan in mind, Sister Xin?"

"Uncle Nalan is currently in need of weapons. Selling to him would be perfect. My family also deals in weapons, so I could apply for some funds from them and sell your gear through our stores," Li Xin nodded and laid out her idea.

"Uncle Nalan, huh? And you're planning to help too, Sister Xin?"

"That sounds good. Better than randomly selling it off," Ye Ling nodded. It felt safer and more worthwhile to sell to familiar people.

When it came to the weapons and metals he forged, Ye Ling would rather keep them for himself than sell them off cheap to unfamiliar merchants.

That would be a loss!

Five days later.

In Nalan Shu's office—

By now, Ye Ling had already forged a good number of swords from his rare metals and stored them in a spatial treasure. He arrived at Nalan Shu's office with everything prepared.

Nalan Shu had been a bit stressed earlier, and usually disliked being disturbed. But since it was Ye Ling and Li Xin, he didn't mind at all.

After all, the two of them could be considered the future of the Haoyue Division Hall.

"What brings you two here?" Nalan Shu asked.

"Uncle Nalan, my little brother wants to do a bit of business with us, so we came to ask if you're interested."

"A business deal?" Uncle Nalan was puzzled. What kind of deal was Ye Ling proposing? Was he asking for investment in exchange for binding himself to the Haoyue Division Hall? If Ye Ling asked, he'd be willing to pay anything to keep him—this boy was a true genius.

But he also knew Ye Ling wasn't that kind of person, so he didn't immediately agree. Instead, he asked, "What kind of business?"

Li Xin didn't answer right away. She simply took out a sword radiating a faint rose fragrance and handed it to Uncle Nalan.

The moment he took it, Uncle Nalan could tell.

"A Spirit-Demonic sword? You brought this from your family and want to use it to do business with Ye Ling and me?" Uncle Nalan was confused.

"No," Li Xin replied slowly. "This sword is named Xinling. A top-tier Spirit-Demonic sword. It contains an active skill."

Then she added firmly, "And the one who forged it is my little brother, Ye Ling!"

"That's impossible! This is a Spirit-Demonic sword! No matter how talented Ye Ling is, no matter how powerful he might be, there's no way a twelve-year-old could forge something like this!"

"Even a magic-grade sword would be impossible!"

Uncle Nalan laughed, clearly in a better mood.

But in the next moment, he froze. Ye Ling silently took out a sword from his spatial storage.

A magic-grade sword.

One wasn't enough.

So he took out another.

Then another.

And another.

Five.

Ten.

Twenty.

Fifty.

Yes—Ye Ling placed fifty magic-grade swords directly on Uncle Nalan's desk.

But that was only the beginning.

Next, Ye Ling began pulling out Spirit-Demonic swords.

One.

Two.

Five!

Five Spirit-Demonic swords, alongside fifty magic-grade swords, were laid out before Uncle Nalan.

To be honest, in his lifetime, Uncle Nalan had seen and even handled more swords than this. But that was over years—spread out over time.

Seeing so many at once—it was overwhelming!

Truly a once-in-five-hundred-years kind of shock.

He picked up one of them to examine and confirmed it: yes, it was indeed a Spirit-Demonic grade sword!

And one of them was a premium-quality piece!

Only slightly inferior to Li Xin's, and Uncle Nalan had never seen a better Spirit-Demonic sword in his entire life.

"Ye Ling, Xin'er, tell me honestly—where did you get all these swords?" Uncle Nalan asked in a low voice.

"They're all forged by my brother, of course," Li Xin replied with a smile. "If you don't believe it, why not let him forge one for you right now?"

Uncle Nalan nodded.

Ye Ling responded by pulling the Thousand-Refined Heavy Silver Hammer from his spatial storage. Then, with a heavy crash, a forge platform appeared in the office.

"This forging station… seriously?" Uncle Nalan was dumbfounded. This wasn't some ordinary stone platform—it was crafted entirely from rare metals. Even with just a glance, he could identify at least five different kinds!

Each block was worth at least one-tenth of a magic-grade sword—ten gold coins minimum. The more precious ones? Unthinkably expensive.

Even more, the platform radiated a strange and mysterious aura that continuously surged from within.

Seeing this, Uncle Nalan was shaken. So this was what Ye Ling had used the money for?

Ye Ling didn't say much. He simply reached into his storage, pulled out a piece of heavy silver, and placed it on the platform.

Then he gripped the Thousand-Refined Heavy Silver Hammer and released strands of Sunfire from his Six-Winged Angel Martial Soul.

The flames began to burn.

And the forging began.

As the forging process unfolded, Uncle Nalan's doubts slowly melted away.
