Crowne only glanced at him. He placed the recommendation letter from Doomsty City on the table, not caring about what Dorian said. After placing it, he stepped back and sat on the chair in the room. He waited for Dorian's decision.
The atmosphere became extremely awkward. Dorian examined the letter Crowne had given him, checking its authenticity. Occasionally he glanced at Crowne, but Crowne's expression looked flat, sometimes even looking elsewhere.
Dorian let out a breath. "Alright. I will raise your rank, but the test result still shows you are at rank F. I do not know if our device is broken or something, but since I already promised, I will keep it," said Dorian.
He stood up, walked to a shelf, and took a sheet of paper. He wrote several things on it and placed it on the table.
"You will be promoted to rank C. That is the best I can do," said Dorian.
