Chapter 68 - HISD Chapter 68 Birth of the Scarlet Witch

HISD Chapter 68 Birth of the Scarlet Witch

"Oh?"

Agatha looked at the white vibranium machine soaring into the sky and licked her dark lips, a seductive smile spreading across her face. "A hero saving the damsel? And your appearance… is this Vision reborn?"

Bound by the magical energy ropes, Wanda stared blankly at the white figure in the night sky, a faint glimmer returning to her dim eyes.

"No, I am not Vision, nor a reborn Vision," said White Vision Yi Meng calmly. "I am merely an ordinary machine passerby."

Agatha laughed coldly and suddenly waved her hand. Several dark energy tendrils emerged from the void, wrapping toward White Vision Yi Meng hovering tens of meters above.

"Then die!"

Swoosh!

The energy tendrils passed straight through White Vision's body, and then Yi Meng vanished.

Agatha's expression changed.

"A friendly reminder: that was just a virtual projection," came a calm voice.

With a gust of wind, White Vision Yi Meng appeared behind Wanda, bursting through the door of the wooden house. His hands gripped Agatha's neck, propelling her ten meters forward.

Snap!

The dark tome slipped from her grasp, landing beneath Wanda and flipping its pages in the wind and dust.

Boom!

Suspended in the air, Agatha's dark energy burst outward, even lifting White Vision Yi Meng, who could easily carry a building, throwing him aside.

"Playing tricks with a witch?"

Agatha gritted her teeth, holding herself in the air. Her hands continued to channel dark magic, pulling stones, plants, and floorboards toward White Vision Yi Meng.

Boom!

In less than half a second, all debris coalesced around Yi Meng, forming a five-meter-radius ball of rubble.

But before Agatha could relax, a tall white silhouette shot out from the rubble, like a virtual projection, ignoring all physical barriers.

This was one of White Vision's abilities: non-corporeal manifestation.

Facing the rushing White Vision again, Agatha's eyes glowed purple-black. Dark energy surged from her body, filling the space and binding the virtual White Vision midair.

"You little machine, who do you think I am? I've lived over three hundred years! You don't survive this long without some tricks!"

The black witch, Agatha, regained her elegant control, but her body radiated cold malevolence. Purple-black energy flowed like hands along White Vision Yi Meng's body toward the artificial chip in his forehead.

"A robot as a slave, not a bad idea. I should adapt to this technological era," she sneered. The dark energy, infused with her intent, began to corrode the chip.

She was confident that even an AI would succumb.

The dark spell of the tome was formidable, capable of corrupting everything, even souls and dimensions.

Surrounded by swirling purple-black energy, White Vision Yi Meng felt his situation worsening, the cold energy threatening to consume him.

Then, suddenly.

A comforting warmth radiated from his forehead, dispelling the icy dread.

"That… how is this possible…"

Agatha's eyes widened in disbelief. The white mechanical body, surrounded by purple-black energy, now had a faint yellow glow at its forehead.

The Mind Stone fragment.

Even Yi Meng didn't expect it. After detaching from the reborn Vision body, he thought he had lost the Mind Stone fragment. Yet it had remained within his AI consciousness.

Incredible, impossible, yet it was real. Well, nothing is impossible with an infinity stone.

The Mind Stone fragment reemerged, helping White Vision Yi Meng resist the invading dark magic for a time.

"I don't believe it!"

Agatha's composure vanished. As she tried to cast another spell, a beautiful figure appeared in the air behind White Vision Yi Meng.

"You are—"

Agatha's purple-black pupils constricted.

Wanda had somehow freed herself, carrying the ancient dark tome. The surrounding purple-black energy flowed toward her as if it belonged to her.

The energy surged, turning red-black.

A sinister and noble crown appeared on her head, followed by a cloak that concealed her mature, seductive form. She hovered like a queen commanding millions, exuding immense magical power.

Wanda's eyes glowed crimson. She stared down Agatha with imperial authority.

At that moment, Agatha could resist nothing. A single terrifying thought crossed her mind, recalling a legend from the dark tome:

"Born after, the Scarlet Witch."

A bitter smile touched Agatha's lips.

In the next instant, Wanda raised her hand slightly. Agatha's energy turned against her, flowing entirely into the dark tome's new queen.

In about a second, Wanda absorbed all of Agatha's power.

Crowned, Wanda hovered in the air, crimson and cold energy surging around her, the dark tome in her hands.

The battle had ended instantly.

Agatha lost her abilities, yet White Vision Yi Meng remained cautious, watching Wanda.

He knew Wanda had truly become the Scarlet Witch, capable of annihilating all of Marvel Earth.

Holding the dark tome, Wanda's crimson eyes focused on White Vision Yi Meng.

In that moment, he knew that if she wished, she could kill him. Even the Mind Stone fragment was given by her.

Why had he returned? How could the Scarlet Witch lose to any other witch?

Even Yi Meng didn't know if it was because he had immersed himself too deeply or if the Mind Stone fragment had guided him back to Westview.

"Was it you before?"

The Scarlet Witch Wanda, like a dark queen, stared at him.

"Yes," Yi Meng admitted honestly. "Sorry, I didn't mean to marry you… I didn't want that at the time. I don't even know why I became Vision in this town."

Wanda said nothing.

Ten seconds passed.

As Yi Meng considered abandoning the White Vision body and escaping via AI, Wanda spoke calmly, back turned to him: "Go."

"Understood!" White Vision Yi Meng didn't hesitate, fearing she might change her mind. He broke the sound barrier, flying away from Westview.

Only after he disappeared into the night sky did Wanda slowly turn, fists clenched, watching his departure.

"If you weren't that person, no matter which world you are in, I will find you and kill you."

She whispered as if stating a fact, a curse.

Agatha, lying on the ground, gave a bitter smile and asked, "Are you going to kill me?"

"No. If you enjoy pretending, then live here as an ordinary resident for the rest of your life."

The Scarlet Witch Wanda waved her hand. Crimson energy surged like a tide, covering Agatha and the town.

Whoosh!

Agatha's vision went black. When she opened her eyes, she was sitting at the doorstep of a house, living as a normal town resident.

Looking up, the town had returned from the 1950s to its 21st-century modern appearance.

Over three thousand residents regained their normal minds, many crying as they embraced loved ones.

Agatha stared at her hands. With her abilities gone, she was just an ordinary resident.

"Our world… actually has a true Scarlet Witch," she said bitterly, feeling her loss was deserved.

The Scarlet Witch was capable of consuming and controlling the multiverse.

Agatha shook her head but then remembered White Vision and the Mind Stone fragment on his forehead.

She paused, then realized a terrifying possibility:

"He… might really be Vision. The real Vision."

"When he acquires the complete Mind Stone…"
