HISD Chapter 69 Switching Dreams: Marvel and DC
Whoosh!
A white figure streaked across the night sky like a meteor, rapidly leaving Westview, which had just been freed from magical control.
Soon, it was hundreds of kilometers away.
"That was close."
White Vision Yi Meng flew at several times the speed of sound, silently relieved that the witch had not fully succumbed to darkness.
The Scarlet Witch, at least for now, could still reason.
Of course, if Yi Meng knew Wanda's determination to hunt him down, he wouldn't have been so calm.
"Anyway, this accidental encounter in the Marvel universe dream has finally ended."
As he flew, Yi Meng began reviewing the events.
Though marrying Ms. Wanda had been extremely dangerous, there had been unexpected gains.
Yi Meng glanced down at the massive white mechanical body he controlled, shaped like a streamlined suit of armor.
White Vision had almost all the traits and abilities of the Vision who had sacrificed himself in the final battle of the Avengers.
Vibranium defense, super strength, levitation flight, energy absorption, laser attacks, virtual projection, phasing, and more.
Additionally, Yi Meng raised two fingers to the artificial chip embedded in White Vision's forehead, faint yellow light flickering.
A fragment of the Mind Stone, once possessed by Scarlet Witch Wanda.
Even a fragment brought a sense of calm and security, resisting any AI intrusion and even the previous corruption attempt from the dark witch.
Yi Meng desperately needed this type of protection, in both dream universes and the real world.
A mere fragment could do this much…
Imagine having the full Mind Stone.
Based on prior experience, enhancements from the dream manifestation could feed back into reality.
If he obtained the full power of the Mind Stone in the Marvel dream, could it even help him control the Homelander-level powers in the real world?
White Vision Yi Meng's electronic eyes glowed crimson and silver.
This was the greatest gain from his Westview encounter.
"As the hidden hand controlling global networks, I must first figure out how to acquire the full Mind Stone."
Yi Meng made up his mind.
In the Marvel dream, securing the Mind Stone had top priority.
At that moment, however…
Flying at incredible speed, Yi Meng froze. The stars above stopped moving, and his White Vision body hovered midair.
Not just him—the entire Marvel universe seemed to have stopped. Time freeze.
"Oh no! This feeling… I'm waking up, returning to the real world!"
Yi Meng realized he didn't want to wake up yet—not before mastering the Homelander powers.
But whether he entered or left a dream was beyond his control.
The Marvel universe blurred and shattered.
Yi Meng's consciousness fully exited the Marvel dream, returning to his real-world self.
Yet just before waking, another force pulled him back into the dream world!
Falling, falling, falling!
Yi Meng's eyes snapped open, rationality shaken. The sky was blood-red, and waves crashed onto the beach.
On the island, a golden-like trident lay stranded on the sand.
Whoosh!
Yi Meng's breath became twin streams of destructive energy. Looking at his raised hands, he saw massive gray-white skeletal palms, part of a three-meter-tall monstrous body, spikes jagged and imposing.
The Ancient Doomsday.
He realized that, as the Ancient Doomsday, he had returned to the previous DC dream universe.
This was the first time he hadn't awakened, consecutively experiencing two different dream universes.
"It seems my real-world self has been too heavily invaded by the dream Doomsday. Only by controlling the dream Doomsday 's power can I truly wake up."
Maintaining faint rationality, Doomsday Yi Meng thought carefully.
Fortunately, his real-world body was in a semi-Doomsday state, so he wouldn't starve despite the long dream.
Meanwhile, on the island, Atlantis's former queen, Atlanna, trembled, holding the sleeping Kryptonian infant.
Atlanna dared not breathe, terrified as she watched the spiked monster by the shore, bathed in the sunset, next to the trident of Poseidon.
Heavens!
What kind of supreme being was this?
Even Poseidon, the legendary god of the sea, had been defeated in his own domain, his divine weapon taken as a prize!
Atlanna fully believed this being could destroy the underwater empire and even all of DC Earth.
Yet it stood still, skeletal body emanating destructive energy, exhaling heat hotter than molten lava.
Suddenly, the creature turned its burning red eyes toward Atlanna and the baby.
Instinctively, she took a step back, nearly collapsing despite her queenly composure.
"No, no, no! Don't eat me! I just had a baby; I smell terrible!"
Atlanna cried desperately, her soft body trembling.
Doomsday Yi Meng was speechless—he didn't need to eat.
However, Atlanna's words reminded him.
The DC dream continued from where he had last left it, right after defeating Poseidon.
What should Doomsday do next?
Ah, the sun—sunset was near!
Glancing at the dying sun, Doomsday Yi Meng ignored Atlanna's pleas and reached a massive gray-white hand toward her still supple body.
"No!!"
Under her desperate gaze, he grasped both her and the Kryptonian infant. With his other hand, he seized the small Kryptonian ship and Poseidon's trident.
Boom!
The island shook violently, the ground collapsing beneath them.
The spiked monster leapt toward the ocean, carrying the queen, the infant, the ship, and the trident.
Clouds parted above the sparkling sea. The sunset remained beautiful, yet the atmosphere was terrifying.
Atlanna squinted against the wind. Despite her tolerance, she worried for the baby, biting her lip and reaching for one end of the trident.
Hum!
The trident pulsed with golden ripples, spreading like waves, resisting the immense force and wind.
She glanced at the spiked creature holding her. It didn't care, showing no concern that she might take the trident.
Of course.
Even Poseidon was defeated. Holding the trident was insignificant.
Fortunately, it seemed the creature had no intention of harming them.
But where was it taking them?
Atlanna lowered her gaze, watching the vast ocean below as they soared through the stormy wind.
