Kaisen, left with no choice, pulled out an Enchanting Table and enchanted the owl's box with a rising buoyancy spell, allowing the poor owl to wobble away with the gift.
Finally, there was Dumbledore's gift. He had previously bought two brand-new wool socks in the Muggle world, then enchanted them with a warming spell on the Enchanting Table, directly packaging them for the owl to deliver to Dumbledore.
A day later, Kaisen climbed out of bed and skillfully opened his gifts. For instance, Professor McGonagall gave him a Gryffindor lion brooch, as Professor McGonagall had noticed that Kaisen really liked wearing brooches.
Snape was generous, sending a small bottle of Felix Felicis. The moment he held it in his hand, Kaisen regretted it; he had never imagined Snape would give him something so valuable. In comparison, the dry hair machine seemed a bit inadequate.
The other gifts were also similar to the accessories Kaisen usually wore, but the gifts from Neville and Dumbledore were quite refreshing.
Dumbledore sent a book about Alchemy... very profound, very profound.
Neville, on the other hand, sent a dark red robe that felt as soft as water to the touch. The patterns on it flowed like lava, emitting a comfortable warmth perfect for winter.
Besides these, what made Kaisen most satisfied this Christmas was that Hagrid, after much persistence from him, finally agreed to let him renovate Hagrid's Hut.
That day, he immediately rushed out of Hogwarts Castle, and in a blink of an eye, moved Hagrid, his luggage, important items, and valuable mementos out of Hagrid's Hut.
"Hagrid, there's nothing else important to you inside this house, right?" Kaisen excitedly turned to look at Hagrid.
The latter looked at the various things piled around him and scratched his head: "Uh, no."
"What about the dragon egg?"
"It's here too."
"Then there's no problem."
The next moment, Kaisen acted with zero-frame execution, and an ender crystal swiftly flew towards Hagrid's Hut. With a bang, the hut was gone, leaving only a large pit in its place.
"Whoa, I remember you said you were going to redecorate?" Hagrid said, a bit awkwardly.
"Don't mind those details. Tell me, what kind of new house do you want?" Kaisen waved his hand and asked.
"Uh... not too big, but bigger than my previous one is fine. It needs a bedroom, a living room, and most importantly, a kitchen. It absolutely must have a kitchen. If possible, I'd also be very happy with a washroom. And most importantly, it has to be cute."
"No problem." Kaisen pulled out his wand and began to work. With each wave of his wand, the dirt beneath his feet disappeared, struck by powerful magic.
Next was the foundation. Several oak logs were deeply buried in the dirt, each retaining grooves. After the load-bearing pillars were done, he immediately used the lava-and-water method to create the foundation's frame, then began laying the floor with spruce wood planks.
After all this, Kaisen beckoned to Hagrid: "Come here, Hagrid, see what spaces you need, so I can design it for you."
"Oh haha, really? First, I want a fireplace. Can it be pink?"
"Theoretically, yes, but I won't make it for you."
"Oh, alright. Where's the door?"
"Over there." Kaisen pointed to the north-facing foundation, near the load-bearing pillar on the right.
"There will be a three-meter-high door here, so you won't have to bend down to enter anymore."
"What should be after the entrance?" Hagrid asked Kaisen.
"Uh... an entryway, where shoe racks, umbrella stands, coat racks, and such will be placed."
"Oh, can I remove it?"
"You can, but I don't recommend it; it would look very strange," Kaisen explained.
"Alright, then what after the entryway?"
Kaisen was so bewildered by Hagrid's string of questions that he started to doubt himself, answering in a strange tone: "Perhaps the living room... don't you know these basic things?"
"The Castle doesn't have those formalities, Kaisen, and I haven't been to other places either."
"Alright, an entryway and a living room, both standard, right? Does the living room need a fireplace?"
"Of course, even if it's not pink." Kaisen built a fireplace out of cobblestone on the back of the foundation, placed magma blocks beneath it, lit a fire, and then fenced it off with iron bars.
"How will I put in firewood then?"
"This fire won't go out, and there's this." Kaisen pulled out a stone button and placed it by the fireplace.
"Look at these things. Press it once, and the fire goes out. Press it again, and the fire burns again."
"How amazing," Hagrid exclaimed.
Kaisen then placed a coffee table in front of the fireplace, surrounded it with a row of sofas, and also a super-sized sofa against the fireplace, specifically for Hagrid.
The kitchen and washroom were standard after that, until they reached the stairs and Hagrid's second-floor bedroom.
...
Although MC blocks are not affected by physical rules, meaning, theoretically, placing a thin wooden board in mid-air and putting ten Hagrids on it would be no problem.
But for him, a top student in civil engineering from Manchester University, a civil engineering veteran, it was still a bit... well... illogical.
Although this logic is like Newton's coffin lid in the Minecraft World, basically non-existent, for Kaisen, who is a bit obsessive and a perfectionist, it just wouldn't sit right with him.
So, unfortunately, he didn't use floor tiles and frames for construction but directly used blocks.
This also caused a small problem, for example, the floor of Hagrid's new home on the second floor was... one meter thick.
And to balance this one meter, the first floor also needed to increase in height so it wouldn't look too out of place. Similarly, the second floor also needed to increase in height, and the attic.....
Kaisen did not build an attic for Hagrid's house; the roof was sealed off completely.
Kaisen stood in Hagrid's bedroom, thought for a moment, then broke the window and made a protruding balcony, which also served as an awning for the downstairs entrance.
Finally, he added load-bearing pillars to the awning.
"Perfect, absolutely perfect."
"Elegant, so elegant." Kaisen stood in front of the brand-new Hagrid's Hut, involuntarily stepping back a few paces, exclaiming.
Then he saw Hagrid walk in, carrying his dusty belongings.
".....It's not so elegant all of a sudden, is it?" Dumbledore appeared behind Kaisen at some point, smiling as he spoke.
Kaisen, meanwhile, shrugged: "Being happy where you live is what matters most."
