Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 Christmas Gift

Then Kaisen was forced to listen for nearly an hour as Neville recounted various embarrassing incidents from his birth until before he started school.

In a sense, this was also a mutually reinforcing cycle.

Why mutually reinforcing? Neville's aptitude was a bit slow, which caused dissatisfaction among the Longbottom family. To make Neville display his magic talent, the Longbottom family implemented various high-pressure methods.

These high-pressure methods hurt Neville's spirit, which is also a significant detriment for a Wizard performing magic against his will.

Thus, Neville and the Longbottom family members were mutually reinforcing in a sense of 'mutual harm,' causing pain to both parties.

And there was no apparent fault to be found.

The Longbottom family members wanted the Longbottom heir to display magic talent, which was not wrong.

Neville was a child, and his slow aptitude couldn't be blamed on him. In fact, Neville wasn't even necessarily slow; he just lacked confidence, and that lack of confidence was the issue.

Kaisen meticulously reviewed the entire situation and finally identified the main culprits.

Lord Voldemort and his cronies.

Yes, they were the main culprits responsible for Neville's current problems.

After understanding this point, Kaisen felt enlightened and escaped the trap of self-consumption.

Soon, dinner, prepared by the House-elf, was served. Kaisen glanced at it, once again surprised by the wealth of these old Pure-blood families.

Normally, at Hogwarts, such food was enjoyed by all faculty and staff, but today, there was no less food than Hogwarts' dinner, and it was only for the three of them.

The meal was enjoyable for both hosts and guests, but Kaisen still noticed that whenever Neville saw his grandmother, an involuntary shrinking and timidity would appear on his face.

At the dinner table, he emphasized to Augusta how Neville at Hogwarts, without the suppression of the old woman in front of him, almost killed the Malfoy heir with a wand in a glorious incident.

Of course, this had a slight artistic embellishment.

But this also let Mrs. Longbottom know that as long as she didn't suppress Neville, Neville could also be very outstanding, at least in terms of combat and Herbology.

"I will do as you say, Professor Kaisen, um... encouraging education." Mrs. Longbottom escorted Kaisen to the manor's main gate, with Neville following behind her.

The two clearly wanted to continue sending him off, to a place beyond the Apparition prohibition's reach.

"Here is fine. Actually, it doesn't have to be encouraging education; normal education is fine, as long as it's not suppressive education. As for normal education, to be honest, I think you could consult the Weasley family, of course, the Weasley family at The Burrow," Kaisen explained.

"I will find time to go to The Burrow."

"Hmm, not this Christmas. They seem to be looking for their eldest or second son."

"Professor, are you really not staying here? Even for a day?" Neville said, following behind Mrs. Longbottom.

"I'm sorry, but to be honest, I'm quite busy this Christmas. I have a lot of work to do back at Hogwarts. The fourth-year Enchanting Table thesis has also passed review, and I still need to find time to take them to receive their deserved honors."

"Also, my office renovation and expansion plans, and Christmas gifts for all of you, although already prepared, haven't been packaged, carded, or mailed yet."

"Have you prepared a lot?"

"Of course, besides yours, the Professors', and my Muggle friends. I have to go back to my previous residence after leaving school to collect their gifts. I'm literally swamped, honestly," Kaisen explained.

"Alright then."

Kaisen nodded to the two, and then with a booming sound, he vanished on the spot, leaving only faint wisps of purple light disappearing.

"...Professor Kaisen can bypass the Apparition prohibition? And that wasn't Portkey magic?" Mrs. Longbottom murmured in surprise.

"I'm not surprised by anything Professor Kaisen does. Before, he even knocked Quirrell into the Medical Wing with one move."

"Quirinus Quirrell? That Dark Arts expert?" Mrs. Longbottom unusually called him an expert.

"Is he very good? Quirrell?"

"Very skilled. Among the younger generation, at least stronger than those Aurors." Mrs. Longbottom hugged Neville and returned inside the manor.

And returning to his house at 222 Baker Street, London, he smiled helplessly at the stack of greeting cards in his mailbox.

Soon, he retrieved a large pile of his Christmas gifts from the post office.

And conveniently returned gifts to them one by one.

"Let me see, Mrs. Martha's, why did she send me... oh, so pink."

"John Watson sent a bag of peanuts. Good thing I sent him peanuts too."

"Sherlock's signed trench coat, that guy is still so narcissistic." Kaisen found a sewing kit in the room, took a small piece of cloth, and covered Sherlock's initials.

Then he embroidered his own name on the left lapel.

Hmm, he was still so skillful.

Kaisen, in his new trench coat, preened in front of the changing mirror, looking left and right, and also glanced towards his neighbor's house. Hmm, no one.

Those two guys were always so busy.

After replenishing the gifts for his Muggle world friends, Kaisen instantly returned to the Hogwarts alchemy office.

He put all the gifts he had prepared in advance into an Ender Chest.

And he only carried a small Ender Chest ring as he walked towards the Hogwarts Owlery.

Unfortunately, in the days leading up to Christmas, the owls already had almost no rest.

And Kaisen's arrival only intensified this harsh situation.

"Flying broom protection set for Harry... this can be sent directly to his dormitory, hmm..."

"Neville's memory bracelet."

"Ron's new robes, are the Weasley family so poor they can't even buy new robes?"

"Hermione's Alchemy primer, if she chooses my class in third year, I must make her the class representative..."

"Angelina's flying broom cushion..."

"Professor McGonagall's Enchanted Quill, she'll like this..."

"Severus, are Slytherins afraid of water? Doesn't want to wash his hair, good thing he has a friend like me... hair dry cleaner, I'm a genius!"

"Hagrid's golden beer mug, he always complains that the mug is too light, no feel... I hope he won't dislike my gift for lacking ingenuity... Can't you fly?" Kaisen said after packaging Hagrid's gift and handing it to an owl, and the poor owl flapped for a long time with the gift without being able to fly up.
