Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 Home Visit

Kaisen stepped down from the platform and approached Quirrell, who was lying on the ground. He only withdrew his gaze after confirming that the old fellow would likely be confined to the Medical Wing for one to two weeks this time.

As for the vacant Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, he believed someone would be very happy to take over.

Back in his office, Kaisen, uncharacteristically, took out a bottle of champagne from the cupboard and walked towards Hagrid's hut.

The next day...

Hagrid left his hut early with a handful of red ribbons, as Christmas was approaching. Although he didn't know why Wizards celebrated this holiday,

Christmas trees were still needed. For the pine trees in the Forbidden Forest, the red ribbons in Hagrid's hand were like the King of Hell marking his targets.

Those tied with ribbons today would basically not live to see next year.

How tragic it was!

Unlike Hagrid, Kaisen had no classes today and could leisurely return to the Castle, to his office, greeting all the Little Wizards he met along the way.

Then he returned to his office, took out the Little Wizards' roll call and parchment, and prepared gifts one by one. Once everything was ready, all that was left was to wait.

Wait for Christmas.

.....

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!!!

Kaisen stood at Hogsmeade Station. It was his first time seeing the Hogwarts Express, and he was also curious about this artistic performance of cosplaying a Muggle train.

After all, a magic-driven train, theoretically speaking, shouldn't need to emit smoke.

He took the ticket Dumbledore gave him and boarded the train.

After all, according to the old man, almost every Little Wizards had ridden the Hogwarts Express since its invention, and Kaisen had missed out on this experience because he hadn't attended Hogwarts.

So Dumbledore had specially saved a ticket for him, allowing him to experience that feeling.

Of course, his reason for boarding the train wasn't entirely for the experience. After all, his belongings from the Muggle world had already been packed up and sent to Hogwarts, and he planned to spend the Christmas holiday directly at Hogwarts.

This trip out of school was mainly for home visits, and also to return gifts to his Muggle friends.

Because of Neville's personality, Kaisen believed it was due to his grandmother's overly strong personality. He had wanted to write to Neville's grandmother before, but he had always been busy, and he never knew how to write once he picked up a pen.

In comparison, he preferred to sit face-to-face, with a cup of hot tea and not-too-sweet but fragrant small pastries in front of them, wildly showcasing the charm of language.

Based on this, the home visit to the Longbottom family came into being.

However, he did not sit in the same compartment as Neville, even though there were empty seats because Harry and Ron were staying at Hogwarts for Christmas.

After all, as a Professor, sitting with Neville would always make him uncomfortable.

After all, a home visit itself was already very... very presumptuous.

Time passed until the train stopped at a station in the Muggle world, the 9 3/4 Platform at King's Cross Station. After Kaisen got off the train, he quickly saw the highly recognizable Witch Professor McGonagall had mentioned.

She was an elderly woman wearing an incredibly elaborate Witch's robe and a wide, brownish-green Witch's hat, with a stern expression. In short, she seemed to have a very good relationship with Professor McGonagall.

Aside from their clothing styles, as this old woman preferred elaborate attire while Professor McGonagall preferred a more understated look.

However, their temperaments were strikingly similar.

"Professor Hiss, I am Augusta Longbottom, Neville's grandmother. He has written me a whole box of letters, all about you, thanking you for taking care of this poor child."

Augusta also noticed Kaisen's figure, which stood out among the Little Wizards, and walked over to speak.

"Kaisen Heath, just call me Kaisen, Mrs. Longbottom. My main reason for coming this time is about Neville's personality."

"Did that child cause you trouble?"

"No, no, no." Kaisen quickly waved his hand: "No trouble, absolutely not. In fact, that child is overly obedient, overly honest, so honest that he doesn't seem like a Gryffindor."

"I see... This child's personality has always been like this, too... too timid. I always thought he was a Hufflepuff." Augusta agreed.

Kaisen nodded, just about to say something, when he heard a pattering of footsteps. Neville came running from a distance.

"Grandma, Professor Kaisen!"

"Would you mind joining the Longbottom family for a casual meal?" Augusta asked.

"Of course, just a casual meal."

Augusta held Neville's small hand with her left hand and placed her right hand on Kaisen's shoulder. The next moment, the three appeared on a small island.

Kaisen looked at the ancient and magnificent manor not far away.

"If I were to decorate this..."

Immediately, Kaisen quickly banished this inappropriate thought from his mind.

There were only two people in Longbottom Manor now, plus Kaisen, an outsider.

Of course, Kaisen wasn't sure how many members the Longbottom family currently had, and there was no need to ask.

He was there for a home visit, not to check household registration.

At least for today, the vast manor indeed only had the three of them, if one ignored the House-elves hidden in various corners.

This also gave Kaisen a more accurate assessment of Mrs. Longbottom's assertiveness.

Possessing such a vast manor, how could she not be assertive? If she wasn't assertive, she would have long been completely taken advantage of by distant relatives who appeared from who knows where.

After all, the Wizarding World supposedly had a Ministry of Magic, but their efficiency was actually just so-so. They were spot-on in catching those performing Magic, cooking, or decorating in the Muggle world.

However, those committing murder, arson, and all sorts of evil in the Wizarding World were like corpses, playing dead.

The three first sat down in the living room, or rather, not really three, because when Neville wanted to listen in, Augusta just gave him a look, and he obediently returned to his own bedroom.

"Please speak, Professor Hiss."

"What you just did is what I want to talk about, Mrs. Longbottom. This child has been so overwhelmed by your strong pressure that he can't breathe. There are also other problems. As a Gryffindor, he has lost his courage because of your pressure."

Kaisen brought out the mindset and eloquence he had when negotiating with those difficult clients when he first started in the decoration industry, prepared to use his tongue until his last drop of saliva.

Unexpectedly, Augusta did not, like those 'wise' clients, rush to refute how good her educational approach was, but instead nodded helplessly.

"I know all this, but, frankly, I'm not belittling Neville, but he really can't do anything right."
