After sending the four Little Wizards away, Kaisen felt light and unburdened; from then on, at least temporarily, his only task was to take the fourth-year Little Wizards to receive their awards.
Time quickly flew to this weekend. When he woke up in the morning, he noticed a set of keys by his bed, along with a letter from the European Alchemical Exchange Association.
The language of this letter was more intimate than the last, which showed that the bigwigs of the Exchange Association were quite fond of Kaisen, who scattered papers like he was scattering money.
By evening, Kaisen once again had the Little Wizards stand in a row before him, and he personally inspected their appearance and demeanor.
Soon, Kaisen arrived at the Ministry of Magic's banquet hall again. He first surveyed the reporters present. Good, Rita Skeeter was not there.
Or rather, ever since she was hit by his 'box', the only time she appeared in public was a brief statement in The Daily Prophet.
It said she had taken an indefinite leave of absence.
"That's truly great... I really don't like her, truly," Kaisen said to Ollivander, leaning against a massive Roman column.
Well, as the controller of the only wand-making family in England, it would be strange if he weren't here.
"Indeed. Oh, by the way, besides this award ceremony, there's also your conferment ceremony today. We all tacitly agreed not to tell you; it's a surprise," Ollivander said with a smile.
"Does this mean I can add another title?"
"No, two more. One is the Hermes Medal recipient. You know Hermes, right? Legend says he was the founder of Alchemy, the pinnacle of honor in the Alchemy world. The other is a merlin medal, but I didn't ask for details. After all, ever since a certain Black exchanged money for a first-class medal, the value of the merlin medal has plummeted.
"Some people even consider it a disgrace to receive a merlin medal. Of course, this isn't entirely Black's fault; a larger part should be blamed on the Ministry of Magic," Ollivander slowly explained the whole story to Kaisen.
"Understood, understood..."
Soon, with a brief and concise award ceremony concluded, Kaisen was pushed by Ollivander onto the high platform.
"You know, I'm not good with words."
"Then don't speak... Few Alchemists are good at speaking."
...That's true..."
The next morning, Kaisen wore the dark red Wizard's robe Neville had given him. The robe was light and soft, feeling as if he wasn't wearing anything... Of course... that was the feeling.
Not the appearance.
On his chest, he wore the Hermes Medal. It had no fixed color; instead, at first glance, it looked like slowly flowing mercury, shimmering with a subtle glow.
Fixed brooch + 1
He strutted out of the office, heading towards the classroom.
Today's class was for third-years. He had already taught them the basics of Alchemy, and it was time to give them a small project, such as how to use basic Alchemy to create a Totem of Undying.
Of course, he wasn't that perverted; it was just a hyperbolic way of speaking.
In the classroom.
Kaisen stood on the podium: "Now, you have understood the basic rules of Alchemy, so I have found a short project for you. Don't worry, this project is very simple."
With that, Kaisen clapped his hands, and a glowing blue cube suddenly appeared on the podium. Below it was an obsidian base, the center was a vibrant blue glowing body, and the outside was encased in a layer of crystal.
"Let me show you the magic of this big guy." He waved his hand at the Little Wizards, and the students below immediately understood, hugging their desks and kicking their chairs, moving to the edge of the classroom.
Kaisen also produced an iron block in his hand, and soon a small iron pyramid appeared in the center of the classroom. He placed the Beacon on it and then took out an emerald, pushing it in.
In an instant, the Beacon released a milky white beam of light.
"Do you feel any power?"
The Little Wizards were all confused, which made Kaisen awkwardly rub his chin.
"You can try jumping."
No sooner said than done, for example, the Weasley Twins. They squatted down, jumped vigorously, and then their heads made intimate contact with the ceiling.
Wait, where did I put that picture?
Oh, found it, it's this. ↓
"Hmm, thanks to Mr. Weasley for his demonstration. So, this thing, I've named it the Beacon. It can provide buffs to people within a certain range, such as making you jump higher and run faster."
"Of course, there are other, more powerful effects, such as faster recovery of your magic, making your spells stronger, and making your life more resilient."
After Kaisen finished speaking, one of the Weasley Twins raised his hand.
"Please speak."
"Then Professor, why doesn't it change to a different buff effect?"
"Because that requires more precious bases, such as gold blocks, diamond blocks, emerald blocks, alloy blocks, and so on, but I must consider Hogwarts' load-bearing capacity..."
"You might very much hope that my Alchemy creation falls from here and smashes Professor Snape, who is having class downstairs, to death."
"Hahahahaha!!!"
The classroom was instantly filled with a joyful atmosphere.
"But I don't think it's necessary. Although old Snape always wears a grim face, he truly doesn't deserve to die."
"Oh..."
This was a strange sound of disappointment...
Hmm... with the Weasley Twins' disappointment being the loudest.
"I'll first explain the structure of this object... You will use the remaining half of the semester to write me a thesis on its principles. As for the thesis grade, I will directly add it to your final grades."
"Of course, this thing is very complex, and I don't expect you to fully understand it in half a semester. As long as your final thesis has substance, I will give you points."
"Finally, plagiarism is forbidden. Believe me, I will carefully check all theses. Of course, if you are of one mind, like the Weasley Twins for example..."
"I will call you to my office and have you explain your argumentative Ideas to me properly."
"Now close your textbooks, and come closer. I will show you the internal structure of this Beacon in detail," Kaisen said, suddenly pulling out a manuscript.
"Wait, Professor, isn't that too violent?" one of the Little Wizards asked.
"Violent? Not really."
Clang!
