Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 Poor Professor Kaisen

Kaisen and the Little Wizards left the Alchemy classroom looking disheveled. Although the process was a bit convoluted, at least they all saw the Nether Star inside the Beacon.

Before leaving the classroom, he also gave each of the Little Wizards a small Beacon. He had enchanted them so they would only work when used by themselves; if given to others, the Beacon would petrify, turning into a useless stone.

This could be considered a small gift for them, something they could use as a small amulet to enhance themselves.

In the evening, Kaisen, now clean, arrived at the Great Hall. Seeing Quirrell's seat still empty, he let out a contented hum.

Hum~ [Villager's voice]

After dinner, Kaisen did not immediately return to his office. Instead, under Hagrid's shifty gaze and what Hagrid thought was careful, but was actually very obvious, movements, Kaisen decisively followed him.

"I bet you found some good wine," Kaisen said.

"It's not good wine, but something even better than good wine... You'll know when we get there."

Arriving at the brand new Hagrid's Hut, it had become very... lively under Hagrid's re-decoration.

Although it didn't quite match the hut's original style, how did that saying go? Happiness is most important.

After the two entered the hut, they sat down on the sofa by the fireplace. Only then did Kaisen realize why Hagrid had invited him.

"Is your Dragon Egg almost ready to hatch? Forgive me, I know nothing about magical creatures."

"Pretty much. This is my first time witnessing the birth of such a beautiful little life..."

Hagrid was about to say something else when he was interrupted by an ill-timed knock on the door.

After opening the door, as Hagrid expected, it was the familiar four people.

"Hello, Hagrid."

"Hmm, hello everyone, but I must say in advance, I hope you aren't here today to convince me that Quirrell is a Dark Wizard," Hagrid said as he welcomed the Little Wizards inside.

"No, no, we're here to apologize for my shouting last time," Harry said, a bit embarrassed.

"You really don't have to. Honestly, if you hadn't reminded me, I would have forgotten. It's no big deal anyway," Hagrid waved his hand.

When they arrived in the living room, they sat on the small sofas around the fireplace. Then they noticed there was someone else sitting there.

"Hello there. I was wondering how long it would take you to notice someone sitting here... But not bad, you're pretty quick to react," Kaisen said with a smile.

"It must be the strong contrast between your clothes and the sofa."

Ron grumbled.

"Can't help it. Hagrid loves pink sofas."

"Pfft!"

"Don't laugh. There's nothing embarrassing about it."

"Oh, yes, yes, we're not laughing."

"We're just thinking of happy things."

"What happy things?" Hagrid asked.

"Once upon a time, there was a Giant, and then he... Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!"

Kaisen and Hagrid exchanged glances, both seeing helplessness in the other's eyes.

After the four little ones finished laughing, Hagrid brought out a plate of rock cakes from the kitchen. Kaisen picked up a piece, then picked up the milk warming by the fireplace, violently broke the rock cake into pieces, and threw them into the hot milk.

This was a way of eating he had discovered. rock cakes soaked in milk were, to be honest, surprisingly delicious.

After all, Hagrid's biscuits, apart from being a bit overbaked, had no other flaws, and he was generous with the ingredients.

The four little ones watched Kaisen eat like this, picked up a cup of milk to place by the fireplace, and then, and then....

"Is this a Dragon Egg?" Ron asked, looking stunned.

"Oh... yes, keep it a secret for me. It's a secret, a secret among the six of us," Hagrid said with a smile.

"Of course, of course, we'll keep it a secret," Harry, Neville, and Ron all nodded in agreement.

However, Hermione remained rational: "But Hagrid, where are you going to keep this Dragon? I think I've read in books that a three-month-old Dragon can use elephants as snacks."

Suddenly, the air in the entire hut became quiet.

Hermione then looked at Professor Kaisen, as in her eyes, Professor Kaisen was the most serious and reliable person in the room.

Then Kaisen looked at everyone blankly: "Why are you all looking at me? I've never seen a Dragon before. I thought the biggest they got was elephant-sized... or like Cerberus..."

Hermione rolled her eyes helplessly.

"Oh my God..."

"Perhaps it can be kept in the Forbidden Forest?" Mr. Hagrid mumbled.

"Of course, if you're not afraid of this Dragon eating all life in the Forbidden Forest to extinction. Once it does that, it'll soon extend its claws towards Hogwarts," Hermione retorted.

"That won't work either... Kaisen, is there any spell that can make him smaller?"

"Dragons' magic resistance can perfectly defend against even curses, otherwise, they wouldn't be made into Dragonhide gloves."

Hermione's triple kill almost made Hagrid shed tears.

"Never mind, Hagrid, even if you can't own a Dragon forever, at least this Dragon is about to hatch. You've witnessed the birth of such a life, and your life and the Dragon's life have intertwined at this moment. Even if you separate in the future, at least you've experienced it, which is much luckier than most people."

Kaisen patted Hagrid's shoulder, comforting him.

And just like that, it was better not to comfort him. With the comfort, Hagrid's tears completely fell.

A half-Giant hugged Kaisen, burying his head, larger than Kaisen's chest, into his chest and crying.

"Neville... I can only say, luckily I'm not wearing your robes today."

Neville looked at Kaisen's expression of utter despair, then at the continuously crying Hagrid, and nodded in deep agreement.

Clatter!

"Someone's outside!" Harry suddenly became alert.

"It's not past curfew yet," Kaisen said helplessly.

"I'll open the door and see," Hagrid stood up, wiping his tears, leaving a certain disheveled person behind.

Not long after, another Little Wizards was brought in by Hagrid. It was fine when he wasn't brought in, but once he was, the entire living room almost exploded!

"Draco Malfoy!"

Malfoy curled his lip, crossed his arms, and snorted: "Is there a problem? Is this some forbidden area?"

As he spoke, he looked at the few people in the room.

He looked at Hagrid, the big Giant.

He looked at Harry, the confused one.

He looked at Neville, an idiot not much better than a Squib, although he had accidentally lost by one move before, but that was just because he was careless and didn't dodge.

He looked at Ron, the pauper.

He looked at Hermione... Ugh... too lazy to look.

He looked at Professor Kaisen...

Draco looked at Kaisen, especially at his tear-stained Wizard robe, and a hint of pity appeared in his eyes.

Poor Professor Kaisen.
