Kayson quickly returned to the ground, out of sight of the two people who had emerged. After exchanging a glance with Grindelwald, they instinctively found a place to hide.
"Do you believe me now, you jinx?" Grindelwald held his wand, the green magic of Avada Kedavra already accumulating at its tip. He used magic to condense his voice into a thread, transmitting it into Kayson's ear.
Kayson, however, couldn't perform Grindelwald's trick and could only spread his hands and shrug.
Soon, the two figures who had emerged went back inside. The two exchanged another glance, and Kayson stealthily moved behind the larger tree Grindelwald was leaning against.
"They're Wizards. Any ideas? Should we just barge in and kill them?" Grindelwald whispered.
"We're civilized people, how can we be so barbaric...? Let's steal first. If they don't use Avada, we won't use Wither Skeleton Head or Fiendfyre," Kayson said in a low voice.
"I see them treating this big tree as their home. How are you going to steal from it?" Grindelwald asked.
"Just cut down two saplings. You can use a Cutting Charm and Accio to get them for me, and then we'll leave."
Grindelwald shook his head: "I just noticed that this tree has a warning magic cast on it. Any magic contact will be detected. It would be better if you just went in and cut two down yourself."
"And if I cut them, it won't be detected?"
"It's different. The detection magic will only sense you the moment you go in to cut. But if I use magic, from the moment the spell enters the detection range until the sapling is cut down and I use Accio to pull it over, it would take at least two seconds," Grindelwald explained.
"...Alright." Kayson grabbed a ball of invisibility magic and slapped it onto himself. Then Grindelwald watched as a delicate diamond sword suddenly appeared at the top of the Supreme Wood, swiftly cutting down a large pile of branches with a few slashes.
As expected, the treehouse's detection magic was triggered. A group of Wizards, dressed in grass skirts and looking even more primitive than actual primitives, rushed out, shouting. Multicolored spells instantly flew towards the diamond sword and the bundle of branches in the sky.
Kayson, flying in mid-air, quickly used Ender Teleportation, leaving this troublesome place. The Wizard tribe in this Amazon Rainforest didn't have the spatial confinement Alchemy devices of the previous Africa Wizard tribe.
Last time, Kayson could escape, but Grindelwald couldn't, so he naturally couldn't abandon his teammate. But this time was different.
Grindelwald could leave whenever he wanted, no longer needing to wait for him like in Africa.
As Kayson left, Grindelwald, hiding behind the tree, gritted his teeth in frustration...
If he didn't say anything, Kayson really wouldn't notice, would he?
Couldn't he sense the detection magic, or the spatial confinement magic?
Did he just leave him here like this?
Just as Grindelwald was bewildered, a red spell hit the large tree he was leaning against. Grindelwald frowned, as if deep in thought, but soon his brows relaxed, and he let out a helpless laugh.
"Still getting old, huh."
With that, he pulled out his wand.
Meanwhile, back at the hotel room, Grindelwald arrived half an hour later, Apparating back.
...
...
The two looked at each other in silence...
"Did I... accidentally leave you there?"
Grindelwald nodded.
"Do you need my apology?"
"What do you think? Never mind, it's been a while since I stretched my muscles."
"How many died?"
"This time I used the Cruciatus Curse," Grindelwald explained.
"Oh? Going soft?" Kayson said in surprise.
"Sometimes you really don't know how to talk. Now that you've got the Supreme Wood and the magic Flower, it's time to go back. My old bones can't keep up with your antics anymore," Grindelwald sighed.
"It's simple, I'll just put you in the ring," Kayson said subconsciously.
Grindelwald looked at Kayson with a bewildered expression.
"The other side of this ring is my office. In other words, this ring is a miniature portal, and the other end of the portal is my office," Kayson explained.
"....How am I supposed to go in?"
"Gellert Grindelwald."
Kayson called out.
"Hmm?" The moment Grindelwald responded, the ring in Kayson's hand suddenly emitted a soft glow that shone on Grindelwald, almost instantly sucking him in.
"Hmm... good stuff, I'm really awesome."
Kayson said, then used Ender Teleportation to return to his office. He and Grindelwald arrived almost at the same time.
"I'm starting to not recognize the Alchemy of this world anymore," Grindelwald said, dragging a boat from the corner and placing it on the ice path, driving it towards the office door.
"Come visit often, okay?" Kayson waved to Grindelwald.
"Perhaps."
Grindelwald, who was driving the boat, extended his hand and waved.
"Hmm..."
Kayson drew a spot in the work area that would receive long periods of sunlight. He opened a small garden there using grass blocks, scattered the magic Flower seeds on the ground, watered them once, and then planted the Supreme Wood saplings.
He deeply inserted the saplings into the soil, spacing them out, then watered them again, and finally sprinkled bone meal evenly.
Almost instantly, the Supreme Wood matured, but...
Sirius, who discovered the sudden appearance of a small garden in the corner, was excitedly like he had found a new territory. Then he saw... a tree....
A... square tree.
Kayson also looked back at Sirius, shrugging to indicate that the plants in this small garden were useful and that he should leave quickly.
As Sirius left, Kayson breathed a sigh of relief.
"This dog really understands people."
A diamond axe appeared in Kayson's hand. After cutting it down in a few swings, the saplings in his hand, plus the ones he had cut from the Amazon Rainforest earlier, amounted to 32, which was half a stack.
"Still need to expand," Kayson said, pulling out grass blocks. He dug holes in most of the office, filled them with dirt, several...
He planted magic Flowers and Supreme Woods. As for the Little Wizardss and Professors who would visit later and ask why the trees here were square...
They knew nothing about Alchemy!
The next day...
Kayson placed a brand new table beside his desk, feeling completely secure.
"Runic Research Table, acquired!"
