Lupin quickly used magic to block the stream of light.
Kayson walked over and picked up a small iron piece the size of a fingernail, and through his monocle, he could still see the weapon attributes on it.
"Using this method to negate the damage Expelliarmus deals to Harry while also surprising the enemy? An excellent idea." Dumbledore appeared before them like a ghost and commented.
"...Next time I should bring my charged ender pearl too," Kayson sighed and grumbled.
"That would make me sad," Dumbledore walked over and looked at the small iron piece, "Will this little thing ever run out?"
Kayson shook his head, "No, I've built a replicator into Harry's wrist... The only downside is that Harry will have a lot of trouble with security checks in the future."
"I can Apparate... I should be able to, right?" Harry said halfway through, then added, not trusting himself.
"That won't affect it."
Upon hearing the answer, Harry visibly breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good."
Harry and Sirius were here studying the awesome hidden blade, while Lupin and Dumbledore discussed serious matters.
"Is the matter resolved?"
Dumbledore nodded, "It's resolved, but because of the series of chain reactions caused by your unauthorized entry and exit, the Ministry of Magic has canceled your 300 Galleon daily funding.
After all, if they didn't, you'd have to pick up trash with forks in Diagon Alley when it's most crowded, and you wouldn't be allowed to use magic."
"Oh... Our trip to Europe is ruined now.
Next, we might have to go directly to Romania," Kayson said dejectedly.
"Try to be happier; at least there's still the Quidditch World Cup this holiday, so it won't be that boring," Dumbledore comforted him.
"The appeal of sports events to me was limited to my elementary school days because the nuns at the orphanage would give us pocket money then," Kayson grumbled.
"I'm sorry to hear that," Dumbledore said before walking towards Harry, as he also wanted to see what the cool hidden blade looked like.
Kayson, however, pulled Dumbledore back and then took out the trident he had automatically picked up from the sea earlier.
"I remind you again, as a qualified Professor, you also need to respect your elders..." Dumbledore rambled on.
Kayson ignored Dumbledore's repetitive words and instead affectionately put his arm around Dumbledore's shoulder, "Principal, how about you use a Protego for us to broaden our horizons?"
Although Dumbledore didn't know what Kayson was up to this time, he still nodded, waved his wand, and an invisible membrane of air enveloped his body.
Protego also has levels; most ordinary people's Protego merely roughly covers their entire body with magic, perhaps deflecting a few spells, while more powerful Wizards cast it as if they are truly wearing a layer of armor.
Dumbledore's was even more exaggerated; his Protego was like the deep sea, seemingly capable of swallowing all spells.
Kayson carefully held the trident and lightly touched Dumbledore's Protego.
The next moment, this Protego... shattered....
"Hmm?"
"Hmm?"
Both of them simultaneously made sounds of confusion.
"You're not messing with me, are you?" Kayson asked.
"Of course, I'm not that bored," Dumbledore shook his head.
"Oh my goodness... The magic on this trident... is really a bit strong," Kayson murmured, looking at the trident in his hand.
This trident was very interesting; he had noticed its extraordinary nature from the first time he used it, instantly pulverizing the entire upper body of that drowned man.
The trident seen through the monocle was essentially just ordinary steel; what was truly powerful was the strange magic on it.
Unfortunately, the underlying code of that magic was not like Runes, and with the power of the monocle, he could only barely make out one word.
[Destruction]
The rest were various miscellaneous enchantments on it, which he could understand; they were just ordinary protective magic, preventing the trident from corroding in seawater, and not very useful.
Currently, only that ancient destruction magic was useful to him.
After all, his current strength was in a slightly awkward position; to put it nicely, he was not as good as the best but better than the rest.
He couldn't defeat Dumbledore, but he could defeat ordinary Wizards.
But to put it bluntly, he was neither strong enough nor weak enough; the chaos he could cause was significant, but the actual destructive power... was just so-so.
After all, no matter how powerful the Wither Skeleton Head, how complex the compound magic, or how Weird the ender pearl cutting, when he encountered the Wild Chimera, didn't he also just scratch it obediently?
When it came to single-target damage, it really wasn't as effective as a simple Avada Kedavra.
And this miraculous magic that penetrated Dumbledore's level of Protego like cutting through tofu, if he could make it his enchanting magic, it could truly be said to be his best upgrade material right now.
After all, a fully offensive magic only deals 20 damage, just enough to kill a healthy person, but it only needs to be blocked by something like Protego to avoid most of the damage.
Wither Skeleton Head and compound magic are also like that; they have impressive records, but they all rely on an information gap.
What he lacked now was a high-damage, preferably defense-ignoring, high-damage method, and this suspected ancient destruction magic just gave him a direction.
His main attribute was MC, his main profession was Civil Engineering Architect, his Secondary occupation was PVP overlord, and only then came Professor, Alchemist, Wizard.
He naturally couldn't trap himself in a corner with a Wizard's mindset.
After all, for a block person, even the single-target damage caused by super-tier magic is definitely not as abstract as the Sword of Universal Dominion, and what he should do now is to have another thrilling Alchemy ascension like Harry!
"It's time to give those old guys some physical attack numerical shock!"
"Kayson... Kayson? Your smile is so strange," Lupin patted Kayson's shoulder and asked with some concern.
"Hmm... Oh, nothing," Kayson, holding the trident and imagining the future, wiped away the tears flowing from the corners of his mouth and shook his head, saying, "I just thought of something happy."
"Oh... That line again," Dumbledore grumbled.
