"Are you doing construction?" Krum asked.
"Something like that. Still, thank you. It's a pity we're not from the same school, or I could have given you extra credit," Kayson said, while the mechanical arms behind him were also busy. If one drive shaft wasn't strong enough, then he would just add a few more; that would surely work.
On the other side, Krum looked at the person in front of him who showed no excitement at all about meeting his idol, only a passion for construction and a body full of mechanical arms... and a hint of subtle awkwardness...
Eh? It seems I overlooked something... Mechanical arms?
Krum looked at the dozen or so mechanical arms wildly waving behind Kayson, and subconsciously blinked. He thought he might be seeing things.
Soon, he reopened his eyes. Hmm, it was much more normal this time. There weren't a dozen mechanical arms... there were clearly only ten.
But even so, it was still incredibly bizarre!
Krum glanced at the wildly flailing mechanical arms behind Kayson, then looked at Kayson, who still had an awkward smile. He just felt that he might have been wrong.
After all, logically speaking, Alchemy, a pure science, shouldn't have much interest in a sport like Quidditch, since not everyone can excel in both like him.
However, his straightforward jock personality still made him ask directly, "Are you my fan?"
Kayson awkwardly rubbed his nose: "Uh, yes, yes, that's right, Viktor Krum, the best Seeker in Italy. How could I not be your fan?"
"I'm from the Bulgarian team... and I'm of German descent." This time, it was Krum's turn to awkwardly rub his nose.
"Oh... oh, sorry, I'm not that curious about public figures' private lives," Kayson replied with high emotional intelligence.
Krum nodded. That statement, of course, made one feel as if bathed in a spring breeze, as entertaining an overly enthusiastic fan was indeed a very strenuous task...
Well, it had nothing to do with being strenuous. It was purely that he finally realized that Kayson wasn't his fan at all. From the very beginning until now, everything had just been his own wishful thinking.
In short, a bright red nose clip was clamped onto his nose.
As for the Alchemy Professor's passionate speech in front of the camera, it was most likely just to put on a show for everyone.
"Um... farewell," Krum said awkwardly.
"Farewell," Kayson said as if relieved.
Krum, leaving with his head down, felt a deep sense of defeat. He was originally a very aloof person, and today, for once, he had taken the initiative, only to lose so completely.....
Kayson, on the other hand, scratched his head and shrugged, continuing his great construction project.
In the evening, the entire Great Hall was filled with people. Little Wizardss from the four houses and two schools, along with almost all the adult Wizards, were all feasting in the Great Hall.
"Where did Kayson go today? You know, usually when he has nothing to do, he's the most enthusiastic about eating," Dumbledore asked.
"You also said, 'when he has nothing to do,'" Snape replied.
"Does he have something to do today?" Dumbledore asked.
The next moment, a terrifying tremor occurred throughout the Great Hall. Dumbledore frowned, then he looked through the glass at the edge of the Great Hall and saw a moving base of a tall tower.
"Hiss... Professor McGonagall, look, isn't that the base of the Gryffindor Tower?" he asked.
Professor McGonagall on the other side also took a look, and instantly, like the protagonist in 'The Scream' painting, she put both hands to her face and shouted, "Kayson! What has he done!"
And the others obviously also saw through the window that thing moving its position in the sky, as if it was looking for a spot in mid-air...
"What the hell is that?" Ron asked, leaning on the windowsill, utterly bewildered.
"It looks like... your tower has stood up," a girl in a Beauxbatons uniform said, leaning curiously by the window.
"Oh, I can see that..... My name is Ron Weasley, and you?" Ron instinctively started to complain as if talking to everyone, then quickly corrected himself when he saw the person who had just spoken.
"...You can call me Delacour," Fleur Delacour said.
"Oh, is that your given name?"
"That's my surname."
"Oh, okay, I remember your name is Fleur, right?" Ron started an awkward conversation.
"..."
"Uh, why aren't you talking?"
"..."
On the other side, Kayson used his mechanical arms to secure himself to the outer wall of Gryffindor Tower. He controlled the remote control in his hand while looking down at the ground, slowly guiding the foundation to gently descend into the original large pit.
Bang!
Another sound. Dumbledore took a deep breath. He suddenly regretted agreeing to that headache-inducing plan.
Meanwhile, Karkaroff quietly sidled over: "Dumbledore, what is Professor Kayson doing now? It's not to give us a warning, is it?"
Dumbledore glanced at Karkaroff, and tutted, the meaning clear: 'Are you even worthy?'
Karkaroff sheepishly returned to his group of students, coincidentally bumping into Krum.
"Krum, you'll be studying with the Hogwarts students for most of this semester, right?"
Krum nodded: "That's right."
"That's good. Study Alchemy well, and if there's anything you don't understand, don't be afraid to lose face; just ask," Karkaroff said, patting Kayson's shoulder.
"Mm."
On the other side, after seven or eight attempts, Kayson finally managed to successfully put the foundation back into that poor large pit.
"It's finally over." Kayson wiped his sweat and let out a sigh of relief upon returning to the ground.
Waiting for him was Professor McGonagall, who had been standing there with her arms crossed for a while.
Seeing this, Kayson instinctively shivered and quickly leaned closer to Professor McGonagall: "Professor, you know about our plan. You approved this plan back then!"
Professor McGonagall gave Kayson a strange look: "I'm not here to blame you. I'm here to ask about the progress of the renovation."
"....So you're not rushing lesson plans anymore, and now you're rushing this, right?"
