GTAG Chapter 47: Feeling Terrible
As Godzilla expected, he could now sense the hidden force within himself far more clearly.
He also realized he could tap into more of the power of time and space.
It wasn't at the level of stopping time or teleporting yet, but when traveling between worlds, his control had greatly improved.
One key discovery was that he could now adjust the timeline of his arrival.
In other words, when Godzilla chose to enter another world, he could decide at which point in history he would appear.
This drastically increased his flexibility.
Closing his eyes, Godzilla focused his senses.
There was one world he had always coveted but dared not enter—the realm of Godzilla Earth, Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters.
He confirmed he could land earlier or later than before, but… it still wasn't enough.
Even if he arrived twenty thousand years earlier, his chances of victory were slim.
That was because Godzilla Earth's electromagnetic barrier was absurdly overpowered.
Not even a pair of thermonuclear warheads could break through that defense.
Godzilla had no idea how to overcome such a shield.
As for how humans in that world managed it—they used special harpoons to pierce into Godzilla Earth's body, releasing counteracting electromagnetic pulses that destabilized its cells and forced it to explode like a living bomb.
Godzilla grimaced.
That kind of precision work was beyond him.
After a long, hard look at that world, he gave up on the idea of going there anytime soon.
Instead, he pulled his awareness back and carefully examined the changes within him after devouring Omega.
Aside from greater precision in world traversal, nothing else was obvious.
But he had a strong hunch: Omega's genes had given him more power, just not yet fully revealed.
Godzilla decided he would wait until the small kaiju returned, then fall into deep sleep to sort out his new abilities.
Before long, the creature arrived.
Though calling it "small" was no longer accurate—it had grown into a massive kaiju, even longer than Godzilla in the ocean.
Scars lined its hide, clear marks of many battles fought.
It let out a high-pitched cry when it saw him, circling happily around its creator.
Godzilla felt genuine joy at the sight.
After so many cycles of time resets in the last world, his mind had nearly broken.
Now, watching this kaiju swim with excitement by his side, the heavy weight in his chest finally lifted.
But there was still frustration—he had no proper way to communicate with it.
Only through its movements could he guess its emotions.
Wait. Communication?
Godzilla's tail twitched in the water.
He suddenly remembered—he had devoured Omega.
If he couldn't communicate directly, perhaps Omega's abilities could help.
Godzilla swam back to his seabed lair and allowed himself to sink into hibernation once more.
This time, he intended to recreate Omega inside himself.
Not as an enemy, but as a tool.
He would build a secondary brain.
Originally, he had considered altering his own mind, or perhaps modifying the kaiju he spawned.
But tampering with his own brain was far too risky.
Instead, he would grow a new one inside his body.
And thanks to his knowledge of Kaiju biology, he could.
Using the secondary brain of the Chrysanthemum Beast as a base, and integrating Omega's genetic core, he could craft the perfect organ.
He settled on placing it beneath his chest, in the thickest part of his abdomen.
There, layers of muscle and fat would shield it, along with hardened bone casing he grew around it.
Its defense would rival his skull.
The functions were immense.
Not only could it help him control his altered kaiju, it could also seize command of his body in an emergency.
It was, in every sense, a brain of its own.
From the outside, Godzilla looked no different.
But within, he felt like he had just connected himself to a supercomputer.
Omega's genetic legacy was even more formidable than he had imagined.
If it had survived on Earth for a few more years, killing it might have been a long and grueling battle.
Luckily, it had not been given that time.
Now, with the secondary brain complete, new thoughts surged inside Godzilla's mind.
What if… he made more kaiju?
Before, he had to split his own cells, nurture them carefully, and monitor them constantly.
But now, with the secondary brain assisting, that limitation was gone.
He could build something akin to the "monster factories" once imagined by the Precursors—an entire facility dedicated to mass-producing kaiju.
He envisioned constructing a flesh-and-bone fusion reactor at its core, spawning new monsters under the guidance of subordinate brains.
Whatever type of kaiju he desired, he could now create.
Excited, Godzilla slit open his wrist.
Pink flesh spilled forth, rapidly expanding with the surge of energy.
In moments, the growth ballooned to a diameter of a kilometer, engulfing even Godzilla himself.
The loyal kaiju at his side panicked, thinking disaster had struck its master again.
