Chapter 20 - Chapter : 20 Meeting Devils

"W-Wait… what are you? Are you a demon?" Issei muttered, stumbling backward, his voice trembling as the sight of those dark wings shook him to his core.

Raynare tilted her head and let out a mocking laugh, twirling her fingers playfully as her gaze fell on the small hand band she wore—the gift Issei had nervously given her earlier that day.

"By the way, thanks for the gift," she said, her voice dripping with cruelty. "I did enjoy our little date… but unfortunately, you're still a threat to us."

Her hand lifted gracefully, and in an instant, glowing energy surged at her fingertips, forming into a sharp spear of pure light. The radiant weapon crackled ominously in her grip.

"Die." With a smile, she thrust the spear straight into Issei's abdomen.

"Guhhh—!" Issei's eyes widened in agony as the spear pierced through him, blood spraying from the wound. His knees buckled, his hands desperately clutching at the hole in his stomach as he fell to the ground.

Raynare leaned forward slightly, her wings beating lazily as if this were no more than sport. "Sorry about that. But if you want to blame someone…" Her tone grew colder. "Blame him—the one who gave you the Sacred Gear." With that, she flapped her wings and soared into the night sky, vanishing into the horizon.

Issei sprawled helplessly on the ground, his vision blurring as the pool of blood beneath him spread wider and wider.

'I'm really… gonna die like this? A freaking virgin…' His mind screamed in frustration even as his body weakened. 'What a bitch. If you were going to kill me, you could've at least let me squeeze those jiggly jugs first…'

A bitter laugh bubbled in his throat, but only blood came out. His trembling hand lifted weakly, his gaze focusing on the crimson coating his palm.

Meanwhile, Sho remained perched on the tree branch, watching the chaos unfold below as if he were viewing a live anime scene. His cloak fluttered slightly in the evening breeze as he rested his chin on his hand.

"Well… now Rias should make her entry," Sho muttered to himself, fully expecting the crimson-haired devil to arrive in dramatic fashion.

But a minute passed. Then another. Nothing. The silence lingered, broken only by Issei's faint groans.

"Wait a second… where is Rias? Shouldn't she be here by now?" Sho frowned, finally dropping down from the tree. His boots landed softly on the grass as he walked closer to the dying boy.

That's when he noticed something lying just a few feet away. A piece of paper or a magic flyer with magic circle drawn in it. Sho bent down and picked it up, examining it.

"…So this is the reason," he murmured. It was a summoning flyer—Rias's flyer. "Looks like it fell too far from him. Without it, he couldn't summon her."

Sho crouched beside Issei, carefully placing the flyer on the boy's head. He waited a few seconds… nothing happened. No response, no circle, no crimson light.

"Tch. Figures." Sho exhaled through his nose. "These flyers only work when the human's desire is clear and strong. But this idiot's probably slipping into shock, blanking out instead of thinking." His voice softened slightly, a trace of familiarity in his tone. "I know that state too well."

With a resigned sigh, Sho reached into his inventory and pulled out Healing potion. He uncorked it and dripped it inside Issei mouth. "Well, pervert boy, you owe me one," he muttered, pouring the potion into his mouth.

As for why Sho saved him it was simple Issei wasn't an enemy, nor had the boy caused him any trouble. There was also one main reason why Sho saved him, it was Issei's parents. Sho knew they had only one son, and the pain of losing him would be devastating. Whether he cared deeply or only felt a flicker of sympathy was irrelevant; the fact was, a healing potion was trivial for someone of Sho's means. Helping was an easy decision.

The glowing liquid slid down Issei's throat, and slowly, the gaping wound in his abdomen began knitting itself closed. The bleeding stopped, and flesh reformed where moments ago there had been only torn muscle and agony.

But even as the wound sealed, Issei remained unconscious, his breathing shallow and uneven.

"What happened… was I too late?" Sho whispered under his breath, his expression unreadable. He raised his palm, and with a flick—

SPPLLAASSHHHH!

A burst of water gushed out, washing over Issei's body and clearing away the thick pool of blood that clung to the ground.

"W-Wait—gahhhh! I'm drowning! Gawk—gawk—!" Issei suddenly sputtered awake, thrashing weakly. His eyes shot open in panic. "Wait… who's there?!" Coughing....

Sho quickly stopped the water and stepped back, Hidden beneath his stealth, he watched as Issei rolled over, coughing violently before forcing himself up to a sitting position. His gaze darted around the park, but he saw nothing—Sho remained invisible.

"Wait… my wound?" Issei muttered, rubbing at his stomach. His fingers found only the sticky remnants of bloodstains. The pain was gone. The gaping hole that should've killed him was sealed completely.

"…What the hell is happening?" His thoughts spiraled playing back the memory how his Short term Girlfriend killed him but he was alive so what the fuck is happening?.

"Am I going crazy? Did I finally lose it?!"

He suddenly recalled something his friend Matsuda had said once. 'If a guy doesn't get any boobs to squeeze for too long, he starts hallucinating things that don't exist.'

Issei froze, his face pale with horror. "…No way. Am I seriously that far gone?!"

He clenched his fists, his voice trembling with a ridiculous kind of resolve. "This is serious! If I don't at least squeeze one pair soon, I might actually die!"

Without another word, Issei stumbled to his feet and bolted off in the direction of his home, determination shining in his eyes—for all the wrong reasons.

From the shadows, Sho watched him go, barely able to contain his laughter. "This guy… he's seriously mentally ill. Even in my past life, I wasn't this desperate." He muttered as he also walked towards his warehouse for a quick work.

Dick: That's because you didn't have me in your past life.

....

Inside the warehouse, Sho leaned casually against a crate as he pulled out a sleek debit card and handed it over.

"Baka, here. Take this," he said.

Baka blinked in confusion, tilting his head as he accepted the card. "What is this, boss?"

"There's four million dollars on it," Sho explained simply, his tone calm but firm. "Divide it among yourselves and enjoy."

Baka nearly dropped the card, his eyes widening to the size of saucers. "F-Four… four million dollars?! Wait—how many zeroes is that in won…?" He muttered frantically under his breath, trying to calculate, then froze. "Boss, this much money… it's too much!"

Sho raised his hand dismissively, cutting him off before the protest could continue. "Take it. No more talking on this topic."

The sharpness in his tone left no room for argument. Baka's lips trembled as he clutched the card, his usual goofy demeanor replaced by an almost emotional look. For once, he didn't know what to say.

Sho gave a small nod, turning away as if the matter was already settled. "Well then, I'm heading home. If I get back any later, my mom will scold me."

Before Baka could respond, glowing symbols spread out beneath Sho's feet. In a flash of light, his teleportation circle activated, and his figure vanished from the warehouse—leaving only the stunned silence of his subordinate behind.

.....

Next day

Dressed neatly in his school uniform, glasses perched on his face, Sho stepped out of the house. Instead of using teleportation, he stretched his legs into a light jog. After all, his system's daily missions still included running, and yesterday he'd skipped it—missing out on the reward. No way he was letting that happen again.

As he ran through the quiet streets, his eyes drifted toward Aunt Cass's house. The front door was locked, the windows dark. He remembered what his mom had told him—Aunt Cass had gone to stay with a friend for a few days and wouldn't be back until the end of the week. With a shrug, Sho picked up his pace, the school gates coming into view.

Just as he reached them, a familiar figure blocked his path.

"Sho Yamato," she said firmly, her eyes narrowing behind her glasses.

Sho blinked in confusion. "What now?"

"You need to follow me to the Student Council room," Tsubaki replied in her calm, authoritative tone.

"But why?" Sho asked, raising a brow.

"You'll know when we get there," she answered smoothly, not giving him even a hint of information.

Sho sighed internally, his thoughts grumbling. This girl… she just shows up, says 'follow me,' and when I ask why, she's like 'find out later.' She's seriously starting to annoy me.

Out loud, he crossed his arms. "What if I say no? My mom always told me not to follow strangers. Especially ones who refuse to tell me the reason."

Tsubaki's lips curved ever so slightly into a sharp smile. "Then I hope your mom also told you not to skip school."

"Oi, why get personal? I was just asking a question," Sho said as he walked ahead of Tsubaki. He stopped, glanced back and added, "Why waste your time standing there? Please, lead the way, miss."

Student Council Room

Sho was sitting in front of Sona Shitori, the student council president.

"Can I ask why you called me? I've been sitting here for some minutes, and you still haven't said anything," Sho asked. From the moment he came in, Sona had only told him to sit, then left the room, and later returned to sit opposite him.

"Please wait. Someone wants to meet you," Sona replied.

"Don't tell me… did you call my mom to the school?" Sho said, a slight irritation in his voice.

"No," Sona answered calmly.

Just then, the door opened.

"Kaichou, Miss Rias is here," Tsubaki announced.

As the door opened wider, a girl with long crimson hair stepped inside with her boobs bouncing as if indicating her arrival —it was Rias Gremory.

"So Yamato-san, can we sit there so we can talk?" Sona suggested.

The three of them moved to the couch, sitting opposite one another.

"So, Yamato-san… she's the one who wanted to meet you. But after hearing everything from her, even I felt I should have a talk with you," Sona explained.

"So what is it?" Sho asked, genuinely curious about what they wanted to discuss.

"Let us introduce ourselves properly. I am Sona Sitri, heiress of the Sitri House."

"And I am Rias Gremory, from the Gremory household," Rias added with a gentle smile

"I am Sho Yamato and Don't add any honorific—just talk normally and tell me what it is," Sho said bluntly introducing himself for Rias.

"So, you already knew about the supernatural world," Sona remarked, pushing her glasses slightly.

"Hmm, yeah, I knew. I'm a Underworld businessman after all," Sho replied casually. There was no point in hiding it—sooner or later it could have been revealed anyway.

"I see… but why didn't you submit proper documents here, stating that you are a businessman and that you intend to open your company in the Underworld?" Sona asked, her tone serious.

"Why should I ask your permission for opening my business?" Sho looked baffled.

"I'm not saying permission," Sona corrected him, her voice steady. "You live in a Devil-governed town, and both Rias and I manage it. So, we have the right to know what's happening here."

Sho gave her a slit-eyed look, clearly unimpressed.

"Sorry, I never heard of such a thing. But you know now, so it's fine, I guess," he replied.

Sona, however, felt slightly disappointed in herself. Someone had been living in her territory, attending the same academy, fully aware of the supernatural world—and she had known nothing about it, with determination in her mind she promised herself she will get better.

"Rias, are you going to say anything?" Sona asked, glancing at the crimson-haired girl who had been sitting silently till now.

"Sho, I would like to buy you—" Rias started, but the moment the words slipped out, both Sho and Rias froze in shock.

"I–I mean… not you! I mean your company!" Rias corrected herself quickly, her cheeks turning slightly red.

Sho leaned back, his expression unreadable. "No, I'm fine. There's no way I'd sell it." His tone made it clear he wasn't even considering it.

"I think you got the wrong idea," Rias said firmly and also slightly bouncing her boobs thinking it might increase her chances of getting Sho company.

"What I meant was, we'd like you to work with the Gremory household. We can help promote your business, make it even more popular across the Underworld. In return, we'd only ask for one small favor—you'll need to provide us with the recipe."

Sho narrowed his eyes slightly at the word recipe, his mind already turning.

As Rias clarified more clearly, it became obvious—she had tasted the ice cream, loved it, and now wanted the recipe. If she had it, she could simply ask Akeno or her private chefs to make it anytime she desired, maybe even improve upon it. For that recipe, she even offered Sho a huge sum of money.

But when Sho heard her words, he immediately understood—she might be even crazier than Mr. BALDDY.

"Sorry, Miss Rias, but I don't need your money and I'm not going to sell the company," Sho said calmly. "But… I can give you the recipe." He then asked for a pen and paper and quickly wrote it down. After all, no matter who tried to copy it, it would never turn out the same as his.

"Is there anything more? If not, I'd like to go back to class," Sho added, standing up. Rias couldn't convince him to sell his company, but at least she was satisfied she had managed to get the recipe.

As Sho left the room, Sona turned toward Rias. "Rias, didn't you also mention that Sho possesses a Sacred Gear?"

Rias, who had been staring excitedly at the recipe in her hands, froze for a moment. "Ah… yes. According to the Underworld's documents, he does have some kind of Sacred Gear."

"I should've asked him if he wanted to join my peerage," Rias sighed, realizing she had let the chance slip.

"I doubt he would have accepted," Sona replied. "But tell me—what was the Sacred Gear's name?"

"There wasn't one. It was only written as unknown and classified as a low-grade Sacred Gear," Rias answered.

But what she didn't know, however, was the real reason behind that classification. Sho's Sacred Gear was listed as low-grade only because he had yet to merge its true power with it. Currently it's a normal Sacred Gear made my Azazel.
