Noah was going through hellish pain. He couldn't buy anything from the shop because all his money was gone—just to buy a potion to neutralize the corrosion of his flesh.
He started remembering all the sins he had done in his life.
One time he bit his fat best friend for no reason, just to squish his fat belly.
Another day, he ate the tiffin of that same best friend without telling him.
He did very bad to him; probably he cursed him, that's why he was in this situation.
"Fatty, how dare you curse me? I'll squish your belly again if I meet you someday," Noah thought.
He laughed out even in that agonizing moment.
Then he started screaming again.
Only two minutes passed, but it felt like an eternity.
He put some clothes in his mouth to bite with all his force.
Time seemed stopped for him.
Forty-eight minutes passed, but all he wanted was to die now. His desire to survive was gone by then.
He was still mentally immature. These hellish tortures were slowly making his will tougher.
But that was for the future; right now he was numb from head to toe.
He was barely conscious. Tears were rolling down his cheeks.
Finally, 100 mana points were added to his panel.
He could now create that regeneration fluid. Soon the fluid was created.
He gulped it down in a semi-conscious condition.
Good thing he had thought of this regeneration fluid before; if he hadn't, there was no way he could have imagined something like this in that condition.
Noah gulped down the fluid and fell unconscious.
He had been conscious just to create this vial of regeneration fluid.
All his willpower was hanging on a thin thread of hope: if he fell unconscious, this would turn into an eternal sleep, so he stayed conscious even though all his being was screaming to lose consciousness so that the pain could be lessened.
Five minutes later, all his injuries were healed; his body became as good as new.
Now that his body was healed, he gain conciousness after 30 minutes.
"That was hell, right? If that was not hell, I don't know what hell is."
He was completely naked. Snow sent a chill through his bare skin.
"So chilly. But I don't have any mana left to create clothes. Sigh! Let's wait."
After five minutes, with ten mana points, he created some clothes for himself.
It was a good thing that he had killed all the anacondas in the area, even the king of the anaconda.
Otherwise he would have become a nice snack for them.
Normally other beasts didn't enter the territory of another species.
Then his eyes landed on the corpse of the anaconda king.
It was lying on the ground. Blood was everywhere; his electric dagger had penetrated its skull.
"Let's see if you have any goodies. You gave me a free visit to hell, bastard."
He cut open the body and found a mana core.
He felt euphoria all over his body. It was a silver-level mana core. The price would be at least 10 million or higher. And it would give him 250 points at once.
But he couldn't absorb it now, because he could only absorb black-iron level and bronze-level mana cores at this point.
So he kept the core and started to plan his next move.
The anaconda area was not very dangerous except for this king, but the next area might be more dangerous.
Should he still go forward or go back?
It should be go back, because he needed 2,000 mana points now.
If he could get 10 million coins and buy the bronze-level mana cores from the shop, he would be able to get 500 points; with his 1,500 points now, he would be able to create a gene-evolution serum which would give him a 10× increment in every stat.
With that boost, he would become insanely powerful and also have enough mana to create a multiplication skill.
So going back for now and gathering the 10 million coins would be for the best.
He would go for another massacre now.
No one could blame him. This Realm of Infinity was a place for killing; the more you killed, the stronger you became, the higher your survival chance.
Now he would go on a killing spree in the black panther territory. For that, he would take the system's help.
Go near a group of monsters, activate the flash skill and kill them instantly, wait for 30 seconds, go for another group. This was the plan for now.
Why did he not choose the anacondas? They didn't live in groups. So that would be a waste of money and mana.
Besides, the black panthers would give him speed attributes; that was a fundamental stat to survive here.
Now he needed to wait for 12 hours to fully recharge. Then he would leave.
In these 12 hours, Noah practiced different fighting tactics. He needed to increase his reaction speed, and that would have to be faster.
After twelve hours, Noah was ready.
"Okay, here we go."
Noah started running at full speed. He killed three anacondas on the way to the black panther territory.
He would have to kill 10,000 to get his 10 million coins.
He could use flash fifteen times at once and then he would have to wait for 12 hours to fill his mana tank.
That meant in 24 hours, he could strike 25–30 times.
He had eight days left before the Earth civilization would be exposed to the world.
He needed to kill 10,000 panthers in three days at most, meaning 80–90 attempts.
Now his plan was ready; he would attack an area with around 120 monsters at once.
Three days of nonstop battle. It would be a tough challenge, but he would have to win this challenge if he wanted to survive and leave this forest.
Four days later.
Noah was now standing in that cave again. He felt like it was home. He had finished his mission in four days—took a day longer than expected.
He had four days left.
Noah got sixty-seven speed-attribute cores in those four days, which he had already absorbed.
He got eleven million coins and eleven million experience points.
After that, he bought all ten bronze-level mana cores from the system and absorbed them as well.
He looked at his panel:
[Name: Noah Aldric
Talent: Creation (Unranked)
Vitality: 1120/1120
Level: 17
Strength: 560
Speed: 3470
Mana: 2020
Spirit: 190
Exp: 2.4M/3.5M
Coins: 1M]
He had leveled up four times, plus he got an insane amount of speed attribute points.
Now he had the required mana to create the second gene-evolution serum.
Let's go.
He closed his eyes and started thinking of creating such a fluid which would work two times more than the T virus.
And he got it.
A purple vial of liquid. He would have to inject it into his body this time too.
He pushed the injection into his body after sealing the cave. He didn't know how long it would take this time though.
And same again.
He lost his consciousness again. He felt like a masochist who liked to torture himself.
But this was for survival.
