Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 Drunk Rebecca

"Go to the location I sent you tomorrow afternoon. I'll take you to meet another teammate and discuss the action plan."

After adding Lucy's contact information, Rocky sent the location of his warehouse to Lucy.

"Um."

Lucy responded, then pulled a cigarette from her pocket and prepared to light it. She hadn't completely calmed down from the sudden request, so she decided to smoke a cigarette to calm herself down.

Lucy brought the cigarette to her lips, but her hand paused again. She looked at Rocky and asked.

"Do you smoke?"

Rocky and she are teammates now, and he is not a brat like David. Lucy still chooses to respect Rocky and asks him if he minds.

"I don't smoke. But it's okay, you can smoke, I don't mind."

Rocky doesn't have the habit of smoking. Although he doesn't like the smell of cigarettes, he is used to people smoking next to him. As long as the smell is not too strong, he can accept it.

When Lucy heard that Rocky didn't mind and didn't act pretentiously, she lit a cigarette directly. As the smoke curled around, Lucy's heart gradually calmed down.

She didn't know if her choice was the right one, but since she had already taken this step, there was nothing to worry about.

At this time, a strong man walked up to them. It was Mann.

"Cyborg doctor? Why are you here? It seems like you two know each other?

Here's your share, Lucy."

A stream of data flashed in Mann's eyes, and he transferred Lucy's share of the reward for this mission to him.

Lucy nodded after receiving the money and responded, "We just met."

Mann was no longer confused when he learned that the two had just met. Although he didn't know how Rocky hooked up with Lucy, the icy beauty, he wouldn't interfere in their affairs.

Mann turned to leave, and Lucy asked.

"Mann calls you a cyborg doctor?"

Since Rocky was a friend of Rebecca, it wasn't surprising that Mann knew him. What made her curious was how Mann addressed him.

"Yeah, I'm just a prosthetics seller and surgeon. Occasionally I'll do some cyberpunk work on the side. My clinic is right there."

Rocky pointed in the direction of the clinic and said confidently.

"Then I must be crazy to choose to go to the Blue Bi Building to kill people with a cyborg doctor." Lucy said with a slightly teasing smile.

"Who says it isn't?"

"Okay, I'm going back now. See you tomorrow."

After finishing a cigarette, Lucy waved her hand, stood up and walked forward.

Lucy was originally just waiting for Mann to transfer the reward. She actually didn't like the noisy atmosphere here. She preferred to sit quietly and look up at the beautiful starry sky.

Lucy's home is in the apartment building in front, and she can get home in just two steps. She often goes back by herself without having to wait for Falco to pick her up, and Mann and the others are used to it.

"See you tomorrow then."

Having completed his mission, Rocky did not stop Lucy. After all, they were not very familiar with each other and did not have much to talk about. Anyway, as long as they established a connection, they would have plenty of time to discuss life.

I called Jack and told him that the hacking issue had been dealt with and he didn't need to worry about it anymore.

After sending the warehouse address to Jack and agreeing on a time, Rocky hung up the phone.

Seeing the empty seat next to him, Rocky had no choice but to stand up.

People were still so happy at this time, but Rocky had no interest in integrating with them.

Looking in Rebecca's direction, I found that Rebecca seemed to be lying on the bar.

Rocky walked over and found Rebecca lying on the bar, wondering if she had fallen asleep.

"Did he drink too much? This guy is too careless." Rocky muttered.

What Rocky didn't know was that this seemed to be the first time Rebecca had drunk so much alcohol.

But there was no need to worry about Rebecca getting into trouble, as Mann and the others were nearby. And while the people drinking here were a mixed bunch, they all knew Rebecca to some extent.

Rebecca is not as easy to talk to as Lucy. If anyone dares to provoke her, she will point a gun at them in the next second, so no one comes to cause trouble for her, and most people don't like her type.

Rebecca didn't bury her head in her arms, but lay on her side with her eyes closed.

Rocky stood next to Rebecca, looking at her face.

Under the neon lights of the drive-in bar, Rebecca's slightly tipsy face made her look particularly cute and attractive.

Rocky couldn't help but stretched out his right hand and gently placed it on Rebecca's head.

He felt the soft touch of Rebecca's hair, but before Rocky could finish feeling it, the body under his hand moved.

"Um...Rebecca, it's me."

Rocky explained hastily as he looked at the pink-green painted pistol resting against his chin.

Rebecca was just a little dizzy from drinking too much, so she lay down and rested for a while, but she was not drunk.

Coupled with her cyberpunk self-preservation reflex, the moment Rebecca felt someone touching her, she pulled out her pistol and pointed it at the culprit as if by reflex.

"Hey, it's L. Is there something wrong?" Rebecca came to her senses and realized it was Rocky, so she put down the pistol that was pointing at Rocky.

"It's nothing. I just saw you lying there and was a little worried about your condition, so I patted you. And you drank so much alcohol and just lay here like this, I was afraid you would be in danger." Rocky explained without blushing.

"I see. But don't worry, you see my reaction is very quick. If it were anyone else, they would have been shot by now."

After hearing Rocky's explanation, Rebecca didn't worry about why Rocky took a picture of her head instead of her shoulders. She smiled and waved the pistol in her hand at Rocky.

"Haha. It's really impressive. Looks like I was worrying too much."

"No, at least I know you care about me, L. I'm very happy."

At this time, Rebecca had a lovely smile on her slightly drunk face, and even Rocky was a little stunned.

After staring at Rebecca for a while, Rocky said, "By the way, Rebecca, it's not good to drink so much. Do you want to go for a drive in Night City to sober up?"

Originally, Rocky planned to return to the clinic to finish making the serum, but looking at Rebecca's appearance and his slightly accelerated heartbeat, Rocky felt that making the serum was not so urgent.

"Good suggestion. This is the first time I've gotten so drunk that I feel dizzy. I really need to sober up. But I have to talk to them first. Let's go."

Rebecca held her head and accepted Rocky's proposal.

Jumping off her seat, Rebecca brought Rocky to Pyrrha.

"Brother, I have something to do first, you don't have to wait for me."

Rebecca's voice reached Pyrrha's ears, and Pyrrha, who was originally chatting and laughing with others, also shifted her attention.

"Huh? Rebecca, what are you talking about? And who is this guy? What are you going to do with him?

Hey! Boy, I'm telling you, you'd better know what you're doing. Don't think you can touch my sister just because you're pretty. I'm warning you, I don't even know you. If you dare..."

"It's so noisy!"
