Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: How My True Form Is Actually a Slime

The continent of Teyvat.

The outskirts of Mondstadt.

Underground ruins.

"Morax, your grandpa is alive again!"

The underground ruins were littered with rubble and boiling with surging Pyro energy. A round, chubby figure stood within a pentagram altar, bouncing excitedly.

"Once I retrieve the Visions I granted my followers, I'll make you understand what a real Flame Archon is."

"And that little brat from Munata—aaagh! I can't believe I got tricked by a Pyro Sprite!"

Now reduced to a Pyro Slime, Farmas kept hopping up and down atop the altar. His plump body looked utterly ridiculous—perhaps… even a little cute.

As for why the mighty Flame Archon Farmas was here—well, it was a long story.

Farmas had originally been named Anderson. Back on Earth in the 21st century, he was busy grinding through Genshin Impact's newly released Dragonspine map, desperately trying to find torches to melt ice. He had no idea that strange lightning flickered across the night sky outside.

A moment later, a purple flash struck Anderson, who was fully absorbed in his game. The next thing he knew, he excitedly discovered he had traveled to the legendary game world itself—Teyvat—and to the far western land of a thousand years past, becoming the Flame Archon Farmas amidst the great chaos of ancient Natlan.

Freshly transmigrated Farmas lived quite the carefree life. With the inherent "Pyro top-of-the-food-chain" buff, the Archon War among rising gods felt like daily entertainment. As the Flame Archon, he was absolutely on par with the God of War, Morax.

During his free time, Farmas couldn't bear to see humans suffer. He taught them martial arts, warfare, and raiding. He granted a portion of his favored followers Pyro Visions and built with his own hands a kingdom of war—Munata.

And so began his grandest endeavor.

Then suddenly, a deity named Morax emerged. Not only did he defeat the legendary Vortex Demon Osial who ruled the seas, he also made contracts with humans, establishing the great central nation and port—Liyue.

As a transmigrator, Farmas of course knew this Geo Archon named Morax. His original plan was simply to avoid the legendary God of War and quietly maintain his ancient nation of Munata. Who would've thought Morax would show up at his doorstep—dragged in by a Pyro Sprite from Munata, no less?

Farmas still remembered Morax's words, spoken as they hovered in the air, locked in confrontation:

"Tyrant, war is not your plaything. Look down at your people. Their suffering has long surpassed its limit."

Raging fire was reflected in the molten-gold eyes of Morax. Farmas knew exactly what he meant. Farmas had taught humans martial arts, appointed his own generals, and during the Archon War, to protect the displaced, he had to wage rebellion.

"Morax, war has saved more people. Look around Munata—the Vortex Demon Osial, the Tempest God Decarabian, the East Wind Dragon Dvalin—no human nation is as united as Munata!"

"United?"

Morax looked past him, and Farmas followed his gaze.

"Tyrant, you killed my son."

"We don't want war—we want peace."

"Great War God Farmas, please spare the people of Munata."

Farmas heard the furious roars from below. Slave owners and generals alike held torches and weapons—they had come to overturn his rule.

"They don't understand… Morax, you don't understand either."

Farmas struck first, unleashing six massive pillars of flame that surged toward Morax. The spreading Pyro turned half the sky crimson.

Since arriving in Teyvat, Farmas had never fought with full strength. But facing the legendary God of War, he couldn't afford to hold back.

"Impenetrable."

Geo energy surged, forming a tight shield around Morax.

"Shatter mountains!"

Flame dragons collided with Morax's stone pillars, exploding into crystal shards that rained across the sky.

At the edge of the battlefield, a tiny Pyro Sprite snuck around, happily absorbing the scattered Pyro energy.

"Let's use this, then… Archon."

After several exchanges, both sides realized they couldn't overwhelm the other. Morax, ever sharp-eyed, spotted the Pyro Sprite now at the center of the battlefield, greedily absorbing Pyro energy—and a plan came to him.

"Heavenly Manifestation!"

Farmas felt the crushing pressure as Geo energy in the air rapidly surpassed his Pyro. He summoned more flame dragons, drawing frantically from the leylines.

"Is this your strongest move, Morax?"

A massive star of pure Geo descended upon him.

At the same time, columns of Pyro erupted, and blazing flames engulfed all of Munata.

But just as the final clash began—

Farmas suddenly felt a gap in his power.

"What?!"

Within the inferno, the Pyro Sprite was joyfully absorbing Farmas's Pyro energy.

"Perfect timing!"

Morax seized the moment of Farmas's distraction and roared again:

"Heavenly Manifestation!"

"Morax, you cheated!"

Hiding within the ruins, now reduced to his true form—a Pyro Slime—Farmas grumbled about Morax's dirty trick. After calming down, he prepared to leave the sealed ruins and see what time period it was outside.

A blinding ray of sunlight.

Exiting the underground ruins, Farmas slowly adjusted to the light. Turning his gaze, he saw a grand castle rising from an island in the middle of a lake.

"Mondstadt?"

"Morax blasted me all the way to Mondstadt with a single meteor?!"

"I wonder if the main storyline has started yet."

Farmas suddenly thought of the sister searching for her blood sibling—Lumine.

"Ah, let's find Barbatos first. That little wind sprite owes me a lot of wine money. No way he'd ignore me, right?"

He looked down at his round, wobbly body and felt the urge to cry. Who would've thought that the once-mighty God of War—the Lord of Flames, Farmas—had a true form that was… a Slime?

"As long as I find two Pyro Visions, I can turn human again!"

With newfound resolve, Farmas began bouncing his way toward Mondstadt.
