Chapter 22 - [22] The Crazy Instructor

Just as the students were busy whispering to each other, the walls before the podium slid open. Instantly the entire student body including Theon tensed up!

They could't help but question themselves if this was a test that had been set by the academy to test their reactions.

If it was, they were ready to react at any time.

Within the darkness of the opened door and under the throat gripping silence of the morning Hall, the sound of footsteps reverberated through the entire hall. It might seem light, but to the students, it was like their hearts were being pounded by hammers as the footstep got closer. Theon was no exception either! He was forcefully calming his nerves which were why he didn't reveal any signs of panic.

In the next second though, the figure emerged from within the darkness as the light rays curved and reflected off the body of the figure, finally revealing who it was.

It was an astonishingly beautiful lady in a very provocative dress. Her top revealed a smooth and delicate neckline with clear brown succulent skin. The straps hung by her clear bronze shoulder as the top stops right above her navel, showing off her tummy with flat but defined abs.

She wore a shirt that revealed her thick curvy legs which were so alluring most of the boys and girls in the group forgot to breathe. Her beautiful face was small and delicate and her eyebrows were perfectly streamlined. She looked more like a drawing that real life with her beauty which spiked the jealousy of the many female students.

Her eyes were deep grey and they seem to transform to a light green colour as she focused on the tablet before her. She didn't seem to be old as she appeared to be in her early twenties, but the wisdom in her eyes said otherwise.

The entire class had gone silent at this point. The lady finally looked at the students before her but her eyes contained indifference as though she had done this a thousand times.

The wall behind her closed and a transparent screen with a few words appeared on it.

'Advanced Talent Cultivation: The 108 Meridian System.'

"Call me Instructor Vera and let's begin the lecture." Her voice was clear and dominant as she spoke.

"Today we will discuss the fundamental pathway to maximizing your genetic talents, regardless of their rank from F to S-class. Every cultivator possesses 108 special meridians that connect directly to their Primal Bone which is considered the core source of all talent-based abilities."

She gestured to a holographic display that appeared above the podium, showing a human figure with glowing pathways throughout the body.

"Your Primal Bone contains the essence of your awakened talent. To properly nourish and strengthen this bone, you must systematically open these 108 meridians. Each meridian that you successfully unlock will improve three crucial aspects of your cultivation."

The hologram shifted to show energy flowing through various pathways as she continued.

"First: Enhanced control over your specific ability. An F-rank talent with twenty opened meridians will demonstrate far superior precision and efficiency compared to the same F-rank talent with only five opened meridians."

"Second: Improved physical constitution. Each meridian opening strengthens your body's capacity to channel primal energy, resulting in enhanced durability, speed, and overall physique."

"Third: Purification of your primal energy. As more meridians open, your energy becomes more refined and potent, allowing for techniques that would be impossible with crude, unrefined power."

As Theon listened intently, Instructor Vera's tone became more serious.

"But the ultimate goal transcends these individual improvements. Legend speaks of those rare individuals who have managed to open all 108 meridians. It is said that when this pinnacle is achieved, the heavens and earth themselves resonate with the cultivator's talent."

A murmur of amazement rippled through the classroom as students contemplated her words switch seriousness in their faces.

"At the 108th meridian, thought becomes action. No gestures, no energy gathering, no preparation time - a simple mental command activates your talent at its maximum potential. The wielder essentially becomes a divine being within their area of expertise, capable of manipulating matter itself in accordance with their talent's nature."

She paused, as she allowed her words to sink into the students brain.

"Even our academy's Dean, one of the most powerful cultivators in the continent, has only managed to open 80 meridians after decades of intense cultivation. Each meridian is like climbing an impossible mountain - the higher you ascend, the more treacherous and demanding the path becomes."

The holographic display shifted to show the increasing difficulty curve, with each meridian represented as a progressively more daunting obstacle.

"The first ten meridians might be opened through diligent practice and proper technique. Meridians eleven through thirty require exceptional talent and resources. Beyond the fiftieth meridian, only prodigious geniuses with access to legendary cultivation resources can hope to advance."

"And past the seventieth meridian?" She smiled grimly. "That realm belongs to those who have transcended normal human limitations entirely."

Theon felt his excitement building as he absorbed this information. With his quest system and enhanced learning abilities, perhaps he could achieve what others considered impossible.

"Now, the practical application," Instructor Vera continued. "Opening meridians requires specific meditation techniques, precise energy circulation patterns, and often the consumption of rare cultivation resources. The process is dangerous - a single mistake can result in permanently damaged energy pathways or worse."

She gestured to another display showing various meditation positions and energy flow diagrams.

"We will begin with the foundational techniques necessary to sense your first meridian. Remember, this process cannot be rushed. Attempting to force a meridian opening before you're properly prepared is a guaranteed path to crippling yourself."

As the lecture continued with detailed instruction on preliminary meridian sensing techniques, Theon created a mental quest: "Master the foundational meridian opening theory presented in this class."

[Ding! Quest Created]

[Objective: Fully Comprehend Meridian Opening Fundamentals]

[Reward: Open 10 meridians]

[Accept Quest? Y/N]

"Accept,"Theon spoke in his mind and then instantly and actively listened, letting himself absorb every single detail of the lecture and not missing a single point.
