Chapter 2 - To My Death, it is!

BACK AT THE HOUSE

MEDONA

He rushes ot of he house like someone with a death timer over his head. I know I was hard on him but I have to. That is the only way I can convince him to accept he offer from Sir First. He can officially become a Warrior Aid to one of the most powerful warriors on the planet.

I know I must seem like I hate him but I just want the best for him. Ever since he was young growing up on the street has made him closed off, and crazy. Imagine him believing he can become a Warrior? He only has 13.5% maagi pool, and he would need at least 20% to get accepted to the least Warrior Academy in the realm.

He has a higher chance making it as a Warrior Aid, at least he would have a secure future.

"Hey, Med, a letter came for Mael!" Dreila tiny voice breaks through my thoughts and I turn to face her.

"What is in it?" I ask snatching it off her hands. I tear it open, and the first thing to catch my eye was the Warrior Guild Symbol on the letter. What does the Warrior Guild want with Mael?

"Dear SAMAEL MORGAN,

We are glad to announce to you that you have finally acquired the status of a Class W Warrior Cadet, with a maagi pool of 23%.

Attached to this letter is your Cadet card. However, to activate it's usage you need to join a Warrior Academy and officially become a Cadet. Goodluck on your Warrior Career, Cadet.

Status: Newly Awakened

Class: Weak

Bloodline: Inconclusive

Maagi Type: Inconclusive

Signed,

JOSHUA LURNET,

Guild President."

I must be dreaming right?

"The idiot really did it!" He achieved the impossible. In Relnoriz Magic exists, and all the creatures you can ever imagine are real. Some are monsters, others are Warriors, and some are just normal. Our powers are ranked based on our maagi pool and it never increases. Whatever your first test says remains the same forever. How did he not only grow his magic pool, but by close to 10%.

The last and only person to ever grow his maagi pool is now the most powerful Warrior to walk this earth. Does that mean Samael might have a bright career ahead of him as a Warrior? Impossible? He does not even have a Bloodline. Lets not get his hopes up.

"Don't tell him about the letter when he gets back." I tell everyone at the table.

"We don't even know the content of this mysterious letter." Balrun replies me in a cocky tone as he throws a grape in his mouth.

"That is none of your concern." I yell at him and he sits up "and If I hear a breath of this outside here, I'll make sure you never speak again." I threaten and he nods hastily "that's what I thought." I add and leave the room.

I toss the letter in the fireplace as I leave. I have to protet him! That is the only way I can keep him safe! It's best if he doesn't know.

I rush through the halls heading for his office. He has to know about this before things go bad. I burst in without knocking and everyone jerks from their seat.

"What disrespect? Barging in like you own the place. Get out now!" Prof Rodlan, the Head of Practical Magic Department, snaps at me and I was still out of breath so I just brush her off.

"Let him be! To what do I owe this honour?" He says shutting any other arguement from the other lecturers on seat. I could speak now so I reply.

"It's an urgent private matter, Master." I reply instantly and he gets it immediately.

"Is that so?" He says with a smirk and faces the lecturers "we will continue this discussion later then!" They all looked shocked but none of them could argue with him. He is the most powerful Warrior to walk this realm. They dare not. They all get up and scuffle out murmuring curses at me. I deserve that."what do you have for me?" He asks his attention on the paperwork scattered on his table.

"It's about the boy" i say and he scoffs

"What boy?" He asks still uninterested.

"The orphan boy who was left at your door as a baby." I reply and he scoffs. He has been watching over the boy for his whole life like the letter we saw requested.

"What trouble did he get himself into again?" He groans in frustration.

"None" I reply

"Then what happened?"

"I don't know how to say this, master" i stutter and he shoots me a glare

"Spit it out" he blandly mutters

"His maagi pool grew by almost 10%" I rush out in a breath and he flies off his seat.

"Maagi pool growth is nearly impossible." He says now interested but not shocked.

"But it is possible, and he did it." I reply him and he goes silent for alobg while. I was starting to getting worried when he looks up at me again.

"Bring him to me now!" He says still seated and calm.

"There... There might be a little problem with that, master" I say nervously. He is going to kill me if he finds out.

ON HIS WAY TO THE GATE

SAMAEL

I run as fast as my weak legs could carry me. Good thing I grew up on these streets, I know every nook and cranny of the Capital. I take a quick turn into a corner and step into the shop on my right.

"Hey Paul" I greet as I run by

"Be careful with the cakes, I just made them" he yells at my retreating form and I snatch a slice of cranberry pie on my way out. I take the side stairs to the top of the building.

I jump from the top of the building to the building next to it, and the one after. At the third building I enter the hallway immediately close to the top and run through the hall.

"You rascal, don't stain my porcelain tiles with your filthy shoes." An aged woman swipes at me with her walking stick screaming and I barely avoid it as I fly out the window and land on the balcony.

"I'm sorry Madam Glenda, I'm late for work. You look ravishing today as usual" I scream back as I take the balcony and fly to the one below. She blushes at my comment and I smile. A few steps and two jumps and I land on the floor of the alley behind the house.

I walk back on the street and the gate was rigt ahead. I start running for it and check my wristwatch. If I don't make it to that place in 10 secs the gate will be closed before we can make our journey.

I push my feet running and prayed to whatever god or magic that exist to help. I didn't know how but I felt my body move at unnatural speed. In a blink of an eye I was standing in front of the gate where Sir First was walking into already.

"You are late!" He snaps at me and I try to reply but the words get caught in my throat. Instead I cough and stare like a fucking idiot. "Well you don't need an invitation do you? Come on." He snaps and I run through the gate as his face disappears behind it with one thought.

How the hell did I run that fast?

"There... There might be a little problem with that, master" I say nervously. He is going to kill me if he finds out.

"What do you mean by problem?" He says glaring me down and I shrink in fear. His aura flares out and I couldn't bear. I start choking as the life was slowly being drained out of me. Is this his acclaimed aura? It's even more scary than they say. They say no one can survive his aura. His aura alone can kill thousands of his enemies. They weren't lying. It was like a heavy weight settled on my throat and the life was being sucked out of me with a large pipe. Just as I was about to pass out the pain stops and I draw in a large breath.

"Master!" I cough out and he takes his e at while drawing in heavy breaths.

"I apologize, my emotions got the best of me" he says and I nod "what happened to him?" He asks and I take another mouthful of breath before replying

"He went on a secret mission with Sir First." I say and he swallows.

"Okay, then he can see me when he gets back!" He mutters and I shake my head.

"Master, when I looked into the mission, I found out that..." I start but I couldn't say it.

"What did you find out?" He asks worry lacing his tone and i shake my head. I can't tell him, it will break him. "Spit it out, goddamit" he snaps at me and the words pour out before I can stop them.

"The mission is to the Ultimate trials" I rush out in a breath, and he slumps on his seat.

"It's a death sentence for even the most powerful of Warriors! He will be dead before he makes it anywhere!" He says his voice cracking at the end. "I have sent this boy to his death with my hands." He murmurs and I feel for him. He has always loved the boy like a son.

"They are meant to leave today" I reply and he looks up at me.

"Put me on the line with the First Family! I have to stop this now" he snaps and I dial the number.

Let's hope we are not too late!
