Chapter 193 - Chapter 193 Capital

The capital city of the Land of Fire.

As the capital of the Ninja World's most prosperous nation, the Land of Fire, it indeed appeared magnificent.

The city walls were significantly taller than Konoha Village's low walls, with blocks of bluestone exuding an ancient aura.

Time had left clear marks on the city walls, yet it hadn't diminished their beauty; instead, it imbued them with a spirit of enduring countless storms and still standing tall.

After a brief look, Yuuki led his team into the capital city.

Since that night's agreement with Black Zetsu, Yuuki had accelerated his team's pace, covering the remaining two-thirds of the journey in less than two days.

As the Hokage, he naturally had a dedicated escort.

After settling into their accommodation, the official returned to report, having been very courteous to Yuuki and his group.

The reason was simple: Yuuki and his Ninja Clan had many collaborations.

Their lodging was even more luxurious than Hiashi's estate, which Yuuki had visited, with all facilities readily available.

Perhaps understanding the habits of Ninja, although there were many servants, they did not move about freely; instead, they were gathered in a small courtyard.

If Yuuki and his team needed service, they could arrange it themselves from the courtyard; these servants had been informed that they must remain in the courtyard and not move about without permission.

Yuuki naturally had no need for servants.

If he hadn't experienced it, he might have been curious about the feeling, but Yuuki himself hadn't directly experienced it.

However, his Shadow Clone had thoroughly enjoyed itself in the Land of Rice Fields back then; although it was the Shadow Clone's experience, the memories were real.

After the team disbanded and each chose their rooms, a restless Yuuki left their lodging and began to explore the capital of the Land of Fire.

Walking down the main street, Yuuki noticed the disparity between Konoha and the capital.

For example, the main avenue Yuuki was on was incredibly wide; in comparison, Konoha's main streets seemed much more modest.

Yuuki pondered for a moment and understood: when Konoha Village was founded, although almost all the Ninja Clans of the Land of Fire joined Konoha.

However, at that time, each clan had only a few members, and while building Konoha, they considered the future increase in population, but it was clear that everyone at the time underestimated people's ability to procreate.

Although Konoha's streets were still relatively wide, they became somewhat crowded on holidays.

The capital was different; from its inception, it was built with the purpose of being a capital city, so the roads were not only very wide but also entirely paved with bluestone.

Additionally, the architectural style of the capital was vastly different from Konoha.

There were many tall buildings here, not the square, blocky kind, but rather tower or pavilion-style high-rises.

Each building had unique characteristics in its carved exterior decorations, the wood used, and the paint.

Yuuki observed the capital's customs with great interest.

Unfortunately, he could mostly only view the buildings from the outside; each building was a grand estate with high walls, isolated from the outside world.

Although the main street was clean, there were few pedestrians, only a handful of servants cleaning outside.

This was the area where nobles and high officials resided; commoners who entered without permission would inevitably face punishment.

After wandering for a while, Yuuki couldn't help but exclaim, "As expected of the capital! It's far beyond what our little village can compare to."

It was grand, clean, and possessed a dignified nobility, but it was also rigidly hierarchical.

After walking for about an hour, Yuuki arrived at another area of the capital, the commoner's district.

Upon entering the commoner's district, Yuuki's first impression was its liveliness, with people coming and going.

His deepest impression afterward was the dirtiness.

The streets were the same as before, equally wide, and also paved with bluestone.

However, the bluestones here had various messy marks, and various unknown mixtures had stained them different colors.

Secondly, there was the air; after Yuuki's efforts, Konoha had many factories, and although Konoha was surrounded by forests, the air quality had severely declined in recent years, with peculiar odors.

Especially the various chemical factories, for which the Inuzuka Clan had complained to Yuuki multiple times.

The capital had no factories, but that didn't mean the air here was good; the commoner's district had an inescapable stench.

As a Ninja, he immediately recognized it as the smell of horse manure.

The number of merchant caravans coming and going in the capital daily was countless, and with high officials of the Land of Fire gathered here, the number of horses reached an astonishing level.

This was different from the previous area where nobles resided; the important figures in those places had specifically established cleaning teams for a better living environment.

In the commoner's district, people basically managed their own doorsteps, pushing piles of dirt back and forth, eventually pushing them onto the street or into uninhabited areas.

It was practically a giant dump.

Yuuki walked for a short while before he couldn't stand the smell and decided to return, thinking thankfully.

Good thing Ninja don't ride horses!
