Francesca's POV.
His simple statement managed to suck air out of my lungs.
It was as though time stopped, the only thing in this world that existed was him.
I slowly lifted my gaze and stared into his polished black, scary eyes, hoping he was trying to make a joke with it.
But it didn't look like he was trying to be funny.
What kind of joke was this?
Was he just trying to prey on the fact that I might still be in love with him, or did he mean the word he just said.
I stared into his eyes, and now I couldn't look away. He moved a step closer to me, and I couldn't feel his breath on my face. He could hear my heartbeat. How could hear how irregular and fast it was going.
Cold beads of sweat began to form on my head, and my hands got colder.
"Emilio..."
"Tell me that you don't want me. Tell me that you don't have feelings for me anymore, and I'll take a step back. I'll walk out of this room and never look your way again", he said in a daring manner.
