I screamed.
I even forgot the position I was with Stefano by the side, I pushed him away in realization as I scurried towards the direction of his voice as I felt it was urgent. I expected it to be, I ran towards it.
" Ow." I gasped,
I looked up with tears lingering at the corner of my eyes, about to drop and the bridge of my nose was swollen up and red from the impact.
Paolo stood in front of me, he looked strong and mighty as he stared down on my small frame. I shook from his gaze, looking the other way as I stood at a spot, still as a fossil. Maybe, I was overcome by fear or shame, but I knew that it was either of them.
He looked at me for a while, I felt so but I knew that his eyes were behind my head. He was staring at the spot there, I wondered what he was looking at but I was too afraid to ask so I kept quiet.
I looked away.
