Chapter 49 - Different Taste

Just as he said to Tsunade, Xin's guests are at the very least people who have their own pursuits and goals.

This pursuit isn't just about power; it can be other things as well.

Teuchi began to busy himself behind the kitchen counter, his expression very serious. Clearly, Xin's words just now, and Xin's seemingly familiar relationship with Tsunade, had ignited his competitive spirit.

As a chef obsessed with ramen, his goal is to make his customers love his ramen.

Very pure.

But resolute.

"Please enjoy, customer."

A steaming bowl of ramen was quickly placed in front of Xin.

Teuchi had a confident smile on his face.

This bowl of ramen was perfect in both ingredients and timing, definitely the best he could produce.

"Meow." Himari, perched on Xin's shoulder, slightly stretched her neck, her cute little nose twitched, and she showed a look of disdain.

Yes, it was a look of disdain.

Despite having a fluffy cat face, her expression was very human-like, especially her purple-blue gem-like eyes, which looked like a picky little girl facing vegetables she disliked.

Teuchi's mood became a bit subtle.

Would a cat... like to eat human food?

But there were also ninjas who brought their ninja dogs to eat ramen; at the very least, they should like the smell of meat, right?

Xin didn't pay attention to Teuchi's mood, nor did he follow the local custom of saying "Itadakimasu" or similar phrases. He simply followed the way of tasting ramen, using a spoon to scoop up some broth first, putting it in his mouth, and savoring it carefully.

The moment it entered his mouth.

His brow furrowed.

Seeing this, Teuchi's heart tightened again.

"You can't say it's not delicious without giving a reason, you know." Tsunade on the other side propped her chin with one hand, leaning casually against the counter, her gaze clearly playful. "I actually think Teuchi's skill is even better than before."

Xin smiled and shook his head, putting down the spoon.

"It's not that it's not delicious; it's just that, compared to the ramen I've eaten, it can only be considered average."

This was the truth. The taste was definitely delicious, but it didn't have the kind of ultimate enjoyment that could even make one's soul tremble, like the gourmet food from the Food Wars world.
