Chihiro looked at the Prince cosplayer, then turned toward Michael.
"Honey, you look like the real prince."
Michael, hearing that, turned his head to meet her gaze. His heart pounded a little faster.
'My wife is getting good at flirting now, considering how quiet she usually is,' he thought.
He then held Chihiro's hand.
"Honey, if I am your prince, then you are my princess."
Michael smiled widely.
Chihiro's cheeks flushed slightly.
Suddenly, their order arrived.
"Ahem! Ahem!"
"Sir, here is your order. Please enjoy."
The Butler placed the orders on the table.
The Butler then bowed his head, his right hand on his chest.
"Sir and Madam, it seems your day is beautiful. I sense you are truly destined."
The Butler then offered the book Michael had requested.
He presented it using both hands, like handing an important document to a superior.
"Sir, this is the book I recommended for you."
Michael accepted it.
Michael then looked at the book's cover.
The book was a Light Novel about a man reincarnating into a magical world.
The cover featured a smiling blue 'Slime' along with one of his subordinates who had horns—looking cheerful yet fierce.
Michael looked back at the butler.
"Brother Butler, this book seems interesting."
Michael opened the book to the first page.
Then he spoke again.
"Thank you, Brother Butler, for the service. I think I'm going to like it."
The Butler then bowed, closing his eyes, speaking casually as if it were an honor for him.
"I hope the Sir enjoys it even more after reading a few pages."
The Butler then stood straight, his hands in front of his stomach.
"Please enjoy, Sir and Madam. I will take my leave."
The Butler turned, walking toward the cashier to wait for the next customer.
Chihiro watched Michael, who was absorbed in reading the first page of the Light Novel.
"Honey, are you still thinking about the girl you met? You look very enthusiastic," Chihiro said while enjoying her parfait in the beautiful, wide, round glass using a small, long spoon.
"It seems so, but I think this book is very interesting. Do you want to read it too?"
Chihiro paused in her enjoyment of the parfait.
"Yes, but maybe later when we are home. How about we buy it? It seems interesting, and I'm keen because you look like you enjoy it."
Chihiro then cut a slice of cake on the medium-sized round plate, using a fork and a small cake knife.
Chihiro picked it up, then ate it, savoring every flavor of the cake.
"Honey, this cake is so delicious. Try it, you'll definitely like it!"
Chihiro held both cheeks, closing her eyes as she enjoyed the bite of cake.
She cut another slice after swallowing.
She picked it up and offered it to Michael, who was focused on reading.
"Honey, open your mouth, aaaah!"
Michael, who was reading, leaned his head forward without looking and opened his mouth.
The cake went into his mouth, and Michael slowly chewed it before sitting back as before.
After swallowing, Michael turned toward Chihiro, who was smiling brightly.
"Honey, this is delicious. It's not too sweet, but the rich flavor makes the tongue really appreciate it."
Chihiro held her parfait spoon and picked up the blueberry on the top.
"See? Didn't I tell you? Hee!"
Chihiro ate the blueberry, chewing slowly.
Michael, reading the first page, was thinking about the man in the story.
'This corporate guy is so tragic. Look, he died from a knife stab while trying to stop his friend from being robbed,' Michael thought.
Then he read another paragraph.
"Haha."
Michael chuckled softly.
'It turns out he reincarnated as an eye-less Slime, but he has a unique system,' he mused.
Chihiro glanced at Michael, who had just chuckled.
"Honey, something seems to have caught your attention. Now I really want to read it."
Michael turned his head.
"Relax, honey. Enjoy your food. I'll be done soon. Then I'll buy it, and we can read it later when we're home."
Michael then closed the Light Novel and placed it on the table.
Michael picked up a long spoon, sampling the flavor of his parfait.
He savored it slowly.
"This is perfect for summer. The melted chocolate blend tastes slightly salty yet predominantly sweet, making it very invigorating."
Then Michael tried his sandwich.
He picked it up from the plate using both hands.
He bit into it and chewed slowly.
After swallowing, he placed the sandwich back where it was.
"Wow, this is so fresh, with vegetables and medium-rare meat, creating a very rich flavor."
"Honey, what do you think? Is this sandwich good?"
Chihiro looked at Michael.
She giggled, covering her mouth with her right hand.
"Honey, it looks like there's some mayonnaise sauce left at the corner of your lip."
Chihiro leaned forward.
Her right index finger wiped the mayonnaise sauce away.
Then she pulled back.
"Look at this."
The mayonnaise sauce stuck to her fingertip, which she showed to Michael.
Chihiro then opened her mouth, putting the mayonnaise sauce into her small mouth.
Chihiro sat back down, looking at Michael, who seemed slightly embarrassed.
Michael picked up his sandwich and offered it toward Chihiro.
Michael's bite mark was clearly visible.
"Honey, try mine. Maybe you'll like this too."
Chihiro then opened her mouth.
She looked sexy as she opened her mouth to bite the part Michael had already bitten.
Chihiro then chewed slowly.
Michael smiled as he watched her.
'Time for payback,' he thought.
Michael then put his sandwich back.
He reached out his right hand, slowly and intensely wiping the tomato sauce that was stuck on Chihiro's upper lip.
Michael then showed her his finger.
"Haha, look at this, honey. Looks like something was left there too."
Michael then sucked the tomato sauce off his index finger.
Chihiro felt her heart pound even faster.
Her eyes gleamed as if craving something more.
A heavy breath escaped her, and she tried to hold it back.
'Hold it—hold it! This is not the time,' Chihiro encouraged herself.
Chihiro took a deep breath, then exhaled.
They both then enjoyed their meal casually, full of romance.
After a few hours, they finished their meal, and Michael headed to the cashier.
Michael paid using his ATM card.
They both then left the café, leaving a positive review on the card the Butler had given them.
"Honey, let's go to the bookstore. We're going to buy it."
Michael held Chihiro's hand.
Chihiro clung to him like a limpet, not wanting to let go for any passing moment.
Upon arriving at the bookstore, Michael ordered the Light Novel. He bought three consecutive volumes.
The clerk then brought them to Michael, bagging them in a brown paper bag featuring characters from the book.
The book seemed to be currently booming, which explained why every cosplayer Michael encountered seemed to be wearing a costume from the third volume's cover.
Michael and Chihiro then headed to a crowded clothing section.
Chihiro browsed through nice shirts featuring anime characters or jackets modeled after anime characters.
Chihiro held up the clothes next to Michael's body, looking for the right size for him.
After finding it, Chihiro asked him to try it on in the changing room.
Michael complied, though he was somewhat reluctant after seeing the sweater jacket, which was dominated by red and white and embroidered with the letter W and the word OPPAI.
Michael put it on and looked in the mirror in the changing room.
'This looks weird, sigh. Does my wife like things like this now? I can't figure her out,' Michael mused.
Michael rubbed his forehead, then slowly opened the curtain, trying to suppress his embarrassment.
"Does this fit?"
Michael's face clearly showed his struggle to hide his shame.
Chihiro, seeing him, gasped, then burst into laughter.
"Hahahaha! Honey, you are so funny, but it actually fits well."
Chihiro wiped away the tears that streamed out after her fit of laughter.
Michael, seeing Chihiro's reaction, exhaled and gradually calmed down from his embarrassment.
"Fine, we'll buy this, but there's one condition: you have to get one too, so we can be a couple, haha," Michael said.
Chihiro accepted the offer happily.
They both then took the sweater jackets and a few other clothes to the cashier.
Michael paid, then they left to continue elsewhere.
As Michael walked, chatting with Chihiro and looking around the bustling Akihabara Mall.
Michael's senses screamed just as he subconsciously walked past a figure of a girl dressed normally, with her hair down.
Michael quickly turned back.
He saw the elf girl again, though this time she was clearly visible even from behind.
Her long silver hair flowed down, shining as it caught the mall lights.
Her long ears were clearly visible, and she had small accessories on her ears and hands.
Michael gaped, then blinked, rubbing his eyes with his left hand.
Michael then opened his eyes to make sure it was real.
And the girl disappeared after Michael rubbed his eyes.
Chihiro, sensing something strange in Michael's behavior, patted his shoulder.
"What's wrong, honey? You look shocked."
Michael turned, looking at Chihiro's face.
He tried to remain calm.
"Nothing's wrong, honey. Let's keep going."
Chihiro felt Michael was lying, but she held her tongue, deciding to question him again when they returned home.
