Chapter 9 - First Visibility

On the other hand, Waver was so excited while getting on the bus. But after a few seconds, his excitement died, like a flower dies without water. He was too worried about his mother, so the other things didn't catch his attention. Although there was nothing to catch his attention. He was the first member to ride on the bus. He went to the last row and sat in the corner. He was just thinking how it will be to meet new people, it's quite rare for him to see any person of a similar age. Both sides of his family either have smaller or way bigger kids. So, they don't exchange vibes at all.

He saw one by one kid getting on. But nobody was alone, all had a group or any best friend. So they sat together, Waver was waiting for someone to start a conversation with him. It's not like he was an introvert, but opening is not what he is used to. When he thought maybe not this one, maybe someone is coming here, nobody came. While every kid was gossiping the whole time, he was calculating every possibility that might end up getting him a new person. But time ended, and the bus reached its destination, leaving Waver behind without any companion. He got really angry, not knowing what exactly it should be called. Ego? Self esteem? He doesn't know. But he got down from the bus taking an oath " I will not make any friends if they don't come to me first. "

He went to find the class, but every room looked the same. He never went outside without his parents, so it was way more tough than that. As he walked through the aisle he saw many unknown big figures which made him feel nervous. His soft eyes slowly showed tensed emotion as if he didn't know what should be done. He walked, and walked but he found no room that had similar kids like him.

" I shouldn't have shown that ego, I should've followed where the other kids were going. What should I do now?"

He saw a lady standing in front of a door. She was wearing something that is quite similar to what Waver's mom wears. So he trusted himself and went to her to ask for help. " Excuse me madam, where is my class room? Can you help me find it, please."

The lady looked down with so much pity and said, " aww, poor soul. You are so much mannerful than any kid of your age. Are you lost? Let's see what I can do for you." saying that, she took Waver to her arm and then started walking. Waver was thankful but in the meantime he was thinking, " was it necessary to pick me up like that. I am a well grown child after all. "

Then, the lady dropped him in front of a class and said here you go. This is your class room. I am sure we will meet more often. She stood there for some time as if she was eager to see him seated then she could go. Waver started walking to a seat but noticed the lady still standing so he said, i can go myself. The lady said, yeah, I am pretty sure that you can. She was still standing. Waver took a few more steps, then looked behind and said, I can truly go. The lady said, so go and be seated. Waver took a few more steps and then saw the lady was still standing, so he walked back to the lady and said, listen i can surely go back to my seat. I just got lost a few seconds earlier but that doesn't mean I am a crybaby. So you should leave.

The lady looked at him, two seconds silent. Then she giggled and said, no honey, I am not standing here to see you get to your place. I am standing so that you could sit and then I will enter the classroom. I am your teacher.

Waver's identity got shocked. He got so much red cheeked and went straight to his seat while looking down. In his mind he was thinking, shehh, I was carried by my teacher, on the first day I just ruined my reputation in front of my teacher. I will keep my distance from her.

The teacher entered the classroom, introduced herself in front of the class, then asked the students to do the same. She said everybody would tell their nick name, their hobbies and sore facts that everybody should know. One by one, everyone told their identity. Waver was listening carefully. Some kids talked about their hobbies, some said about their fears. Some told their future dream and some talked about their favourite games. Now, it was time to hear Waver's introduction. His eyes were closed before his turn. He took a deep breath and courage to talk about himself in front of so many people. He stood up.

" Hi everyone! I don't know what I should say. Because I am sometimes confused like my mom, sometimes fixed like my dad. I like to play football, cricket and all the other games with my dad, but spending time with my mom and helping her to do some work is also my favourite. My house is located somewhere that I can't call a hilltrack, but it feels like an adventure to reach my house. There are so many games and stuff at my house that my room mostly looks a mess. I have a weird taste and I like to eat carrots the most. So if someone is close to my heart, i can show them my secret, well, i guess i can tell you guys. I….have…. A closet filled with chocolate. And you know something comes at my house every night and fills it. Although my mom doesn't let me finish all of those by myself. so , I will share with everyone I know to finish it and catch that suspicious figure. I will invite all my friends to do this with me. By the way, people call me rabbit, but you can call me Waver. "
