The Rise of the God of Death
Chapter 36: Divine Sect
The moment they stepped into the Divine Sect, the pressure hit hard. Lucy immediately collapsed to her knees, barely conscious. Nil and Daren staggered, pale and disoriented.
The atmosphere was unlike anything they had ever experienced—filled with pure, raw aura from countless powerful sources. Daimon remained calm. He raised his hand and summoned an invisible barrier, shielding them from the crushing energy. The others finally caught their breath.
Their first destination: *The Living Waterfall*—a sacred place rich in water element aura, perfect for cultivation and elemental mastery. Daimon had one goal: to meet an old ally from the war 800 years ago.
*Artha*—a legendary water elementalist, one of the ten who once stood by Daimon's side. Her skills were mostly supportive, but her elemental mastery was unrivaled. Daimon wanted her to train Lucy.
After two hours of walking through the unfamiliar terrain, they reached a breathtaking sight: a massive crater with five enormous waterfalls crashing down its sides. Inside the crater were three distinct levels, each serving a purpose—housing, cultivation, and elemental training.
Daimon led them directly to the third floor—the most dangerous one. Thankfully, his barrier cloaked their presence.
They walked until they reached a wide, still lake. At its center stood a lone house.
Daimon stopped the others. "Stay back."
As he stepped onto the lake's surface, a terrifying presence exploded from within the house—launching a full-force attack at Daimon, one strong enough to destroy the entire area.
In a flash, Daimon focused power into his legs, dodged mid-air, and countered with his own overwhelming aura. He landed on the attacker—pinning her down, holding both hands.
He smirked.
*"What a nice welcoming... Artha."*
The woman stared up at him, stunned. In the blink of an eye, she flipped Daimon to the ground and straddled him—her eyes wide in disbelief.
*"No way… This is a miracle... My husband is back!"*
Everyone froze—including Daimon.
*"Wait... What? When did that happen?"* he asked, baffled.
Tears streamed down Artha's face as she embraced him.
*"I missed you so much... After you 'died,' the other nine turned on me. Life has been hell without you."*
Daimon gently held her face, his voice calm.
*"I'm here now."*
