Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: "Rituals"

The same voice echoed through the room. Noah tried to clear his vision and look in the direction of the sound. The glass shard that had melted inside Noah's neck reappeared before him, this time with a voice that was much quieter than usual.

Noah stared at the flying glass shards with a look of disbelief and confusion on his face, "You're alive again?!" Noah asked the glass shards in his trembling voice.

The glass shards floated quietly, unlike before, and began to respond to the man's questions in a strange, calm voice. "Ah... Sir, you must be confused about what happened just now?"

"Confusion" had been on Noah's mind since he entered this strange place, Noah still felt fear when he saw the twin of the glass shard in this place. "The glass... it reacted like that because its partner has lost his memory or died..." Said the glass shard in a strange voice, Noah was still trying to calm himself while listening to the glass shard's words by positioning his body leaning against one of the walls to rest for a moment.

Does he have an owner? Noah thought for a moment before asking the glass shard something, even though his fear of him still remained - "Then...who are you..." He asked in a trembling voice.

The glass shard began to answer the boy's questions calmly and began to float around Noah, "Ah...has the session started? Okay... let me introduce myself my lord, I am Scrying... I am just a servant who helps to make this project a success." Said the glass shard while making a floating movement around Noah. Finally he knew the name of this strange floating object.

"You must be confused... why are you here?" Scrying said after circling his body and then flying towards one of the bookshelves in this building, "lya." Without wasting his words, he wanted to know why he was in this strange place and why there was an object floating in front of him, it was like in a mystical film...

"My lord...you were teleported here because you have been officially chosen as a storyteller—you who are a storyteller must create a unique and extraordinary story and tell it before the gods! At the same time, I will inform you about this project." Said the glass shard with its strange voice again, but its voice echoed inside this building.

Telling in front of the gods? Which god is still

nurtured by a fairy tale? In his heart, Noah was still not sure and did not believe what the glass shard said, but for the sake of his safety, he had no choice but to follow what the glass shard said. "Story? What story do they want? Why was I chosen? And who-" Before he could finish his words to ask Scrying, he remembered the incident earlier - he would be killed by Scrying if he said "him" to the glass shard, remembering the excruciating pain in his hands and neck that was still felt.

"My lord... the gods also need a moment of rest after spending time working in this universe, therefore you as a storyteller must entertain the gods who are the guardians of this universe!" Scrying said floating and approaching a bookshelf filled with books that seemed to have not been read for a long time by the inhabitants of this lighthouse. "If you succeed in filling the gods' rest time with interesting stories, you will be promoted as a god too like them!" The last words of the glass shard that had been approaching the bookshelf now began to approach Noah's face.

So... the glass shard that said "this is your chance" was actually offering "Master" to create a story so he could become a god like them... The questions in his mind had begun to be answered, even if only partially, Noah still didn't know who the "God" and "He" that the glass shard meant were.

"Scrying, if I may ask who are the Gods you are referring to?" The man asked with a hint of confusion on his face, remembering that he was not supposed to say "he."

The glass shard or Scrying didn't say anything for 10 seconds and was still floating above the wooden floor.

"My lord, the gods who guard this universe are called The Great Oldest Lutho, they have guarded this entire universe before the world was born, they are like heroes to the believers who believe in them - each has their own belief in their own god." Said the glass shard in a tone that was getting stranger and stranger in Noah's ears.

They? More than one means... "So the gods who are called The Great Oldest Lutho... do you mean by "they" more than one?" Noah continued asking. "Yes, my lord, The Great Oldest Lutho... there are 8 gods who guard this universe... but forgive me, my lord..." Stopping to answer Noah's question, the glass shards flew towards an ancient clock with Roman numerals. Noah only understood part of it after hearing Scrying's explanation and he was still confused by the answer. But now, Noah was also wondering what Scrying was doing to the ancient clock. The ancient clock showed: The short hand was approaching the Roman numeral 2 and the long hand was approaching a point that seemed to be 10 minutes.

"It's time for our second session, my lord! To create a story, you must enter a dream called wonderland! A fantasy world creation that you can create to create a story, and accompany a character available on this bookshelf, to see the character further, you can read their history on this bookshelf." Scrying said as he approached the old bookshelf under the stairs to climb the upper floor. If I want to read book in there, the stairs won't collapse, right?

Feeling unsatisfied with his desire to answer his question, he stared at the flying glass shards and said "Wait! I still have another question and what session are you referring to?!" Noah said in a slightly loud voice with still not understanding on his face. "All these sessions... are indeed implemented and created by the guardians of the universe... they made this so that my lord can focus on the project and know the time. But this time this session will be different if it is from the next day."

"Oh...ok-" Not finishing his words,

"Let's move on to session 3, my lord! Now, you must approach a table and chair that have been provided here!" Scrying said, pointing to a table and chair that had suddenly appeared in the middle of the building. Wait! Why is there furniture here? It feels like there isn't any...

"But Scrying, what did you do to me?" Noah said with a slightly worried face, feeling scared and that something was wrong with the glass shards, but if he went against his orders-it would definitely happen again.

Fear and worry mixed together in his mind, without him realizing it - Scrying was waiting for him as Noah just stood there, not moving at all.

"Calm down, my lord... I will be able to explain further... but for now, let's begin the ritual to enter a story that you want to create!" Scrying said, immediately heading behind Noah's body and starting to push towards the chair and table; the chair was only big enough for 1 person to sit on, had a strange carving on the black leather of the chair. While the table itself was 100x60cm in size, had the same carving as the chair, and was black and blue in color.

A gray mist began to appear from nowhere and filled the wooden path of this building, giving a horror and mysterious atmosphere, Noah was not aware of his surroundings now and his gaze was only focused on an object on the table that seemed familiar to him.

"This..." A white key that seemed like an iron key to open one of the doors that matched it. "Okay, my lord, now I need you to close your eyes and focus your mind, and imagine that you have gained access and entered a story..." Scrying said, floating here and there above Noah's head. As Noah covered his eyes, he had time to think before focusing his mind, "Why did I obey the glass?" Feeling irritated and resigned in his heart, he had no choice but to obey the glass, remembering the incident earlier - the glass shards had entered his mouth and started to hurt Noah's neck, the pain was so incredible! Scrying realized that his master had not focused his mind.

"My lord...concentrate your thoughts..." The strange sound of the glass shards began to give off a scary impression, Noah quickly began to concentrate his thoughts and calm down.

The initially scary feeling suddenly began to feel a little calmer, Noah felt a white light slightly brighten his vision even though he had covered his eyes, he also began to feel that there was no one, including inanimate objects like Scrying, following Noah.

What...

Have I entered a story?

Noah tried to open his eyes and began to feel a little glare from the sunlight even though he had not covered his eyes for long. Noah was amazed and surprised to see where he was now, looking around him, a building that seemed to be a church - a place for its followers to worship, filled with roots and damaged objects that almost filled this place, who knows what happened in this place, was there a scary event? A chair that usually the followers to sit and pray - one of the long brown chairs had someone sleeping there. "Excuse me... hello? Is there someone?" Noah said in a low voice while looking around him, remember this is a church place for worship, must respect and know the manners, the building is quite spacious. As Noah began to take one step forward, Noah saw a hand lying on one of the chairs very close to the wall of this building.

Noah approached and was surprised to see a girl sleeping on this long chair: short hair that almost looked like a boy's and also had a white color with a touch of gold, a long-sleeved blue and white checkered button-down shirt, and lastly dark trousers with suspenders. Noah looked at the girl while thinking "Should I wake her up or just let her be?"

Seeing the current situation and her existence getting further and further away from the real world, Noah tried to wake the girl up gently.

"Excuse me...sis...excuse me...sis..." He said, trying to wake the girl up with his small voice, judging from the girl's figure - it seems like this girl is 15 years old if you take an example: a junior.

There was no response at all, Noah started to think "Is...she dead?" Because he saw that one of the girl's left eyes had been covered by a thread tied with a strange carving, Wait...this carving... The carving on the thread tied to the girl's left eye was the same as the carving on the face and table at that place earlier, "

Without time to think, the girl opened her right eye, seemingly awake, startling Noah slightly as her body suddenly began to move. She got up from the chair she was sleeping in, and a look of confusion began to appear on her face.
