A young woman with hair as dark as night is in the middle of a hill, trying to climb to the top of a tree. After falling hard and tumbling several times, she gets up with a smile, more than ready to try again, her green eyes shining brightly. The warrior observes her, leaning against a tree trunk, exclaiming to himself, "This girl reminds me of certain people, but I can't quite remember." Mentally visualizing several people, two catch his attention within his memories: one is a young woman of about eighteen or maybe twenty, quite athletic with what a man would call curves, black hair with golden tips, dressed in a purple Greek-style tunic, and with green eyes similar to the girl's. The other is an older woman, wearing the same style of tunic, with brown eyes and a very lively smile.
The girl gets back on her feet, sees the sunset in the distance, and the adult approaches her, telling her they're done for today, then disappears from the area. She obeys the order and leaves with a big smile, saying aloud, "He's a good guy." Another day begins; we see the girl entering Forte Academy, accompanied by two other young girls: a redhead with light brown eyes and a black-haired girl also with brown eyes. They greet several people along the way with pure, genuine smiles.
Upon arriving at classroom 1-C, they sit right in the center, continuing their conversation:
Leslie: "Tell me, Alex, what happened to you? Your hair is so messy."
Alexa: "Well, I'm finally doing something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I was so tired yesterday that I fell asleep, hehe."
Tamara: "Oh, Alex, you should at least take a day off from your charity work and focus on yourself."
Alexa: Smiling, "I wish I could, but..."
The conversation is interrupted by the arrival of the teacher, who begins the class. The day passes as it normally would. At dismissal time, the girls take the path to Kiryoku to have something refreshing to drink before going their separate ways. They notice about four boys who seem to be escorting a boy with glasses, the same one who was with the freckled boy last time. Without paying much attention, they continue on their way. As they leave the colorful place that is Kiryoku, Tamara says, "Hey, what do you guys think about what happened a few days ago at that mall?"
Alexa: "What happened? Sorry, I haven't been watching the news much, hehe."
Leslie: "Oh yeah, that was like a horror movie."
Tamara: "That shooting, Alex."
Alexa: "Oh, wow, that's terrible. Poor innocent people." Her eyes darken slightly.
Back on the hill, we see Alexa still trying to pass her test, failing with each attempt, but with every try, she seems to get higher. Jayden approaches to observe her progress up close, noticing how quickly she has advanced. He just watches while his mind keeps trying to form a clear image of who the protagonist reminds him of, without much success. The day ends with her now able to climb about a quarter of the way up the tree.
At her home, a small mansion, she greets her mother upon entering, who without hesitation returns a smile and another greeting. Later, at dinner:
Alexa: "You know, Mom, I always get bored at school, but my friends are a great motivation to keep going."
Mother: "Oh, honey, I'm so glad you're like that. You're so much like your grandmother, always with a smile. And your father, who's away on business... I'll scold him when he gets back," making a pout.
Alexa: "Mom, what are you saying?" Blushing. "Although I'm surprised you got along with Grandma too, even though she was your mother-in-law."
Mother: "Well, your grandmother had such a kind and cheerful personality that she could get along with anyone," looking at a picture of the whole family with the older woman.
After finishing dinner, the staff cleared the table while both went to their respective rooms to continue with their activities.
It's a new day in Guarly. Everything happened as usual while the girls, Tamara and Alexa, waited for Leslie, who had taken the trouble to do everyone's homework for that day.
For the third time, back on the hill, we see Alexa still trying to climb and continuing to fail. As she gets to her feet, the warrior speaks to her: "Look, I'm leaving. You keep at it; I'll be back soon." Hearing this, she climbs the hill again, this time stopping in front of the tree and looking at its top. She makes sure no one is nearby, bends her legs, her smile erased by an expression of coldness, and the brightness in her eyes disappears into a profound darkness. She jumps, reaching the top and touching the tip with her fingers. Landing back on her feet, she thinks, "At last... I have what I was looking for. The Sword Master will help me get my revenge." She smiles again, her characteristic brightness returning to her eyes. Jayden allows a slight smirk of amusement from behind a tree, contemplating the girl's actions, and whispers, "So you were one of her students. No wonder you remind me of that pair."
