Leilani.
My hands trembled slightly as I walked through the glass doors of the dimly lit restaurant, so in order to hide my anxiety from prying eyes, I stuffed my hands deep into my pockets and raised my chin up high, my heart racing with— was that anxiousness— as I walked down to the table I had reserved about an hour ago.
Thankfully, Zevran was not here yet, so I took the opportunity to gather my thoughts a little while I waited for him.
I had no idea what to expect from this meeting but I knew that I needed information. I needed to know what he knows, to fully understand what he was talking about in the so-called note he'd left for me. I also wanted to understand why he was taking it up upon himself to help me, and as all of these fleeted across my mind, I couldn't help but think back to Agnes who was currently living in my guest room… then Louis, who was locked up in one of the dungeons back at Jay's pack.
