Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: An Unexpected Gain from the Curse Mark

The Six-Tails thrashed wildly, desperate to throw Yuto off.

Inwardly, it cursed. Hadn't Isobu said that the First Mizukage had been sealed away forever by Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama working together?

Then what was this?!

But no matter how it twisted, Yuto clung like a nail driven into its flesh, immovable.

"Time to finish this."

He pressed his palm to its head. Black King's terrifying suction erupted, and the beast's massive body stiffened. Its chakra, once surging and boundless, drained away like a river cut open.

No matter how it struggled, nothing could stop the flow. Worse, the pace of loss only quickened.

Now Saiken understood the terror Isobu had felt. This ability was a natural enemy of all tailed beasts—an oppression as absolute as the Ten-Tails itself.

Fear burned in its massive eyes. Better to remain sealed inside Utakata than be consumed here. Death wasn't the fear—it was the humiliation of being controlled.

It whimpered out pleas for mercy, but Yuto's expression didn't change. He only released his hold after draining a full third of the beast's chakra.

He stopped not from mercy, but because Utakata would otherwise die. A jinchuriki's life was bound to their beast; to strip too much was no different from extracting it.

As the pull ceased, Saiken shuddered in relief. At once, its chakra receded back into Utakata's body, its form shrinking until only the unconscious, battered boy remained.

Yuto raised a brow. Smarter than expected.

"Still time before morning. Perfect chance to test something with this borrowed chakra."

He sat cross-legged, closed his eyes, and stirred the energy within.

Nature chakra flowed. A small black circle marked his brow. His perception stretched wide, every detail sharper, the world's patterns clearer—as though he'd gained Sharingan-like clarity.

But that wasn't the point. He needed senjutsu. Later battles would demand it. Against Gudōdama, ordinary ninjutsu was useless, and even taijutsu was suicide.

Black King's power was "Alpha-class." Six Paths-level combat was "Omega-class." Kaguya herself must have been Omega—her mastery of dimensions was beyond Alpha entirely.

So senjutsu was necessary. And with his method, there was no need for Mount Myōboku's training. Why waste time when you had a cheat?

Drawing on the chakra he'd stolen from Saiken, Yuto began converting it into senjutsu chakra.

Hours passed under the rising moon until he finally opened his eyes.

"The supply is enough. Conversion rate's trash, but it works. As long as I've got chakra, I can step straight into Sage Mode."

His gaze sharpened. He let the mode fade.

A chill spread. Curse Mark power surfaced. The round mark on his forehead twisted into a black diamond.

He closed his eyes again, this time funneling the beast's chakra into the seal.

By dawn's light, he stretched, murmuring: "Morning already."

He raised his arm, pouring the curse's energy into it. His limb bulged grotesquely, sprouting barbs. With another thought, it slimmed into a curved blade, its edge gleaming.

Amused, he shifted the power to his back.

Whoosh!

Wings unfurled. They shifted with his will—bat wings, bird wings, and stranger shapes yet, each sprouting effortlessly.

"Interesting. Not much use to me, but for subordinates… this could be perfect. Orochimaru's cursed seals failed too often. With Black King's conversion, I can lower the risk and keep the power intact. A real army-builder."

His eyes gleamed, excitement stirring. This was an unexpected harvest indeed.
