Chapter 35 - 035: Concluding the First Retainer Contract

"Good evening, Miko."

Outside the station, Lin smiled slightly at Yotsuya Miko.

He took off his headphones and greeted her.

"Why are you here?!"

Yotsuya Miko was surprised and puzzled to see Lin.

Was he here to pick her up?

A guess flashed through her mind.

Lin smiled and said, "What if I said I went out for a walk after dinner and coincidentally ended up here?"

"Do you believe me?"

"A walk… I don't believe it."

Yotsuya Miko was slightly startled, then subtly glanced at Lin.

She didn't believe a single word.

How could there be so many coincidences in the world?

She felt Lin must have deliberately come here to wait for her.

Because she had sent Lin a message when she left home.

Thinking of Lin specially coming to pick her up, Yotsuya Miko felt a little happy, and her favorability towards him couldn't help but increase.

"Let's go, to my place."

Lin said, extending his hand, "I'll carry your things for you."

"...Thank you."

After a moment's hesitation, Yotsuya Miko's pretty face flushed slightly, and she handed Lin her bag containing clothes.

"You're welcome."

Lin smiled faintly, took the bag, and slung it over his right shoulder.

Then, looking at her with slight curiosity, he asked:

"By the way, Miko, why are you carrying so many things?"

Yotsuya Miko was carrying two bags.

One was her Private United High School backpack.

The other was the one Lin was now carrying.

It felt as if she was staying out overnight.

"You're asking the obvious."

Hearing Lin's curious question, Yotsuya Miko's fair, pretty face instantly flushed, and shyness appeared in her eyes.

After all, if they were going to do 'that kind of thing', she would definitely need to prepare a change of clothes.

She had even mentally prepared herself to take a day off.

Bringing her school bag was just as a precaution.

"I'm asking the obvious?"

Looking at the shy, blushing Yotsuya Miko, Lin subtly raised an eyebrow, a hint of confusion appearing in his eyes.

He pondered relevant clues.

Recalling their previous chat, he suddenly seemed to understand something.

So Yotsuya Miko had misunderstood.

"What, are you saying I was being cryptic and that's why she misunderstood?"

"Ah, it was me, then never mind."

Lin's face showed dawning realization, and he said with a meaningful smile:

"Since you've already prepared yourself, Miko, then you can sleep at my place tonight."

"Don't worry, my house is very big."

"?(???ω???)?!!"

Yotsuya Miko looked at Lin's somewhat meaningful smile and heard the words 'sleep' again.

Her heart couldn't help but race.

She felt a little hot again.

For some reason, her legs also felt a little weak.

Then the two left the station and walked towards Lin's residence.

Because Lin had already dealt with all the evil spirits he encountered on his way to the station earlier.

So Yotsuya Miko didn't see any evil spirits on the road.

"This is your house?!"

Arriving outside Lin's residence, Yotsuya Miko looked at the obviously not simple, large mansion before her with some surprise.

It seemed Lin came from a very good family.

"Mhm." Lin nodded with a soft laugh, and said to her while taking out his keys to open the door:

"But don't worry, Miko, I'm the only one home."

"Only one person…"

Yotsuya Miko's face flushed again upon hearing this.

So tonight, only she and Lin would be in this house.

No wonder Lin had asked her to come over.

The two came to the first-floor living room. Lin placed the shoulder bag on the sofa, then looked at Yotsuya Miko and asked:

"What would you like to drink?"

"I have orange juice, soda, tomato juice, oolong tea, barley tea, and mineral water too."

"Just mineral water."

Yotsuya Miko blinked upon hearing this, and quickly made her choice.

"Alright, just a moment."

Lin nodded gently, then continued with a smile, "Miko, make yourself at home, like you're in your own house."

As he spoke, he even winked at her.

"Like I'm in my own house!"

Facing Lin's hint—oh no, it was a blatant statement—Yotsuya Miko's eyes trembled slightly, and her gaze flickered.

Her left hand, resting by her left leg, unconsciously gently pinched the hem of her skirt.

Her delicate and pretty face was fair with a reddish tinge, her shyness hard to conceal.

Her little heart inside her chest was pounding, feeling as if it might jump out.

Watching Lin's back as he went to the kitchen, she couldn't help but clutch her chest, her breathing slightly ragged.

Although she desperately wanted to remain calm.

But the mere thought of what was about to happen made her unable to stay calm; instead, her heart raced.

A little while later.

By the time Lin returned to the living room with a bottle of mineral water, Yotsuya Miko had also forced herself to calm down.

Of course, it was only superficial calm.

"Here."

He handed the mineral water to Yotsuya Miko.

"Thank you," she said.

Lin sat down on the sofa. Seeing that Yotsuya Miko was still standing, he patted the spot beside him and said:

"Miko, sit down. Aren't you tired from standing all this time?"

"..."

Yotsuya Miko hesitated for a moment, then finally, with a slight blush, sat down beside Lin.

She unscrewed the mineral water and took a sip.

The water slid down her throat, slightly calming the restlessness in her heart.

At this, Lin smiled and said:

"Let's begin."

"Now! Here?!"

Yotsuya Miko's eyes widened upon hearing this.

Her first time, on the living room sofa?!

"Close your eyes, it's starting."

Lin said softly, a smile playing on his lips, as his body slowly leaned towards Yotsuya Miko.

"!!!"

Yotsuya Miko instinctively closed her eyes as Lin instructed.

Her hands clutched her skirt tightly.

Her body couldn't help but tremble slightly.

Thinking of what was about to happen, her heart was filled with nervousness and some trepidation.

Although she had already made her decision.

When it came down to it, she suddenly felt a little scared.

To think it was only their second day of knowing each other, and she was already about to do "that kind of thing" with Lin.

This could only be described as outrageous.

Just as her heart was incredibly uneasy.

Yotsuya Miko felt Lin gently lift her chin with his finger, and her breath involuntarily hitched.

Then her lips were sealed.

"My first kiss, gone!"

Just as this thought popped into her head.

She suddenly felt a slight warmth in her lower abdomen, followed by a comfortable cold current spreading throughout her body.

Although her eyes were tightly closed.

In a trance, she seemed to 'see' a uniquely styled blue greatsword suspended in the starry sky.

Then she 'saw' Lin again.

In the vast and profound starry sky.

He sat on a strange throne cast and carved from gold.

His feet were casually crossed in front of him, his hands resting on the armrests.

His head was slightly tilted, his right hand supporting his cheek.

His expression was calm, his gaze profound, with billions of stars reflected in his eyes.

Like a high-seated deity looking down upon all creation.

Behind him stood seven greatswords of various colors and exquisite designs.

The blue greatsword was also among them.

"Granting the Power of Order."

Lin's calm voice echoed in Yotsuya Miko's ear.

The blue greatsword emitted dazzling light.

"..."

Yotsuya Miko slowly opened her eyes.

A hint of confusion appeared in her eyes.

Lin sat beside her, the corners of his lips curved slightly, a gentle smile playing on his lips as he looked at her.

"That's it?"

Yotsuya Miko vaguely felt changes within herself and instinctively asked Lin.

"Mhm."

Lin nodded with a smile.

"That was too fast."

Yotsuya Miko was a little surprised.

She didn't feel much yet.
