Minho arrived at the dungeon site on a helicopter. He took off his headphones and handed it to the translator.
The translator looked at Minho, alarmed. "Hunter Minho, what are you doing? We are—"
Before he could complete whatever he was planning on saying, Minho freed himself and jumped out of the helicopter.
The translator blinked rapidly, not believing his eyes. He scurried to the side and saw Minho falling freely with folded arms and a calm expression.
"Brother I was scared ever since that man got on this heli," the pilot said to the translator in Brazilian. "Strong Koreans really are as scary as they look in movies, right?"
"Does he look like an actor to you? Or is life a movie now?" The translator shot back at the pilot. "I've been trying not to piss myself whenever he frowns at me, since yesterday," he muttered to himself.
"He'll be fine right?" The pilot asked.
"Why don't you jump down and go ask him," replied the co-pilot this time.
… …
Minho eventually turned to the dungeon as he got closer and closer. And just as he expected, people were already there.
He was already there.
Christopher Reed.
Down there they were already planning on the formation they were going to take inside the dungeon. It was a mix of Brazil's S-ranks and a few hunters Christopher Reed brought.
"...you two will then stay for backup, okay?" Reed said to two of his hunters.
"What of National Level Hunter Lee Minho, sir?" One of them from the back asked.
"Yeah, isn't he supposed to be here?" Another questioned.
Reed gritted his teeth, brows twitching. "If I hear his name from any of you—"
THUD!
Christopher Reed was interrupted by a sickening thud from behind the hunters. He wasn't startled or moved, more surprised.
He could feel the aura and he knew just who it was.
The startled hunters turned in alarm to see what was there, readying to attack if it was by any chance a monster.
"Again we meet," Minho's voice came in English as he stepped out of the dust in his earlier black training pants and white t-shirt, with his hands in his pockets.
"Did you just jump out of the chopper meant to get you here?" Reed asked, with a look of mock-disbelief.
Minho understanding everything except 'out of the chopper' knew what Reed was talking about, but decided not to reply.
All Minho had to do was exactly nothing, for the American hunters to start greeting him as he walked past them.
"Morning, Hunter Minho."
"Good morning."
"Trust you rested well, Hunter Minho."
"A pleasure to meet you, Hunter Lee, National Level Hunter of Korea."
Some even greeted with Korean, while others bowed their heads.
Minho now surprised turned to them and gave them a single bow of his head, before turning and continuing his walk towards the dungeon.
He was about to walk past Reed when the American National Level Hunter blocked his path with a hand.
Minho looked down at the arm and turned to Christopher Reed.
"Allow us finish with our procedures and we go in together, even if you're going to be on your own," Reed said.
Minho looked at the massive dungeon gate and turned to Reed, then his team. "You want your hunters to die? Can't a National Level Hunter like you tell that it's no ordinary monster in there?" he said in Korean.
Reed raised a brow. "Pardon? I don't speak your language Hunter M—"
"The shut up," Minho said in English, pushing Reed's hand out of the way and continuing his walk into the dungeon.
Christopher Reed stood in place, the words clearly struck deeper than they should. 'Shut up? Did he just tell me to shut up? He has the goddamn guts to look me, Christopher Reed, in the eye and tell me to fucking shut up?'
His mind was reeling and from the outside, the hunters could see that Christopher Reed getting red due to anger. He looked like he was about to explode any moment now.
The leading S-rank of the Brazilian hunters - Paulo Garcia, decided to speak up, to maybe shift focus back to the dungeon.
"Uh, we should just enter the dungeon as well and… do our best."
Reed forced a smile. "Yes. Yes we should. Let's go," he said walking to the gate where Minho had already disappeared into a few seconds ago.
His mind was still holding onto what Minho said, and he made a terrible choice at that moment. 'Only one National Level Hunter leaves this dungeon, Lee Minho. And that is me. An unpredictable, arrogant liability like him is a greater threat to the world order than any dungeon.' he thought.
As they entered the dungeon, they were visited with corpses if beast humanoids. Minho was nowhere to be found. He had already started his run, killing the monsters.
… …
Deep inside the dungeon Minho was just walking with a dagger, cutting whichever monster he saw on his way. He knew summoning his disciples was a bad idea with the company he now had, so he decided to do it all on his own.
He decided to sit a little and tie the laces of his sneakers well. His eyes traced the beast coming for him, but a blast of fire sent it flying back.
He raised his head to see Christopher Reed walking towards him with a sly grin. "Ah, it's good to see you're safe, Hunter Minho."
Minho wasn't fooled by the act. He knew very well that Christopher Reed's mind was not pure and he would eventually try to stab him in the back.
Minho stood, ignoring him and continuing his walk.
A fireball came for Minho's head but snapped out of existence as he snapped his fingers. He stopped and turned to Reed, his face expressionless for a moment before a smile crept up his face. "You seriously want to fight me with flames, Hunter Reed?"
