Chapter 61 - One-Eye

"You seriously want to fight me with flames, Hunter Reed?" Minho asked with a smile.

Reed didn't understand Minho but he spoke either way. "The rumors say you're quite the versatile mage. I guess this confirms the fire aspect."

Minho chuckled and continued his walke into the dungeon, shaking his head. He honestly had no intention of fighting with Christopher Reed for whatever it may.

He wasn't interested, as the outcome was more than clear.

Besides, killing a National Level Hunter will give him the wrong kind of attention he could possibly wish for.

More beast humanoids appeared in front of Minho, but he didn't stop. He slashed what was within range and let the rest go to Reed.

Seeing Minho easily dismantle the threats, Reed wondered how weak the monster's could be and also how weak Brazilian S-ranks were.

He blasted a ball of fire to one that lunged at him, sending it crashing into a wall. He was about walking past when it growled again came out of the dust with a burnt but pumped body.

"Huh?" Reed raised a brow, shooting it with a bigger ball of flame that finally managed to burn it dead. 'Is it because he's using a weapon?' he thought.

Minho looked around the dungeon. It had more than one mana signatures that were going to lead to a dungeon boss. About five.

So, yes. There were potentially five dungeon bosses in this dungeon.

The beasts that attacked him were slightly above the S-ranks back in Korea. But the Brazilian S-ranks were far stronger than he expected, yet they still had a tough time, even losing three of their mates here.

For them, these beasts were a hassle, but nothing they couldn't take out.

Minho came to the final conclusion that they must have stumbled upon one of the potential dungeon bosses, leading to the casualties.

He glanced over his shoulder, seeing Reed slightly struggle with the beasts, not because he wasn't strong enough to beat them, but because he was underestimating them all for the sake of comparing himself to Minho.

"How foolish," Minho muttered.

As he took another step, he stopped and stomped the ground once. Minho could easily tell there was something under there.

Reed watched him stomp continuously until the ground cracked and Minho fell inside. An evil smile stretched on his lips as he walked over to the opening.

It was dark and didn't seem like it was near either, so he was relieved that Minho was now trapped.

Though instead of hearing a call for help, he could hear beasts roaring, followed by a deeper roar literally shook the entire dungeon.

Reed's eyes widened as he saw a beam of fire from deep deep down lighten the place up a little and for a second there before the light disappeared, he could swear he saw the exact dragon from the first S-rank dungeon that appeared.

The dungeon break that named he and the others who fought it National Level Hunters.

No, he must be imagining things.

… …

Down there, Minho patted Kamish's head before dismissing it.

In front of him was an enormous centaur, about five times his size, but with its body completely burnt.

"One down," he muttered as he looked up, seeing Reed's silhouette move over the hole, followed by the other hunters who had just arrived.

… …

Up, Reed led the hunters to a triple path. He split the team in two, sending them to the two by the side and going into the one ahead alone.

He knew that was where the bigger threat was, so he walked forward. Inside, he stumbled upon a gorilla-like beast with four arms and blazing red eyes, surrounded by nearly 20 other beast humanoids.

Reed took off the coat he had on and flexed his fingers, lunging at the beast.

… …

Meanwhile.

Minho had already jumped his way out of the hole he was in and started moving towards them.

He got to the split and could hear more screams coming from the one at the left and then at the right.

The middle path had more roars and explosive sounds, so he decided to check on the hunters by the left.

… …

Reed had already taken down all the minions and was now left with the main boss. He lunged at it, blasting it with beams of flames, but the monster managed to close the gap, just in time, punching him to the wall.

It hit its chest and picked him up from the legs, slamming him into the ground continuously before giving a finishing slam and roaring at his limp form.

It roared at and hit its chest.

Reed's ego was one thing that couldn't be gotten rid off. He was so angry at Minho that its roar sounded like it was mocking him by saying Minho was better than him.

He pushed himself up with gritted teeth and turned to the beast.

As it lunged, a massive flame exploded from where Reed stood.

In that exact spot was now a humanoid one-eyed monster with flaming, long orange hair that glowed.

Reed raised his hands and the huge stones by his side started to levitate. With a swing, he sent them into the beast.

Before it recovered, he went on with a fury of punches, until the beast itself became completely black. Its skin completely burnt.

No doubt, it was dead now.

The flames Reed set up remained undying.

From the right, the wall shattered and a beast fell into the space, tumbling in the ground.

The one person Reed didn't expect was who walked in. Lee Minho.

Before the beast could stand up, Reed pointed his hand at it, pouring out a beam of fire that turned it to ash.

He then stepped forward, walking towards Minho. "You've done enough."

"My my, a mere vessel like you using spiritual body manifestation? How cute," Minho smiled. "You want to fight me, one-eye?" Minho's eyes became slits.
