Chapter 11 - ε Tauri Aa1

The wind blew in another direction, not the direction where the horses stood and their manes shone in the sun, the wind went towards the road.

"Hey guys, to think you wanted to fill that guy with formaldehyde. Lucky my car has a trunk big enough for a freezer, or as you said, Count Cascão's coffin." The coffin was half out, held up by ropes.

"Yes, Uber. Don't you have a candy bar or a halls for me? Will it take long to get to the meeting point?" Mamoru looked out the car window.

"Be quiet, Mamoru, you need to pay attention on the street. Do I look good? It's kind of a business meeting, I need to look presentable."

"You look beautiful. But what happened to your hair?" Mamoru saw a mess in front of him. Shizuko spent a long time fixing her hair before leaving, but it wasn't like usual; something was missing.

Watching the storm emerge in the car mirror, the man began to talk about himself, how he met Amelia and her daughter. He said he'd worked for a long time at Apollo as a scientist subordinate to Elizabeth Shire, but after his promotion, Elizabeth left her entire team. Curious about this, he went to find out what was going on; that's how he learned about Apollo's experiments with the dead, giants, and echidnas. Amelia helped him out of this predicament, and in return, if she needed a favor from Apollo, he would help her.

Now he's in this situation, after nearly stealing a child's body, carrying two young men with their own peculiarities in his backseat, and a guy in his trunk inside a freezer. Before he could get out of it all, the traffic light turned red.

- then...

— is...

— Hello? — the man's cell phone vibrated at the same moment the traffic light turned green.

Breaking every traffic law. The man stepped on the pedal and at the same time answered the phone, seeing it was Amélia calling. The car picked up speed, and a short, young man with curly blond hair and light blue eyes bent down to pick up the flyer that had slipped from his hand. He headed toward the car. For some reason, the young man hadn't noticed the speeding car in front of him hit him. The impact was so strong that the freezer burst open, leaving the giant confused by the impact.

— Did we hit another car?

"I caught a glimpse of a person. The shell looks like you're going to have a freezer buddy." Mamoru spoke loudly, and the giant mumbled something in response.

"What did I do? Kids, change of plans, the meeting place has been changed. While I check what happened to the guy, you guys go there." The man had his hands on his head.

The car's exit was swift, and eyes quickly turned to look for the person who had been hit by the car. Concerned, the man stepped away from the car to check if the person had been thrown into a corner. His attention turned to the front, but there was nothing—to the left, to the right—nothing, so he quickly turned around.

— Hello sir, don't you want to visit my wife's craft beer bar? — the man who looked more like a child in his features and height, with his hair as dark as night.

— Are you hurt, kid? I'm going to take you to the hospital, calm down, did you say bar? So you mean you are...

"What's going on out there?" Shizuko got out of the car.

A pressure was felt, not like the one that had caused the car's impact, but rather something that could be called spiritual. The small, blond-haired youth flashed toward Shizuko. Fearfully, she entered a combat stance, and the man reached out and reached for the young woman.

"Hello, miss, my name is Marengo Vizier Poitevin. I saw that your hair is in a deplorable state. I'm a beginner hairdresser. Would you be willing to help me with my techniques? In exchange, my wife will brew excellent beers for you. Here's the brochure for the place."

"I know what happened. Cascão just said he's Moira, so nothing happened to him. Looks like Cascão won't have a partner, thank goodness, one already stinks enough."

"So you're Mary's husband, Amelia's friend. We're going to meet Amelia and her daughter at your wife's bar. Shizuko, would you please accept Mr. Poitevin's request?"

— I agree, my hair is worse than usual. Come on! Come in!

So they quickly got into the car. The man, as before, looked in the mirror and noticed that the young man with blond hair now had hair as black as night. He found it strange, but continued driving.

The winds blew strong, cold towards the front of the car, they seemed to trace a path towards the new establishment in the city.

"Aunt Mary! Give me your arm! Mommy, I missed you too. Sorry, Mr. Giant Earth Eater, but just be quiet for a while."

— Daughter, you came back to me!

Both Amélia and Mary hugged little Margarida tightly, who returned from her trip earlier than planned.
