Extra Chapter for 200 Powerstones
Let's reach 300 Power Stones for an extra chapter

The weeks roll by, and honestly, life's been kinda… boring. No new missions from the System, no Digimon shenanigans, just regular old high school. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have a break from all the chaos, but a dude can only take so much normalcy before he starts itching for some action.
On the plus side, Koromon and Punimon finally popped. Now I got Agumon and Gabumon running around the Digi-Home. Agumon is a mini-Godzilla, standing about three feet tall, with bright yellow scales and those piercing green eyes. He's got these big, goofy grin and three claws on each hand and foot. Gabumon is also around the same height as Agumon. He's got yellow skin with a horn on his head, but he's always wearing that fur pelt of Garurumon. It makes him look like a shy wolf, even though he's really a reptile underneath.
[Agumon]
[Level: Rookie]
[Type: Reptile]
[Attribute: Vaccine]
[Special Move: Pepper Breath]
[A Reptile Digimon that's developed the ability to walk on two legs, similar in appearance to a tiny dinosaur. Since Agumon isn't fully matured, it lacks strength, but its fierce disposition makes it reckless. Hard, sharp claws grow from its limbs, and Agumon makes full use of them in battle. Agumon shows much potential, promising Digivolution into a great and powerful Digimon. Its special move is Pepper Breath, by which it spits flames at its foes.]
[Gabumon]
[Level: Rookie]
[Type: Reptile]
[Attribute: Data]
[Special Move: Blue Blaster]
[Despite being covered in fur, this is a full-fledged Reptile Digimon. Gabumon is an extremely shy, timid creature, always gathering up the data Garurumon leaves behind and wearing it like a pelt. Since other Digimon are fearful of Garurumon's pelt, this also serves to protect Gabumon. While wearing the pelt, Gabumon's personality is completely reversed. Its special move is Blue Blaster.]
"Hey, brother!" Gabumon says to Agumon, they both love to hang out in the training area of the Digi-Home.
Those two are like little kids, always getting into trouble, but I'm glad to have them. They've been growing like weeds in the Digi-Train area, soaking up all that sweet XP. It's kinda crazy how fast they've leveled up without even fighting anything.
I've been trying to get Agumon and Gabumon to evolve to their Champion forms. Gatomon and BlackGatomon were already Champions when I got them, so I was hoping to power up the rookies. I pull out the Digivice, focusing all my energy and emotion into the device. "Agumon, Digivolve to... Greymon!"
Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Agumon just looks at me with those big, innocent eyes. "Did you say something, Ethan?"
I sigh, running a hand through my hair. "Never mind, Agumon." I guess they still need more real-world combat experience to break through to the next level. Training is one thing, but battling is a whole different ball game. It seems they need some real danger to trigger their next evolution.
I tap on the Digivice screen. "Alright, guys, time for some more training." I guess that's all we can do for now.
Suddenly, the System speaks,
[New mission available: Eliminate Rogue Digimon.]
"Finally!" I exclaim, pumping a fist in the air. "Some action!"
I look at the Digivice. The app shows the telltale ping and direction. Seems like our little friend is hanging out near Times Square. Great. Tourist central.
"Alright, listen up!" I say, gathering Gatomon, BlackGatomon, Agumon, and Gabumon. "We got a new Rogue Digimon sighting. Looks like it's time to hit the streets."
BlackGatomon perks up, her crimson eyes gleaming. "It's nearby. Should be fun. Let's hope this one puts up a better fight than that Monodramon."
Gatomon sighs, ever the responsible one. "Let's just focus on getting the job done quickly and safely."
Agumon and Gabumon both look at me. "Are we going to fight bad guys, Ethan?"
"You bet your scales we are," I say, grinning. "This is your chance to show me what you can do!"
"Alright, time to gear up," I announce. I grab my Digi-Camo, setting it to its orange and black scheme, throw on the goggles, and strap on the face mask. It's hero time, baby!
"Alright, let's Connect Jump!" I shout, and we pile in front of the TV screen. Cyberspace, here we come!
Navigating Cyberspace has become second nature. It feels like a high-speed data highway now, and I weave and dodge through the streams of information. It's still pretty trippy with all the neon and abstract shapes, but I'm getting used to it. I find a public terminal and force an exit.
I materialize in a back alley, about a block away from Times Square. I can already hear the buzz of the crowds and smell the questionable street meat. "Alright, team, let's move out!"
"Yeah!" Agumon and Gabumon say in unison.
I follow the tracker on the Digivice, which leads me straight to Times Square. But as I approach, I see the area is blocked off with police tape and flashing lights. What the heck?
I spot a couple of bystanders hanging around, looking bummed. "Hey, what's going on?" I ask, trying to sound casual.
"Gas leak," one of them says, rolling their eyes. "They shut down the whole area. Said it's too dangerous."
"Gas leak, huh?" I mutter to myself. Right, because gas leaks totally require heavily armed cops and barricades. Something's definitely fishy.
"Gatomon, BlackGatomon, stay in the Digivice for now. Agumon, Gabumon, you too."
"Are you sure this is a good idea, Ethan?" Gatomon asks.
"Don't worry, I got this."
I activate Digi-Camo and feel that familiar tingle as I fade from view. The light bends, and I'm invisible to the naked eye. Time to play peek-a-boo.
Slipping past the police line is child's play. Once inside, I quickly realize this ain't no ordinary gas leak. There are way too many people milling around, and they definitely aren't cops. They're dressed in dark suits, wearing those earpieces, and they carry themselves with this air of quiet authority. Government agents, definitely. But who?
I decide to put my hacking skills to the test. I focus on one of the agents, trying to tap into their comms. It takes a few seconds, but finally, I manage to get a signal.
"...perimeter secure. Still no sign of the target…"
"...Director wants it contained ASAP. No civilian casualties…"
Target? What is going on here?
I redouble my efforts, focusing on another agent. This time, I get a clear voice, "…Coulson to base, do you copy?"
Coulson? SHIELD! Of course, it's SHIELD.
Then I hear Coulson speak. "…we need to secure the creature spotted near the Marriott Marquis. I repeat, secure, not eliminate. Director's orders."
Creature? Secure? Oh, hell no. They're after the Digimon, too. I don't know what SHIELD would do with a Digimon, but I can't imagine it's anything good. Experimentation? Weaponization? Nope, not on my watch.
I gotta find that Digimon first. Who knows what SHIELD will do with it. I mean, it's SHIELD.
I tap the Digivice, bringing up the map. The signal is still strong, pulsing near the center of Times Square. Time to move.
