Chapter 6 - The Administrator's Throne

Cyrus was too stunned to speak. Time seemed to freeze as he sat in his broken car; his eyes were widened and locked onto the scene before him.

The intense blue light that spilled out of the gates cast a breathtaking glow across the scene before him, bathing a vast metallic platform that seemed to stretch endlessly into the distance.

Cyrus slowly came back to his senses as he took a deep breath; his breath misted in the cool night air.

"...This... this is simply ridiculous," he slowly muttered to himself, as he found it difficult to process the scene in front of him.

Blinking his eyes, he pushed open the car door, which creaked loudly, echoing in the empty space.

His shoes clinked softly on the metallic surface, each step reverberating throughout the vast emptiness around him.

He tilted his head back and slowly turned around in circles, his eyes flickering with awe.

The sheer magnitude of this platform really left him speechless; it seemed to stretch endlessly.

Even with his keen eyesight, the edges of the platform seemed to blur into the horizon.

From a bird's eye point of view, this gigantic platform resembled a perfect circle, with a waking at the center of an enormous wheel.

Thousands of roads are connected to this platform and spread outward, each leading deeper into the heart of the Ark. The design was simply impeccable; it's nothing short of a masterpiece.

Looking around, a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"Noah, I really have to give it to you. You really did good." Just then, Noah's cold voice sounded.

"Administrator, this is the Central Station Platform. Each road is designated for specific zones within the Ark. The shuttles stationed here are the transport units calibrated for automatic navigation."

Cyrus's gaze immediately shifted toward those roads where he saw countless shuttle buses lined up neatly in rows; there were thousands of them.

Their silver sleek bodies pulsed with faint blue lines, each one having an aerodynamic design that screamed advanced technology.

These shuttle buses are far beyond what the current technology of Gaia can make.

Cyrus swallowed hard, "This place looks straight out of a sci-fi movie."

He immediately made his way toward the shuttle buses, his shoes clicking on the metallic surface of the platform.

The shuttle buses hummed softly around him. When he arrived at the shuttle buses, he found that each road held row upon row of identical buses.

But one particular road immediately caught his eye; it was the center of the station, and was also much bigger than the other roads and seemed to extend deeper into the Ark than the others.

There were only twenty shuttle buses on the road; they were much bigger and more advanced looking than the other buses.

Noah's cold voice sounded once again, breaking through the silence.

"Administrator, these units belong to the Administrator Route; access is restricted. No one can take these buses without your permission."

Cyrus immediately raised an eyebrow and smirked, "My own personal lane, huh? Not bad... not bad at all."

He immediately walked toward one of the buses, and with a soft hiss, the doors automatically slid open, revealing a luxurious interior.

Without hesitation, Cyrus stepped in. The interior was perfect, shining with white surfaces glowing with blue light, soft cushioned seats lining up the walls.

As soon as he entered, the shuttle hummed softly as a large screen flickered to life.

A virtual image appeared on the screen; the image was made of countless tiny streams of data that formed into human-like features.

The face was expressionless as two glowing blue eyes stared at Cyrus.

Cyrus paused for a moment and then smiled softly, "So this is your virtual image?" "...So this is you, huh, Noah?"

He sat down on the cushioned seat and chuckled, "I gotta say, Noah, you look good."

"Thank you for the compliment, Administrator," Noah's virtual face mouth moved as it said in its usual cold voice.

Cyrus nodded and then looked at the virtual image and said, "Alright then, Noah, introduce the Ark to me."

"Yes, Administrator," Noah immediately replied.

The shuttle vibrated slightly as it slowly began to glide along the road; outside, the windows revealed a beautiful futuristic city, and the sight left Cyrus quite speechless.

Just then, the image on the screen changed as a 3D projection appeared on the screen; it changed to an aerial view of the Ark.

His breath hitched when he saw the aerial view of the Ark. Looking at the Ark, dozens of sectors sprawled outward from the center, perfectly symmetrical and interconnected through a network of intricate roads and transport systems.

Cyrus was once again too stunned to speak; he couldn't count how many times he had been shocked speechless by Noah.

The calm heart and demeanor he had practiced for ten years had been trampled on again and again by Noah countless times. Just then, Noah's voice came once again.

"Administrator, the Noah Ark has 31 Zones, and currently, this one is a 1 Star Noah Ark."

Noah immediately started to explain and introduce the Ark to Cyrus.

As it continued to explain each zone, 3D holograms appeared on the screen, allowing Cyrus to understand better.

"Zones 1-3 are for military training grounds. These zones include barracks, weapon testing facilities, storage areas for weapons, and simulation rooms."

"Zones 4-6 are for Weapon and Defense Production Bases. This includes light arms factories, heavy arms factories, drones, and defense systems facilities. And currently, there are damages."

"Zones 7-20 are residential living quarters. These include family complexes, single-person quarters, double and shared quarters, a public dining district with massive kitchens, advanced hospital sectors, school sectors, a recreation and morale center, and finally an agricultural dome."

"Zones 21-30 are research and development centers. These zones host: Engravings Research Lab, Genetic Modification Center, Beast Research Center, Plant Mutation Lab, Nuclei Purification Lab, Bio-engineering Hub, Cybernetics Lab, etc."

"Zones 31-34 are the Central Processing and Android Base. This is where the Core Reactor of the Ark is located; it's the energy source. There is also the Android Production Factory, the Ark AI Data Core, where processors and servers are connected to my main consciousness."

"Zones 35-37 form the Command Center of the entire Noah Ark. This includes the Strategic Command Hall, the War Council Chamber, and my Core Nexus. This area is heavily restricted, and only those who are given permission can gain access."

Cyrus was silent as he listened to Noah's explanation of the Ark; his eyes were filled with amazement when he looked at the various Zones Noah was introducing.

Soon, the shuttle came to a stop at the base of a gigantic spiraling tower that seemed to pierce into the sky.

This building is Zones 35-37, and it's right in the middle of the entire Ark as a single tall building; it's much bigger and more futuristic-looking than all the other buildings around.

Cyrus craned his neck and looked up but couldn't see the top of the building at all.

He stepped inside the building and appeared on the ground floor, which was a vast empty hall; there was nothing here at all.

He quickly made his way to the elevator, which automatically opened as he stepped in. With a whoosh, the elevator shot up, and the speed of its ascent kept increasing.

With every floor he passed, Cyrus's heartbeat quickened with excitement and adrenaline.

Soon, he reached the top floor, which was the Strategic Command Hall; the elevator door opened as he stepped inside the hall.

The moment he entered, the entire hall seemed to come to life as the lights came on.

Giant holographic screens immediately lit up along the walls, filling the hall with streams of data.

At the center stood an enormous glass-like command table that projected a massive globe of Gaia into the air.

Behind the table is a throne-like madly chair that looks really futuristic; the edges pulse faintly with blue and gold lights.

Cyrus's eyes were filled with wonder as his body trembled slightly. He walked around the command hall, looking at everything.

Noah's virtual image appeared in front of him; its cold void blue eyes kept staring at Cyrus as if studying his every move.

Cyrus's eyes were glued to the throne-like madly chair as he slowly approached it. His fingers brushed against it; it felt smooth and cool to the touch.

He lowered himself and slowly sank into the chair. The chair immediately adjusted to his size as softness enveloped his body.

He leaned back in the chair and placed one leg over the other, with his right hand supporting his chin as a smirk appeared on his face.

"Noah," he said softly as anticipation filled his voice, "I have to say again, you really outdid yourself. I really like this kind of feeling."
